Yeah, so I got bored. If this has already been done, I apologize for posting something similar again. I felt like making a petition, so I thought just for the hell of it, a "Draft Nugent" petition sounded good. Once again, if it was done, just skip over. if not, sign your name and devote yourself to this special cause! http://www.petitiononline.com/getnuge/petition.html

How would we have fared against the Eagles?
Josh replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You guys also have to remember that they are in the NFC, a conference in which the Bills swepped by a margin of 20 points per game. Do I think we could beat them? Probably not, but let's not forget how terrible that conference is. Whenever they faced an AFC powerhouse, they lost. -
Ah, I see. So perhaps he was drunk when he handed the ball off to Harrison?!
-
Yeah, I saw it. Dan was clearly pissed - his face was bright red.

"They're better because. . .No TD. No Mularkey." You act like he drove that team into the ground. You do realize that Mularkey's record as Offensive Coordinator was 29-18, don't you?

Eary predictions for next year.

It's not like we actually beat the Jets this past season or anything. . . -
salaries of local sports radio guys
Josh replied to Mr. Sparkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Local radio jockeys (sports or not) do NOT make a lot of money at all. . .most entry level announcers start at the minimum $5 per hour and the highest it seems to go in the WNY market, as far as I know, is around $15. But WGR is a little bigger than some stations because of its relationship with Entercom. -
AHAHHAHA. Crap post, I know, but that was classic.

Unless Campbell cannot heal fast enough over the offseason, I wouldn't look for the coaching staff to give Tom the go ahead to search for a new starting Tight End. Mularkey loves Campbell and praises him every chance he gets as a "blue collar, hard working, physical football player." That's the same definition that players and coaches gave Mularkey when he played. Chances are there will be a new one on the depth chart, but I wouldn't be shocked to see Campbell back as the starter.

Can someone explain the deal with Wilson, Al Davis/Dolphins/Patriots? I ran my mouth on another message board about how much crap it was that he didn't even make it as a finalist. However, that board is full of Patsy fans and I know I will hear some "What the hell are you talking about?" stuff, simply because I mentioned how he "saved" those franchises - yet I have come to realize that I don't actually know anything besides that. . .can someone explain?!

Here is what Marv Levy said in his NFL.com article on Moss: "I'll tell you this: I wouldn't want him on my football team. I don't care how good he is." . . .and I'll agree.
-
Nope, he was cut. It's too bad we didn't pick up DeMulling instead. . .

Damn it, I hope Moulds' record stands. . .Wayne is on his way to breaking it.

K Mike Nugent Stats - Last 3 Years For Buckeyes
Josh replied to Mark VI's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You also have to put into account that the NFL ball itself is different than the one used in colleges. . .plus, while Nugent did kick at a college somewhat near the WNY area, kicking in Ralph Wilson Stadium is something totally different and a kicker needs to master the art of doing so in that place. So there may be some learning curve for him in the beginning. . . However, getting him in the 2nd round would not be a horrible idea because this guy is solid. I don't think Tom Donahoe would ever do it, but you never know -- someone start a petition. -
He hit a 48 yarder that was called back. I was shocked when he hit it through. . .regardless, I am tired of being nervous when our kicker takes the field.

Should have never dumped Hollis
Josh replied to SouthTownBills51's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is there even a remote possibility of signing Christie this offseason? How is his relationship with Donahoe? He is a free agent and has made a few fifty-yarders this season. . .It'd be great to see him in a Bills uniform again, as he is the team's all-time leading scorer. I'm just curious. -
Who's going to give up a first rounder for Losman? He was picked in the late first round, sure, but he is also raw and unproven. CUT Eric Moulds? He is this team's #1 offensive weapon, leader and mentor. . . and if anything, cutting him would kill cap space more than opening it. San Diego is going to tag Brees. I would like to have him, but this plan has us getting more than we would be giving away.

Associated Press Report: "...Bills' owner Ralph Wilson remained upbeat." ``We had a bad day and it didn't work out,'' Wilson said. ``I'm really looking forward to next year, because we have something to build on.'' "Like they say in horse racing, we came with a rush but got beat at the wire," Bills owner Ralph C. Wilson Jr. said. ...Doesn't sound so pissed to me...
-
Let's get rid of McGahee while we're at it too. . .we don't want any offensive weapons on this team.
-
Wait. . .isn't there some Losman guy on the roster. . .?

Did Something Happen at Empire Sports
Josh replied to BuffaloBorn1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have the patheticly expensive Adelphia Digital Cable and still have it. -
Ironically it could be Gregg Williams holding us back . . .
-
Just for kicks. . . Brady on the year has thrown for 247 yards, 5 touchdowns and 5 interceptions against Miami’s #1 pass defense. Drew Bledsoe on the year against that same defense has thrown for 489 yards, 5 touchdowns and no interceptions.
-
Heh, people will still complain. "TD could have waited to grab him in the fifth! We needed that one other guy!"
