  2. Well, using your recipe Drew should have taken us to the SB as we did trade for him afterall. We all now know that going to the SB under Drew aint gonna happen, and more likely it wasnt Drew who took the Pats to the SB but rather the team. Warner, Garcia, Dilfer, all have done jack squat when the went to a team that wasnt as good. Hmmmmmm almost like THEY werent that good after all. The data seems to show that getting some late round clown or undrafted guy can ONLY work for teams that have all the other stuff you need to get to the dance; D, supporting cast, o-line, coaching. Fact is, we are MUCH MUCH MUCH better off going with a guy that has as much talent as possible rather than trying to find the next Tom Brady. You, in fact, claimed that MANY QB's were "all" we needed to get to the dance a few years back. You, in fact, claimed that Warner, Dilfer, Garcia would ALL do what Tom Bardy has done in NE for us, and was all we needed. Hell at one point you wanted us to simply pikc up Jeff Blake. All the other guys that you claim are all we need havent done squat and wont without a stud team around them. We havent had a stud team, may be closer now than since our SB years, but STILL couldnt do it behind a mediocre QB named Drew. Your plan really only works for the Pats and has NOT worked for any other team. If you can find the next Tom Brady, by all means, clamor for him. HE, my friend, represents the enigma, NOT the 1st round QB's. Facts are facts. 6 of 8 of the playoff teams had 1st round QB's, then 3 of 4, now 1 of 2. The team that has the late round gem is NE and IMO is the ONLY team that can do it in the whole damn league. Go ahead, talk about Atl and Indy all you want, even NYJ. Id MUCH prefer to simply GET to the playoffs with a 1st rounder than NOT DO IT AT ALL behind the next Warner, Dilfer, Garcia, Blake, or Bledsoe! ALL of the 6 out of 8 playoff squads (round 2) had the 1st rounder that THEY drafted! Those odds are very much more in favor of OUR situation where we drafetd JP in the 1st. Right about now, id LOVE to be in Indy's shoes, or Atlanta's, or Pittsburghs, or even the Jets and get in rather than talk endlessly about the next Bledsoe that is supposedly all we need while watching other teams in the playoffs!

Seattle’s signing bonus is $12 million; agent Roosevelt Barnes wants at least $14 million, the amount the Seahawks forked over for free-agent RDE Wistrom. my mistake, but if that the going rate, I say get your self a top tier LT. spread it out over many years or go with a Tra Thomas type.

  7. OK, So here is my 2.0 version of my dream offseason. Bills daily is reporting that the Bills would take a 4.3 hit of the 6.5 cap figure for cutting Drew. Thats 2.2 mil in cap savings if he is gone. He may restructure with a pay cut and save us more, lets assume he is cut. Moulds is set tomake 8.7 and would only cost us 4 mil if cut. Hes staying and will restructure, I say we recoup maybe 3.5 mil out of the restructure. Bills daily says they are expected to be around 8 mil under. So, add all that up and you have around 13 mil under the cap!!!! Now, with that much cap dough, I think we do the following: Jonas Jennings- Is really not a top 5 or even top 10 LT, I think the Bills look at it like why pay Jennings even close to 3-4 mil per? Why not pay one of the top 10 LT's only a mil or so more? Ogdne signed a six year extension and made 3.47 mil this year (does not include bonus money). The bonus was 5.8mil I think. Why not pay Pace, Jones, or Tra Thomas say 4.5 mil with a 5 mil bonus and get one of those guys for a little more? I think the Bills go this route. My guess is Walter Jones. Sea has Hasselbeck, Shaun Alexander, and Walter Jones all set to be UFA's. The can only franchise 1. Alexander is a top 5 back. Rumors say they are allowing Walter Jones to leave. So, Sign Walter Jones for 4.5 mil per (goes up each year) plus a 5 mil bonus. Now your down to 8.5 mil left Next, resign Pat but NOT for anything more than 2nd tier money. Say 2.5-3 mil per. If not upgrade with a Corey Simon type, or give Chris Hovan a shot but at the right price. Lets say its 3 mil per for Pat, now your down to 5.5 left. Now, go and get Bubba Franks, I think he can be had for say 2-2.5 mil per. That leaves say 3 mil left. Thats more than enough for the draft without a 1st rounder. Trade Henry to a team that give us a 2nd, even if we trade a later rounder to get a second. Draft: 2 (1) David Baas- Mich, plays just like Hutchinson but starts at C, can play either C or G which makes him just a cut above CJ Brooks in my mind. If Baas is gone, take Brooks 2 (2) Mike Nugent- K that you all already know. 3 Jerome Mathis WR- Hampton- We get our #3 from day one and can let Reed walk and save some more cap, or maybe we keep Reed and let them fight it out. 4 Calvin Armstrong- OT- Washington State- great insurance and value this deep in the draft, can be a backup and learn behind Jones. 5 JJ Arrington RB Cal- We grab a guy as insurance to backup McGahee and maybe Shaud Williams because of his emergence 6 Diamond Ferri S Syracuse- Adds depth and lets face it we dont have too much as far as backups at the S spots 7 Stephan Lefors QB Louisville- I like his potential and as a 7th, why not? So, Our o-line went to very very good with: Jones, Baas/Brooks, Teague, Villarial, Williams We upgraded our TE bigtime with Franks. and we resigned big Pat. Now throw in a june pickup at QB as our backup to JP an d we are set.

  9. Bell is a UFA. My buddy says that the Steelers may let him walk. I think I might. HE has an injury concern but has been a stud in the past as far as sacks go. Fletcher would save us 1.6 mil if released. Set to make 3.8 and would have a 1.6 hit if cut.   11. If Drew indeed is set to be cut because he wont come in as a backup and/or wont take a paycut, why cut him outright? Rather, trade him AND Henry to a team needing BOTH a QB and a RB like the Cards. We take less of a hit as far as the cap goes, and we could be our compensation from a 3rd rounder to say a 2nd rounder. Id much prefer this not just because the 2nd round is a higher round but because the value in the 2nd is better than the 1st in my mind. Consider this: Mike Munoz, CJ Brooks, Elton Brown, maybe David Baas all look to go in the 2nd rounds. Players I like may also move up to the 2nd when all is said and done. Mike Nugent, Jerome Mathis to name a few. I really believe that Mike Nugent pushes into the 2nd. He is the most hyped K since Janikowski. BTW, I bet that the Steelers get into the mix as a possible destination for TH if Bettis retires. Staley is nothing more than a backup. A hard runner like Henry is right up there alley.

  13. Dont care, not our problem, we have 2 1st round QB's, myself and the Bills know that one of them, JP, will lead us to the SB. Some late round clown may lead the Pats to the dance but the Pats aint the Bills and never will be. We are lucky to have true talent at QB on our squad and we will reap the rewards trust me!
  14. This year is the year that the QB with the true talent wins the SB, Philly beats NE and McNabb wins the SB! Screw Peter Brady he will permanently suck in my mind and it wont be until he stinks up the league on some clown team that you all finally realize it. Dont worry. that idiot will ask for top 5 money when his contract runs up, and Belicheck wont pay it because he knows what I know, that Brady is a fraud!   17. Well, you did at least get to the root of the problem using the method of the "both installed, switch the cable back and forth routine". XP started this whole "signed driver" thingy that screws up installations. I imagine that the card you have isnt mainstream? and therefore Microsoft doesnt have a driver for it? The best place to get the driver installation info is from the cards manufacturers website. You could also try running a windows update and select custom install, it will look at everything you have onyour computer and will find drivers tod ownload and install. It works on SOME things. The input error you got is interesting, thats a new one to me. If it displays at all that means that it can work. Maybe I didnt read you right, when you said it gave you and input error was it showing windows with a error window? or did it never even get there and simply the monitor was dark except for the monitor giving you the error? If its the later, you may be in trouble. Whats the card? Manufacture, Model number. I can try to figure it out for you.

  21. You dont have to replace with a AGP. You may however, not have your BIOS checking for new hardware. Your BIOS should find the card and install it. What I would do is re-install the old card AND install the new card at the same time. Run the monitor off the old card. Go to the control panel/system/hardware devices and uninstall the old card. Make sure that the new card shows up in there. Then switch the cable to the new card, physically remove the old card, and restart. See, its important that you try to install the new card while you are using the old one, that way you will know whether Windows "sees" the new card. If it does, you probably are fine to remove the old one and switch. You also can unhook the monitor cable and switch to the other card while Windows is running. I have done it. The monitor just shows no signal until its hooked to the new card.
  22. All those guys arent going anywhere. Miller is long gone by our pick. So if you feel we need one of the leagues best, trade Travis for him instead of the 2nd rounder. Problem is ALL those guys are on teams that dont really need or want a stud RB. Shockey is the only one, and the Gianst arent showing interest in Travis. So, I dont see that we can do what you want. Franks and Becht are both big upgrades IMO, not pro-bowlers, but big upgrades. That may be all we can do and is probably good enough.
  23. Coaching-very good actually, Im suprised you went here its one of our strengths. QB- It may not be next year because Drew is done and JP may take a year or two to be great TE- We need a good one, I like Bubba Franks but I also think Anthony Becht got a bad wrap OL- Always a complaint, I think we add a stud LT and draft a very good LG high, besides that we are fine on the line. I think the question you pose is more about how WE could get there rather than looking at it from 10000 feet, Iraq probably looks good from up there. The true way we get into the AFC Championship is we find a way to beat NE! To be in the championship game, we must win our division! Seriously, that ONE thing fixes so much for us. I think, right now, today, the Bills are good enough to play anyone. Unfortunatley we are NOT getting what we need from our QB. And we certainly dont have a QB who can beat NE. I have my opinion on the right move to fix the QB spot, others have there opinions. Lets not make this a QB debate. The only requirement for our QB is that he CAN beat NE, and that he plays average to decent. I think the emergence of McGahee and Evans, our stellar D, and good ST makes us a tough team. The supporting cast and decent line play lets us win with a decent or average QB. Back to the point. Everyone has forgotten how imporatnt winning you division is. This is the single best move you can make to get DEEP into the playoffs. You get one week off at least, play one game at home at least (in most cases). Home, for the Bills, is huge. So, we have to beat NE. I think it can be done for sure. We MUST find a way to throw Brady off his game and to get pressure on him. I hate the guy but will give him credit, he does stand in there and make throws. He doesnt get rattled at all. With our D line and there mediocre sack ability, I think it is unlikely that we get to Brady and get sacks. So dont try, rather, get pressure so that he doesnt have all day to throw. I cant tell you how many times I have watched that clown sit there for like 10 seconds before he has to throw. The best move would be to change up our coverage and add more coverage guys. Maybe pull Posey out and add another DB. I think our D handles Dillon without Posey in the game. Next, our O. We can get yards on anyone. We can run on them. They tend to stack the box so we should run AROUND them. Lets go with shuttles, off tackles, pitches. Run a 1 back set some times and add the extra WR's. Law is the ONLY guy I fear in their secondary. And, I think BOTH Moulds and Evans canget yards on him. Add a TE who can get open and catch and we can move the ball on them. We need MORE options in the passing game on passing plays. We also need a QB who looks off the first option, SIGH! and checks down. Spread the ball around on O, and run AROUND them on runs. BTW, adding a QB who can run helps us here too. SO, lets say we get it done and can at least split with NE. The Jets are the other team to watch, but we have consistently split with them and I see that we can win BOTH, and MUST going forward. The Fins are the joke of the league, we can and will beat them twice. SO we win 5 of 6 in the division, then play tough and win 5 of rest of the games and we go 10 and 6 with a division win and a good record versus our division and the AFC. Thats the other thing, start considering the games against other AFC teams as must wins! Lose to the NFC teams. I think the big hurdle is beating NE, we need to say that its unacceptable to start a QB who cant beat them, and its unacceptable to 'settle' for a shot at the wild card. We need to get back to striving to win the division and that means NE is in our cross hairs. Take care of our work in our division and we should be fine. Not eays to do by any means but can be done with a tougher mentality and a change in priorities about who we need to beat and when.

  25. No offense taken, difference of opinion. I feel that adding the additional "QB can run" option keeps D's honest. It wasnt so long ago that Flutie basically forced D's to assign a guy to shadow him. Thats one more guy who ISNT covering our WR's. To me its about taking pressure off Moulds and Evans by forcing the D to stay more at home. Furthermore, I agree that teams can be very successfull with a "placeholder" at QB. But that method absolutely must have a stud D, a great supporting cast, and a very good o-line. The Bills havent done the best of jobs as far as all of that goes. Although, I do think the Bills are in very good shape as far as supportingcast, D, and even the o-line is concerned. Thats one of the reasons that I think JP will do fine. Back to the topic, Id like us to have a mobile QB, but NOT at the cost of being tough (RJ), being tall (Flutie), or arm strength (Garcia?). I think though that JP has it all as far as that goes, tough, tall, arm strength, and can run. We will have to see how it plays out.
