  1. I know we hate the Pats* but when a player goes down and gets hurt, it should not be cheered. Brady himself is not a dirty player. Now, if this were Wilfork, maybe I get it.

So many of you here have KILLED Philadelphia fans for cheering for Michael Irvin when he got hurt in Philly and trash their fans all the time, don't be one of those now.

If Brady does have a torn ACL, I'm sure any of you that have suffered that kind of injury are not celebrating....

Give me a break. Yes, I will be very happy if Brady is done for the year.

  2. so we're up 20-7 on a playoff team, in horrid weather, and our defense reminds me of the 85 bears, lynch has about 60 yards, td and a few catches, AND our playcalling has been phenominal, yet we're still complaining about edwards? Folks, hasselbeck is a damn good QB and he's sucking pretty bad too. the weather is bad, but the bills aren't. this is a great team we've got here.

You forget...Buffalo fans are not happy if they can not complain about something. If we win someone here will still not be happy.

  3. I've been kind of wondering this...

Seattle has a pretty mean pass rush, led by left DE Patrick Kerney, who was second in the NFL last year in sacks with 14.5. But he will be lined up across from Kirk Chambers. Langston Walker will be playing across from Seattle's right DE, rookie Lawrence Jackson.

Wouldn't it make more sense to play Walker, the more experienced tackle, at his more comfortable position of RT, against their best DE -- particularly since he'll be moving back to that position again either next week or the week after? Is Chambers so bad on the left side that he would be more of a liability against a rookie DE than against the league's second-leading sacker?

I have a feeling that, if Chambers struggles against Kerney, we might see them move Walker back to his natural RT spot and see if Chambers can handle the rookie.

Am I way off base here?

Because it is not a good idea to change O-Line positions on a game to game basis.

  4. Why would the network feeds make a difference in getting the Sunday Ticket on cable? Why couldn't cable do the same thing - just get the feeds? That's what they're doing with MLB Extra Innings, NHL Center Ice, ESPN Gameplan...

You're right. I'm an idiot. However, I think DirecTV will pay the NFL anything they want to keep it exclusive to satellite. DirecTV has customers just because of the NFL.

  5. The Bills are losing in Jacksonville next week.

They have a very, very, winnable game this week- one that they should win, in fact.

How stupid do you have to be to applaud the front office for this before anything is seen on the field? If the Bills lose this game by 3 points, is there anybody out there that won't wonder what would have happened with a healthy and fit Peters on the field?

If Seattle wins, Buffalo starts 0-2. They'll pull off their usual run in October-November, get to their 7 wins, and that'll be it.

The fact is, while almost all of us think this team is capable of being a playoff contender, a good start (say, 3-2 or 4-1) is crucial for them. When you start the season expecting to win 10 games, and only 12 or 13 of the games on the schedule are winnable in the first place, and possibly lose one because your best player sits out even though he's healthy, it's not a medal of honor for the front office.

If they can beat Seattle, then win one or both of the games in St. Louis/Arizona, they'll look smart for the way they handled Peters. If they start 0-2, they won't make the playoffs. It's too early to applaud them for having their best player watching the game in street clothes on Sunday.

If Seattle kicks a FG at the end of the game and the Bills lose by 3, are you saying Peters is the reason?

  6. yeah ok...if you think his holdout will effect his standing in that locker room, I think your kiddin yourself. Its a business and Peters played the only cards he had. Every player wants "HIS". If Jason's remaining 3 years are reworked in the next couple of weeks then he wins big. No veteran player on that team is gonna give a chit about some scrub gettin axed to make room for thier probowl LTs return.

Actually, I bet the locker room is a bit relieved and happier now.

  7. I thought there was some change to the rules that you had heard about. If he's on the roster, regardless of whether he's activated or not, he gets paid. And as a vested veteran (4 or more accrued years in the NFL), if he's on an opening day roster, his entire salary for the year is guaranteed.

Ok - thanks. Do the Bills have to take him off the the did not report list immediately and put him on the roster? If so, someone will be cut tomorrow.
