And yes, coaches absolutely play and coach so blame can be diverted to players as they "did what every other coach " would do, as idiot Rex said as he punted in OT from the plus side of the field in a game that a tie eliminates you. And Rex was right, a lot of coaches would have kicked there, and they are idiots when it comes to game theory and situational football. And yep, I cannot design a play, but I can sure as chit understand clock management, game strategy and what philosophy is consistently winning in the league.

There are a ton of coaches that have a flawed philosophy based on learning football 30 years ago and not progressing. Your boy Doug Marrone being #1. The game has changed. Much like basketball coaches who insist a 8 foot jump shot is better percentage shot than a 23'9 3 pointer, playing for field position, establishing run at all costs, picking guys cause they are better at special teams while there are better position players is a flawed, outdated strategy. As is the obsession with penalties and turnovers.

He readily admits he was never a coach etc, but he does start to spot trends and problems before most. 8 games into TT career, he was calling out the lack of throws over the middle, lack of anticipation throws, lack of awareness etc..this when everyone else was heaping praises on TT(me included) He has been all over the "TT does not fir this offense" since early summer, and really been harping on it since the Watkins trade. I know early, but so far appears to be the case. I admit I like Jeremy cause he tends to think outside traditional sports axioms, and I have been that way for 30 years.

OTHER PROHIBITED ACTS BY THE OFFENSEBlocking more than one yard beyond the line of scrimmage by an offensive player prior to a pass being thrown is offensive pass interference. See 8-3-1 for exception for an ineligible offensive player. The pick (block) occurred more than one yard past the line, the refs ruled it was within one, not reviewable, end of story. If you want to claim no pick, that is not what the refs ruled.

Pick plays are illegal one yard past the line of scrimmage, this was past one yard and thus illegal

So, you listen every day and to every segment it sounds like...but they are awful and you get to say how you hate all the NYC guys as well, and talk again about you hate listening to the morning show at GR, even though you still do and another..GR is awful, but I listen all day everyday. TT strength is downfield, vertical throws, this offence is timing, horizontal throws. John, for me this has nothing to do with the $2.99/month, as i don't believe that amount in today's day and age is even a blip to 99% of people on this board. It is pure content driven, and by content, i mean Sully, Gleason, Graham, and Harrington. I was always a paid digital subscriber of the BN , even though avoiding the paywall was and still is easy peazy . I believe in paying for things I consume if there is a charge, as I do with my WAPO and WSJ subscriptions, I pay for all my music through legitimate sites etc. But the day Gleason said I was a loser was the last straw, and I canceled my subscription to the BN that day, and let them know the reason why. I know there is other good content on the Blitz and the BN in general now, but out of principle, I will not spend a cent on that paper until some of that crowd is weeded out. Might be biting my nose, I understand that, but what is a better suggestion from you on how to show my displeasure with the "talent" than withholding my money, as little as that may be. My sense and I could be dead wrong and would love to get your insight, is these guys are protected by the guild and have been able to push an agenda since the very first meeting with Terry way back in the day. Maybe the new Editor can make some changes. Having said that, I do not use illegal ways to go around the paywall, as easy as that is. I do read articles non-sports articles from the BN, from my allotted free ones, and will continue in that method to some changes in the sports department are made.
