  1. The best part is: Dick Jauron got his first win against...the Dolphins! I was one of the many who said that we needed a coach who could match brains with Saban...and that Jauron surely was not the right guy. Boy, I feel so great to be wrong. I will be playing the Dick Jauron Song for the rest of the week. (A Marv Levy team will never bow to Miami)
  2. Looks like it could be another standout day for Clements. . .Ugh.
  3. Mularkey is trying to test the safeties...and I bet is he dumfounded that they can't even get Culpepper back without a mistake.
  4. Wow - Lindell has really turned around over the past few years.
  5. CNN is playing this thing heavy today, but they are coming off as complete morons. The male anchor didn't know where Chautauqua County was and CNN keeps referring to him as "Buck." Nobody has told them that it is "Bucky."
  6. I hear Terry Tims has a high-motor.
  7. Whitner was average, I believe he had a few tackles...but he dropped an interception. I was sitting right on the 30, and it was clear that he had shot at it. McCargo was quiet. Ko Simpson was very active on both ST and D. I love that pick. As far as Clements goes...yuck. He got picked on early and was absolutely terrible. Johnson chewed him up.
  8. All I kept hearing from friends and local news all day, was that it was going to be pulled at midnight...and here it is, 12:25 am...and its still broadcasting.
  9. To my surprise, Marv's name jumped out at me in today's issue of the New York Times. While he wasn't the focus of the article per se, reporter Judy Battista did consult him on the subject and even used him in the story lede. There are various Bills mentions throughout the report. I just thought it was interesting. I didn't see it posted anywhere, so: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/12/sports/f...r=1&oref=slogin
  10. Absolutely. He went the extra mile to criticise the team.. "So, let's get this straight...the Bills did this and this?" At least Kiper defended the Donte pick, but Mort was relentless.
  11. The Bills update their website design for each new season (or two), so I wouldn't look too much into it. However...yes, the fact that the colors are different is interesting.
  12. Best available: http://www.houstontexans.com/team/players/.../Capers_Dom.jpg No camera man would DARE get any closer, according to various reports.
  13. The Bills have finally contacted a coach to interview to satisfy the minority requirement. WIVB's Dennis Williams has stated that the Bills have asked for, and recieved permission, to interview James Lofton. No specific date was given.
  14. Right before he threw it back to Scott Levin, he said many NFL insiders believe "Jauron has the inside track."
  15. Beningi says "Jauron has inside track." Other various notes: - Sherman was brought to OBD in a small crappy-looking SUV (where's the limo?!) - Meeting lasted early morning to late afternoon. - Sherman is now out of Buffalo.
  16. For those interested, here is a link where you can watch Mike Sherman arriving at the Buffalo-Niagara airport. http://www.wgrz.com/news/news_article.aspx?storyid=34569 Thought it could be posted, but wasn't worth a new topic.
  17. I just got one of those sickening feelings in the pit of my stomach now . . .
  18. Yeah, I put that in one thread about Sherman, the day Mularkey quit. It'd be pretty ironic if we actually get Sherman, judging by the picture and the attitudes of both of them in it.
  19. It all comes down to one basic question: Does he bring a high-character podium with him?
  20. Quite the interesting and ironic shot right here: http://www.dack.com/images/weblog/mike-sherman-sleeping.jpg
  21. Martz blasted the Bills organization last year. He FIRED Bobby April. He has a huge ego. He has health issues. His style of football won't work with these players and in this weather. Unless, of course, you were being sarcastic...
  22. I know, I know . . . there is always criticism with every high profile job. I'm not saying that doesn't exist, because that would be foolish. I just . . . I don't know. For some reason I feel sorry for the man.
  23. Absorbing criticism from millions is easier said than done . . .
