  1. I will be open to listening to the opinions of people born after 1985 and not instantaneously file them under "Millennial Nonsense"
  2. damn, that makes for a long ass night! Starting in on the wine at 5PM..thats 7 hours of drinking. Just made our reservations for 9:30...i should be great company tonight if the Bills pull a 2004
  3. I say no..Bills lose to Fish
  4. If they are over 80..sure!!! 5 PM DINNER on New Years Eve???
  5. I am actually okay with the 4:25 start time. Nice trip to the farmers market, brunch, head to the bar to watch game, then home and make dinner for the wifey poo. 1PM game means too much booze and burnt toast!
  6. awesome, thank you! weird, 3 Bills bars within a mile or so of each other..Grand Central and Exiles are like 3 blocks apart.
  7. Thanks guys..Laughing Man closed a good bit ago. Met the owner at Exiles as well and seems like a great guy. My only worries there are the other games.
  8. In DC for the Holiday, so need to head out and watch the 4 o'clock games, as can only get one game at my place here. Exiles and Grand Central both walking distance..anybody have experience at either? More worried they have enough TV's and feeds for the other 3 games. Any other recommendations in the District? And yes I know Jimmy's is great, but it is also 45 minutes from the District so that's out. Appreciate the help!!!
  9. Need to draft this boy now as well
  10. Did not see any fights, only the one outside. And lots of drunks from both fan bases. We were in Jim Kelly club( but spent prolly half the game upper deck) and they pretty much ran out of beer. So it was onto the booze for a lot of people. Not good. News this morning said Canadians were chanting “ we have health care” leaving the game, have to give credit where credit is due, that’s pretty dang gone funny
  11. All Canadians chanting “ Slovakia, Slovakia, haha you lost to Slovakia”. Didn’t hear the same chant on way out. Don’t know why.
  12. Woohoo! Even saw a good 100 hundred drunk Canadians get tossed ! and damn, epic fight in the bus lot after the game, Canadians took it on the chin in that one too’
  13. Headed to the lots now! Sorry Hammer, boys want to park at ECC as a few have to make sure they get to work after game. Just heard all all lanes of QEW closed near Fort Erie. Good, less knuckleheads there?
  14. That’s good, but they Canadians so talk slow, and plan on repeating 3 times till they understand! heading to the stadium now, should be plenty of brilliant Canadians in the lots by now
  15. Better than needing a dose of Penicillan after a weekend in that finest city of debauchery!
  16. Small crowd, all good natured and having fun, even the Slovak fans I think/hope felt welcome. I would guess 20 people in lower bowl ( I was one of few in upper deck and can see everything)with Canada jerseys on,,, many drunk, belligerent , offensive to the entire crowd. Many having to be thrown out after offensive gestures after Slovak goals. I am no puritan, but to offend another country whist you are in that country , not a good look.
  17. Man, sometimes I really wonder how Canadians can look down their nose at “ ugly Americans”. What an embarrassment of Canadian fans at the game tonight.
  18. gotcha, never bothers me..maybe I am just a lot older and that was a staple of game day that I used a lot, and still do. May also be I am an urban dude, and people asking me for money, food etc just never bothers me. Funny story, in the 2012-2013 lockout year, son and i went to the Caps-Sabres game. Tickets were nuts as all the pent up demand and this was the 3rd game back. Told him unless we got reasonable seats, we were not going in. He was embarrassed as hell by me walking around the exterior block around the Verizon center asking "whos got extras". He just wanted to go home and forget the game and forget I was his Dad. Long story, after an hour and no luck, guy tugged on my shirt and asked if we were going to use the tickets..and I was like 100% . He GAVE us two club seats, absolutely free and said he loved seeing a son and father together and looking for tickets the old fashioned way, especially in DC, as he and his dad used to scalp as well!!! Son loves to scalp now, finds it a challenge! Have plenty of other stories about being ale to afford going to games that otherwise could not, and see the pros performing a valuable service.
  19. Jay, 100% our crew is in on the Green ay game. So a good 12 of us, you are welcome to join. PLans and transportation locked and loaded night of schedule release. My only fear is hotel rooms, as we have not investigated airbnbs yet. Have a few months to figure that out. I am too lazy to reserve rooms all 17 weeks to just cancel 16 of them later. will send ya PMs as we get closer to schedule release if ya want to join us
  20. why do you call people who scalp sleazebags? I grew up scalping, liked it way better than the fee-driven craziness we have today. The pros in front of the Aud and Rich provided a much-needed service, and as a broke tennager in the 70's and 80's, I very much appreciated being to get cheap seats last minute before a game.
  21. Anybody een to any games yet? Hading down this afternoon and tonight and was hoping to scalp tickets for each game. My fear is SO FEW tickets were even sold, may be no one down there selling. Very few tickets on stubhub for tonights game.
  22. Dude, you bailing on the tailgate tomorrow??? We have stromboli as the featured item before we head in!
  23. I say no ney never, no ney never no more! Never in all my working days did i receive an unexpected bonus.
  24. man, have you seen the prices? They want $100 for a first round robin tournament game for either USA or Canada! Crazy. They way overestimated demand, these tickets should be $25 max, upper decks $8-12. You paying $100 to see the first game of the trny?? I know for sure i ain't!!
