FYI - This Cuomo news today is a problem. This isn’t a political statement. It’s a Bills issue. The Bills don’t cut the deal with Poloncarz or the County. It’s the Governor. And now, the pro-Bills governor is under significant, real, severe duress. Now we have no idea with whom the Bills will be able to cut a deal. Keep an eye on what Carl Heastie says about this in the coming days. If Heastie turns on him, then it’s over, and we’re looking at Governor Hochul in the short term and Governor James/DiNapoli/Hochul/Zeldin/someone else in the long term.

I somewhat disagree with respect to sentence #2. The NFL does not want Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer questioning the NFL’s anti-trust exemption. So, yes, perhaps the NFL wouldn’t mind the Bills in Toronto or Mexico City or London or even Austin. But that candle might not be worth the game given the keen interest of the Senate Majority Leader in this topic.

Again, it's a negotiation. Stake an extreme position to start, then walk it back, and everyone feels like they get something. It's the perfect chance for the Pegulas to exit the Sabres at a massive, tax-free profit (assuming someone is dumb enough to pay for that franchise).

It will probably come in around 55/45 public/private split. The big contribution from the county will be ECC South land. But it has to get done fast in case Cuomo gets in trouble next election cycle. The Bills want it done ASAP for a reason.

Funny you say that. I've seen him around and about in OP and I've been under the impression that he's in great shape, but isn't really that large.

Can't remember. Memory is seared with images of loser Trumpers storming the Capitol on January 6. Their views were clouded by all of the smoke and hoax and treason lingering in the crowd.

I was just thinking today, in a somewhat related vein, that Trump/QOP candidate might lose in 2024 because the anti-vax campaign might kill off just enough of the QOP base in places like Florida, Texas, and Georgia to put sanity in office again in that cycle.
