ho yes we did! and it's far from over!! at least the USA creates about 200,000 jobs a month so that can help the integration of those immigrants, while France does not create any jobs for years...
Just a question Kegtarp or whatever your screename is. Imagine you're president of the USA. and your administration is trying to pass a new act. The unions don't like it and about 15-20 millions (this is the proportion of frenchmen that were in the streets) americans are protesting in the streets twice a week;. All universities are on strike, the public transportation systems are down. the protesters are a little more numerous each time and there's big security issues. How long do you hold on? the french governement hold on for more than 2 months...
yes it's even more accurate than most articles in the french media!
the unemployement situation main root is the sluggish economy but an other obvious cause is the lack of flexibility of the work contracts in the french labor code. It's almost impossible to fire someone if your company is not in dire straits, the cost of labor is very important because of the social charges (while the salaries are low compared with our neighbors ) so lot of bosses prefer to keep their staff at the minimum acceptable level even if that means paying extra hours or having costly but flexible people with interim contracts...
for the ones actually interested by the news in France a well written story that avoids the usual clichés...

not really! i hate the mediterranean coast, it has been overbuilt and it's overcrowded most of the time. i don't like too much the locals there either (lot of old people voting for the National front fascists...) i live on the atlantic coast.
Monaco is like a ghetto for the rich and famous. Cannes is a yearlong circus... it's maybe even worse than Paris to live there!
i don't need a plane i can WALK to Spain in about 1 hour from my house! it could be useful knowing who could be ruling this country after next year's elections!!
that's right, media manipulation!!!
frenchmen were on the streets yesterday to celebrate the incredible years of Joachim Noah, Tony Parker, Boris Diaw and Cristobal Huet! frenchmen kicking butts all over the american sport scene!
Quote: "Under this theory (that championship means your good) Big Ben is a better Qb then Peyton Manning."
well Big Ben does not choke when it matters the most... it's a good start to be a good NFL QB...
i don't know much about JP (Tulane and Bills games are not broadcasted often around here) but what you say about Young is ridiculous... i'll never understand how people can rate QBs with their "mechanics" or what is negative in the fact that a QB is a good passer AND a good runner... as long as a qb is effective and actually wins games he can throw with his feet walking on his hands he's good for me!
eu... looks like this one has not even the 9 bucks to buy his pack... i understand after a while it gets on your nerves but it looks like you have past the boiling point!! what about using your hand?!!
8.99 dollars for a 12 pack!! that's awfully expensive!! at least 3 times the price it costs here!
now i know where that anger comes from, the root of that hawkish american attitude, that need to show its power to the rest of the world... when it costs that much to make love you don't do it as often as you should!!
they use to say "if you have no money to pay for hobbies and leisure activities at least sex is free..." well not anymore in Misery, euh sorry Missouri...
if the mistrial is official he will get a prison for life sentence. He'll just avoid the death penalty so (and it was not sure he'd have get it as the federal court has not used the death penalty for decades)
