Obnoxious is supporting the insurrection, Lysol treatments for COVID, Charlottesville, and general lies, misinformation, and histrionics (such as "why doesn't the left have to prove or verify anything!"). For what it's worth, if you and your hoaxy pals "did your research" (properly), you'd note that the allegations in the GA lawsuit mentioned by All_Pro_Bills_HoaxMan aren't verified (sworn) by the attorneys. So they have as much worth as the nonsense that's lobbed on this forum (Antifa! Fake news! Obama is a Muslim born in Indonesia! Burning Democrat Run Cities! Lysol and McDonald's secret sauce cures COVID!).

Sure. But you said "had" support of the party. She didn't then, and it likely will be tepid now. And again, this is only relevant because of its potential impact on downtown stadium development.

It's weird, for sure. And it only relates to the stadium insofar as, if plans change and there's a desire to put it downtown, what happens in November will dictate a lot of that. But, to be clear, Walton did not have party support in the primary. And party support will be tepid in the general. So Brown may win.

Doc's bottom line: HCQ is both yummy and an effective treatment for COVID. And, although I can't prove any type of meaningful voter fraud, we should make voting way more difficult because somebody made up a hoax about voter fraud that I bought into, just like I bought into the HCQ hoax. Good stuff.

Now, we're on to attacking the American system of elections as hopelessly flawed. I think we're both speaking parallel to each other. Someone had to "turn him in" for sure--the BOE doesn't prosecute, and would have to have referred the matter to the Erie County DA for that purpose. But my recollection (and it could be wrong) is that Thompson was nailed as part of the canvas. He put in an affidavit ballot, somebody challenged it, the challenge revealed that Rus lived in the Falls or wherever (but not Grand Island) and away we went. My point is that the existing electoral checks and balances are what got Rus caught. This is misguided. There is a presumption of regularity with respect to elections. Think there's fraud? Prove it. Otherwise, the election is valid. And, since voting is my right in New York State, I needn't show ID to exercise it. That's what the signature check is for.

Now I'm not being snarky. He was nailed because he voted (illegally, given that he didn't live in the county in which he voted) by affidavit ballot, which is what happens when, among other things, the signatures don't match or their isn't an address on file with the BOE for the voter. Affidavit ballots typically are reviewed for accuracy and validity by the BOE, and sometimes by candidates and their organizations for the same reasons. So it wasn't that someone "narc'd" on him. It was that the system worked, and his effort to commit voter fraud was caught and failed miserably.

Then maybe we can get rid of voter suppression efforts in places like Georgia. This is how "not a big deal" it was. The player in question's best friend on the team was also the biggest womanizer on the team. (Neither player has been mentioned this thread.) So, there was sort of a pleasant, harmless joke that these two guys were on each end of the "spectrum." It was told to me that way to illustrate the point that nobody cared then. In my view, nobody should care now. None of us should judge who makes another person happy.
