  1. I noticed there is no player responsibility clauses. You are equally covered if you decided to head butt goal posts as an example. No attribution to injury to NFL is needed - some players do other things which can cause injuries post career such as join wrestling or other risky endeavors, use illegal drugs. etc or have had injuries prior to joining NFL. Basically this is just a post-career extra insurance package only paid by the "partners" who are owners.
  2. Yes despite all his efforts. Maybe he needs to act like a former GM did and call Ralph's daughter names to get cut.
  3. This was very predictable. Byrd has been instructed by his agent to tell Bills by his actions that tagging him and refusing to agree to not tag him next year will not result in useful plays for the Bills.
  4. Never looked into genealogy since half of my family is unknown (parents divorced when I was 3 and did not see mother or any other relatives again except once at her funeral viewing 10 years later) and my father's side is not real talkative but someday I will, probably when I retire.
  5. Tennessee took Wilson and Fitzpatrick. Tampa took Lindell. No surprise you did not know that.
  6. You get no credit for cuts just your FAs signed by others.
  7. Known by SameOldBills; he also knows the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy and a pink elephant.
  8. Bills offense and defense need to work together. When our defense is not effective offense needs to stop with hurry up and just make some first downs even if they are not scoring so defense has a chance to rest or adjust scheme.
  9. Not worried about 'we' especially when it appears the person has made up his mind already and does not seem to know it is not a Batman movie, it is a team up movie.
  10. I walked thru site as a kid since my grandmother lived nearby at property adjacent to stadium across creek. That winter was very mild and I remember we could not even do any tobogganing since there was not enough snow.
  11. You can only tag a player twice in a row. I'd like to see a new nickname for Byrd - 'Tag you are it'
  12. Michael Keaton is like the Joker wearing Batman's costume.
  13. http://www.flickeringmyth.com/2013/08/ben-affleck-cast-as-new-batman-in-man.html Better than Michael Keaton.
  14. Hope for a bright sunny day for the Panthers to over heat in their black uniforms. Also I find seat in shady section since I easily get sunstroke and looking for ticket to game.
  15. Incorrect. Bills tagged him such that Parker could seek contracts and if Bills did not match the signing team needed to give Bills 2 picks. Bills did not think enough of Byrd to tag him with an exclusive rights contract. This is primary reason for no trade - teams dislike giving away picks except for elite players and dislike negotiating for other teams. I also think Parker's reputation hurts for teams do not want to deal with holdouts and other tactics when it is time to renew the contracts.
  16. This is incorrect. Some players have "no trade" or restricted trade clauses in contracts.
  17. Based up Pettine's principles they need to be interchangeable so a player can do multiple things from same set of personnel. Sometimes the strong safety drops back and sometimes the strong safety moves forward and free safety does opposite.
  18. My wife has got a warning for driving too slow. Speed zone sign was partially hidden and she did not see it. She had cop behind her for several miles so she is concentrating on maintaining the 25 mph speed not knowing it changed to 45 mph. He finally stopped her and gave her warning.
  19. Well if he was as good as some claim on this board they would but he ISN'T that good of a safety. Actually his agent could have brought to Bills other offers other than 2 picks.
  20. Why couldn't his agent arrange one, isn't that his job? Bills did not use exclusive tag on Byrd.
  21. I am not positive there is any forward momentum. Byrd exercised his option to sign at last minute and his agent showed it is all about the Byrd and the Bills are exercising their right to not have him on active roster if he is not ready to play. I'd hate for him to get "an injury" and have need to sit out most of season to protect himself for free agency next year while collecting a full paycheck. I am sure it is a strategy Parker is considering.
  22. Yes I mentioned this as a possibility of happening a few weeks ago. Looks like Bills are still considering it: http://sports.yahoo.com/news/bills-seek-roster-exemption-nfl-200514809--nfl.html
