Forget about consistent, he is not durable. There were questions going into the 07 draft ab out his durability issues. I really believe had he been relatively injury free in college, he would have been a top three pick.
He did go at the 7th pick - Not a big drop from #3.
-
Could we have had both Peterson and Poz?
Doooooohhhhhhhh...
Nope - Peterson went #7 - Lynch #11
-
Quit adding facts to my posts!!
I forgot about that. It was really stupid of Minnesota, that had nothing to play for, to keep him in there.
Sorry!! Also agree, not sure why he played.
-
Peterson had 4 games under 50 yards. Peterson averaged 3.4 yards per rush in his last three games.
Lynch had zero games under 50 yards. Lynch averaged 4.2 yards per rush in his last three games.
When Peterson is hot he's REALLY hot. But when he's not he's REALLY not. Lynch got better as the year went on. Peterson got worse.
It's not as easy a comparison as some of you think.
Peterson is going to have horrendous year this year too. He jinxed himself by saying the dreaded words 2,000 yard season. Every time a RB says that he has a horrible year.
Peterson played with a torn ligament in his knee at the end of the year.

what did Clayton say that bothers everyone? Ralph is not a hero and his senility could cause this team to leave. Why will Ralph not put a contingency plan in place for this team to stay in Buffalo. He is greedy! Why is the stadium named after him and not a company willing to pay for it? He has a huge ego. Buffalo Bills fans are ultra sensitive. Clayton has been a fair journalist at ESPN, unlike Chris Mortenson (who is a Tom Donahoe appoligist.)
Give John a break, he has been picked on all his life!
Ralph is NOT senile. I can't stand it when people pick on others because they are old. I'm sure you will upgrade to a double-wide when you retire. You wish you had 1/2 of his brains at his age. How much money do you think one of the many Fortune 500 companies in Buffalo will pay for naming rights? Also, Erie County decided to name the stadium after Wilson.

Nothing, I have been told that there is no problem, and no incident, he did nothing wrong and this is a non issue, believing anything else makes you a moron and an idiot who "assumes" things
I originally said that he should probably be looking into some counsiling on anger management if this is true because pulling a gun (which theres no proof he ever did) on anyone unless its a life or death situation and the other person has a weapon is not something civilized people do in an arguement. But I have been shown the error of my ways by the upper echelon members of this board that my views were wrong because there never was an incident and nothing needs to be done.
Isn't it up to him to get counseling? Since he is not under contract can the Bills force him to?
-
Why? apparently he has no character issues that would require any type of worry for the Bills.
What do you think the Bills should do? Not trying to be a smart ass, but what should they do with Hardy?

He could lick his eyebrows.
I don't remember that episode!!

You are giving away your age.
Hey man, how freaking hot was Liz Montgomery in that show? Even as a little kid I thought she was smokin'!!!
VERY Hot!! What the hell did she see in Derwood??

From Peter King's article:According to NFL playing-time documents, the average third corner in the league played 57 percent of his team's defensive snaps last year.
I had no idea it was that high. Not only that, we play in a division with the Patriots. Any discussion regarding our need for more than two starting corners is now dead. 57% of snaps for what used to be called a dime corner? Wow. I'm surprised. We might as well be discussing whether or not we need 3 starting LBs.

Most fans realize the need for 3 good corners. The term for the 3rd CB is nickel, not dime.

Kelsay contributes a lot to this team. If you can't take another season of Kelsay- are you suggesting we cut him? What are the alternatives? Or do you just like to B word and moan?
The alternatives are Denney and Ellis. Bash me too but I don't think Kelsay is anything special.

To answer the thread title.....Yes, it is!!
-
He'll get a job in camp when someone gets hurt.
-
Kirby Jackson was a very solid corner who just got the job done- not a pro bowler or anything like that.
Carwell Gardner and Nate Turner were decent fullbacks and very good special teamers
Yonel Jourdaine seemed to have a ton of potential before the knee injury
Marlo Perry was an excellent cover line backer before Benji Olsen intentionally ended his career with a dirty hit
Ken Irvin and Marlon Kerner did an amazing job at corner as rookies in 1995
David White played very well in 1995 at OLB as well
Injuries ruined Kerner's career. Thought he was going to be very good.
-
Jonathan Linton. He was to be the starting RB for this team.
Corey Moore - He was projected as the next Bruce Smith by many ....He even came from the same school as the greatest DE of this team...
Gabe Northern - Great punt return against the Eagles.
It was a blocked punt.

I think he was being sarcastic.
I know.

My completely uninformed take:
1 -- Despite an increase in per-game ticket price a season ticket is probably CHEAPER this year because it is for two fewer games (the ones being played in 'ronto); and
2 -- The last two seasons and recent transactions (FA pickups, trade for Stroud, draft) have renewed locals' faith that the team is on the right track.
Even without ten starting-quality offensive linemen on the roster, I believe most folks think a 10 win season is attainable.
And yes, the Bills have the best fans in the NFL.
Not sure what this means. No team has this.

He did - in a roundabout way - perform a public service.
The young gal that accused him of raping her got charged and convicted of false charges. While she was in the clink, the Cincy police dug a little deeper and got evidence that she murdered one of her johns. She got convicted and sent up for life.
Wow! Did not know that.

In an ESPN article he said he would ove to play for anyone who is interested. He sayed he would love to play in New Orleans or Dallas. Henry believes he can be a productive player for someone next season. The 6-foot-4 receiver has shown good ability as a third target in Cincinnati. During last year's eight-game suspension, the Bengals were 2-6 without Henry and 5-3 with him in the lineup. In three seasons, he recorded 88 career receptions for 1,370 yards and 17 touchdowns.
Of course he is willing play for anyone!!! No one wants him!

Just a quick observation. I don't think they keep 4 TE's and Barnes beats out Viti for FB. Also think they keep 6 WR's - One for gunner position on ST

Tell me when DB's can pass protect for a QB in the pocket. Tell me when they run block to give your RB a chance to get more than 4 ypc. Please.
San Francisco paid a king's ransom for their secondary (Clements, Michael Lewis, et al) and still their team is poor. Part of it is related to QB play, and part is due to a lackluster OL they've only recently began to address.
My reasoning for DJ being the deciding factor in picks? How about he's a former NFL DB? How about Day 1 in 2006? With extreme weaknesses on OL and DL, they take 3 DB's in their first 4 picks. Predominantly in rounds 1-3, Buffalo's taken a host of defensive players. Think that's not related to the HC? I do. Especially considering that 6 of their 9 picks in rounds 1-3 the past three drafts have been defenders. And that's considering they already had Schobel, Kelsay, McGee, Crowell, and signed Stround, Mitchell, S. Johnson, and Tripplett. Yes, DJ is the decider at OBD on draft day.
So by your reasoning, we need a former O-Linemen as HC?
Nice turnout at the OTAs!

These are mandatory practices. Players are required to be there, aren't they?
