  1. guess you dont like to read. The study done by the Cleveland Clinic posited getting a shot provided no additional protection over natural anti bodies formed by those that have had Covid. So, if it adds no additional benefit, why would someone take the shot that potentially can make them sick. Just answer that question in the context of this study. And BTW, i know plenty of people that was not a " headache and a fever" but were in bed for 2 or 3 days feeling like a truck had run them over.
  2. The study said “ no need for those who have had Covid to get vaccine” , followed by “ those who have had Covid are 2x more likely to adverse reactions “ According to those two statements, someone who has previously had Covid would have to be a complete idiot to get a shot that provides zero additional benefit but has a high chance of making you sick.
  3. does he dress like Pops?
  4. hey, who asked you? That looks like a fine vehicle! You are gunna come to tailgate no? My bride is coming!!!
  5. Agreed! And when the ball hits my $250K vehicle, someone really gunna pay!
  6. Hammers lot sucks for kids...fun as hell for adults, sucks for kids. Cars are jammed in pretty tight, no real room to throw ball, run around etc..even for the opener with our configuration...if Hammer wants to do that again. Not sure how many less cars he gets with that configuration, but after going a year with no cash flow, sure he is gunna need to maximize revenue this year. The opener this year is gunna be nucking futs I think at Hammers...tough environment for an 8 year old. This coming from someone who has always brought kids to games...since they were 7 and 5. Might want to think of parking somewhere else and walking over...stay if you like the envirnoment, but have somewhere to go if just not a great scene for an 8 year old. I used to recommend the back lot of ECC for people with kids..huge fields to play, the craziness not so bad..where I always went when kids were with us. However, they have converted part of that lot to the UBER lot since last time i was there...so i really cant offer an opinion. Anyone been back there last 3 years?
  7. Now, defend your position against the Wade article?
  8. I did nothing of the sort. Show me where I pasted anything from him. Damn, can you not defend a single position you take? Can you only sling lies ?
  9. WTF, can you not read or do you just choose to be obtuse. Please point to one area, just one, where I use Woods as a source or agree or disagree with his summation. Ya can’t, cause I have not. My position on this particular thread topic has always, always, been I care not what Woods take was, but the underlying analysis by a respected scientific author employed by the NYT merits serious consideration. you however, choose to make the discussion about James Woods and his opinions.. why I don’t know. So, read the article, form an opinion, and dispute or agree with Wades take. Or, don’t , and don’t hang around here cause you can’t defend your takes and you are intellectually dishonest. Honest folks can defend their positions with logic, not ad hominem attacks. but you are not honest, or smart, or intellectually curious, you are just interested in toting a party line.
  10. Wrong. You said , and I quote” I do not get my news from Hollywood”. The news was the article, not what James Woods thought of it. But what has evolved over the last 5-10’yeats is you have been conditioned to take journalist/advocates reporting as the news, not the advocacy that is , so you see James Woods as some kind of news/ thought leader. .. I could care less than a rats behind what James Woods thinks. I care what Nicholas Wade says, a respected science writer. James Woods retweeting his work and adding his opinion has no bearing on Wades hypothesis, zero. you should really read the very well balanced article, and not worry who brought it to your attention. It’s called intellectual curiosity.
  11. I actually read the article and did not dismiss it cause James Woods tweeted it. You chose to ridicule it based on the messenger. Plain and simple. Speaking of simple...
  12. Hmm, I suppose you prolly like to get all your news from CNN, or such fine publications such as the NYT, Science, or Nature. oh hey, look at the authors bio! More from Nicholas Wade Follow I'm a science writer and have worked on the staff of Nature, Science and, for many years, on the New York Times. nicholaswade@yahoo.com but no, in typical fashion you just to lazy to read detail info, especially in for that could bust your narrative. wallow in your ignorance if you choose, but information and learning from smarter people than you is a really neat thing to do!
  13. Can someone explain to me why the color of skin was mentioned at all in this article? https://www.yahoo.com/news/black-passenger-intervenes-woman-punches-142556176.html
  14. I believe it is categorically true, but even if not the amount of kids that have died from Covid is much less than the flu every year. So if we gunna wear masks for Covid, may as well wear them every year October -April
  15. Not 1 child, and I mean not one, has died from Covid unless they were severally sick with something else before contracting Covid. Hate to see these kids continue in masks when there is no good reason why
  16. This sentence cracks me up. Lets load up on the appearances, not worry about actual transmission! Did you know that if you drink beer and eat a tub of popcorn for an hour, the covid knows you are eating and drinking will not disperse the aerosols into the air for that hour? And after 16 months of being told the most deadly part of this virus is asymptomatic spread, and that the incubation period can be as much as 14 days. glad to know the theater of taking temps makes some dolts somehow feel safer.
  17. Why? Been proven in many studies transmission generating from kids in schools is next to non existent. Transmission occurs between adult staff..both teachers and non teachers. https://www.npr.org/2021/05/21/999106426/schools-are-dropping-mask-requirements-but-new-cdc-study-suggests-they-shouldnt If you believe masks work, teachers and staff that are non vaccinated maybe an argument could be made to wear masks? Is it not about the science after all ?
  18. who said anything about adults being present?
  19. It was by far the biggest factor. No slavery, no Missouri Compromise, no worry about states rights, no two Kansas governments, no John Brown ...it all comes back to slavery. Having said that, Lincoln was an avowed racist that did not fight the Civil War to abolish slavery, he fought it to preserve the union. His position evolved from colonization of enslaved people to Liberia to slowly let slavery die out over a 40 year period to Emancipation of Slaves as more manpower was needed to win the war.
  20. Trust me, you will regret saying you want to meet both @Heitz and @Augie, I am the rose between two thorns with those two present. I cant wait to see @Augie's wife face when he tells her she needs to be up at 5 AM to get to lot by 6am...and yes BTW dear, with traffic we would never attempt to leave that lot before 6PM..so get ready for a full day!!!!!!!... Damn, to be a fly on the wall when that info drops!
  21. man,you best be knocking off those daily lunches out and revert to homemade tuna on white...tickets gunna be expensive. Lowest price in 135, where i sit, is 505 + fees right now!!!!
  22. a guy who was not an expert listening to a fraud who claimed he was ..that was Trumps big mistake
  23. Guess that’s the same as 60k deaths?https://www.npr.org/2020/04/09/830664814/fauci-says-u-s-coronavirus-deaths-may-be-more-like-60-000-antibody-tests-on-way
  24. Lets see no one needs masks everyone needs a mask 60-80k deaths herd immunity about 60% vax no70-80% no 90% I don’t really think we should think in terms of herd immunity mask after being vaxed essential, not theatre i wore a mask after being vaxed for show. This dude is a total joke.
  25. man, sure am glad the relief funding to help working people through Covid was successful. I mean that last $ 1.9t was crucial. Can’t wait to see how another $4t injected in will help this poor class of people!
