The AUTOMATED cameras DC uses for traffic enforcement spits out tickets to black drivers more than white drivers. the media, at least in RVA ..they are the ones using it to push their message. Was int he A block this morning on the local with the accompanying message that Covid and Delta is becominmg increasingly problematic for children. Any time a child dies, it is tragic. But the media here certainly never mentions any of the, on average, 6 pediatric deaths attributed to influenza per flu season here in VA. I mean, not a single mention We have had a combined 3 pediatric deaths in VA from Covid spanning 18 months...you tell me who is using the tragic death of a child to push a narrative?

Two things here 1) no one said , Certainly not me, people were not dying because of Covid 19. The assertion I am making and you clearly cannot follow is the numbers and counting can change based. Even the CDC estimates , key word here is estimates excess deaths “ associated “ with Covid is 75-80 %. Where are the other 20 % coming from? Collateral damage I guess. 2) why don’t you answer the question why the CDC is making recommendations off a presentation that has a slide in there showing 15% of hospital deaths that were Covid positive in May were fully vaccinated. 3) also, please explain the PTown study contained in same presentation as the basis for new masking recommendations and why you believe in it’s veracity and why it should be used to guide national Covid policy moving forward. Until you answer those questions, I will not answer any of yours.

My complaint with your posts is the “ do you know what this means/ is, I suspect you do not”. It’s Condescending , and it implies those posting are rubes and surely not capable of critical thought. Trolling activity. In terms of the answer, I absolutley answered. I suspect you do not understand the answer so I will explain in more detail. The majority of older folks and people with greater comorbidities were first up in the vax line. As they got 5-6-7 months removed from taking the vax , those conditions ran their course and nature took over. As the vaccine did it’s job , many of these folks would be asymptomatic or mild symptoms and only testing upon hospitalization for their other ailments. They died from those other conditions, not Covid, and rightly not being counted as Covid death, as @oldmanfan correctly pointed out. Unfortunately , the same could not be said for all pre vaccine Covid deaths. Early in the pandemic especially. See Birx below. Many still question cause of death based on funding rules if a facility was treating someone for Covid as opposed to advanced kidney disease. I am certainly not calling out any grand conspiracy theory, just that the CDC if full of poop and will assuage numbers that fit their message better.

Old people that are fully vaccinated are dying of old age things..things like kidney failure, things like cancer, things like heart attacks....like just plain old old age. They are also dying with Covid. Not because of it, but with it. Hey, guess what...those same old people dying of those same old people things but testing positive for Covid have been counted as Covid deaths since the start. Are you suggesting we should count deaths differently now ? also, None of that changes the fact the CDC been telling us less than 1/2 of 1% of deaths of people who test positive for Covid have been fully vaccinated.. people...their own data says 15%.

ATT sold off a big chunk of DTV already in the spring. The deal structure put an enterprise value of DTV at $16B, ATT paid $64B for it 5 years ago. DTV is a hardware intensive business at both ends...delivering and receiving the content. I pay less for the same channels right now on youtube tv than i paid just for equipment on DTV. AND, both my kids get it in their houses as family members for free. Now, i have kids in college and its how i have gotten Sunday Ticket last two years...and ST will be something new withing two years so I am all good.

One correction , I despise Trump and could never vote him. He divided our country in a way that overrides all his policy decisions.. some which I agreed with, most I did not. having said that, I have said since last April I have no clue how a political affiliation should affect how this virus is attacked and what the science and the data says. it’s unfortunate the political hacks on both sides see an opportunity to gain votes instead of save lives and do what’s right for our country by using misinformation and outright lies to make their side appear the better.

I fully support the the effectiveness of vaccines, nothing has changed. They are lifesavers, I think you are an idiot if you don’t take them.
