1. Hey, dumba$$, didn't you realize that you are whining when you whine about the whiners? Go clean your room or do your special ed homework or something.
2. What about William James?? Not as straight forward when you forget about him. That's why Corner was more a luxury pick than anything. And if you think that Greer is going to start over McKelvin when opening day rolls around, you must be smoking something good. If that turns out to be the case, this draft really would be a total farce.
3. Okay, been getting ripped on here anyway, even when I try to take a middle of the road approach. SO, flame and rip away, but this draft sucks in terms of POSITIONS they targeted. Nobody has a crystal ball to know how the actual players themselves will turn out, but the positions they've gone after are more than curious. Flame away, rip away, run me out of here on a rail, burn me at the stake, or what ever . . . but many will agree with me to some degree.
4. You're a complete idiot, aren't you? People around you, family, friends, co-workers (if you have a job) think you're a jerk, I'm sure. Do you ever mention the Bills, I mean the actual football team in your posts? Or do you just get on here looking to see what poster you can take a pot shot at? It is beyond ridiculous.
5. Okay, I'll step out on the ledge. . . Just my own personal grades about the way I felt about the picks and the positions targeted: 1) McKelvin - (B) I was hoping for a trade down and picking up another high pick (2nd or 3rd) and say Cromartie. Also, I don't like the reports that he drops interceptions. Also, I was hoping to avoid a CB in the 1st, if possible. But, I guess a "B" 2) Hardy - ( Have always eventually wanted Limas Sweed as a Bill, even two years ago! But, I guess because we got him at #41, I'll give him a "B-" Have to admit that I was more disappointed yesterday, but have realized: Sometimes a guy that excelled at a lesser program (Indiana) may be better than a guy that excelled at a great program (Texas) because, obviously Sweed had more talent around him helping out than Hardy did. 3) Chris Ellis - (B+) I really liked that we at least drafted a DE who is known as a good pass rusher. It is the position I wanted them to draft here. Whether the player himself is the answer, only time will tell. Relieved he isn't another high-motor white guy too! I was happy enough to say (B+) 4) R. Corner - (F) He may be a good player someday, but I hated the position that we selected. Just my personal opinion, but I was ready to puke when I saw they'd gone CB again this high. So, puke = (F). However, the talking heads just talked Corner up a ton, so I'm feeling better now. 4.) D. Fine - (C+) I liked that they took a TE, but from what I've read, don't know how much help he'll be. Again, these grades are just how happy I was . . . on a scale of A-F
6. I agree mostly with the original poster's feelings. However, I've learned that posting with that kind of tone will get you mob-lynched (or is it lynch-mobbed??) and burnt at the stake around here. However, truth be told, I'm disappointed overall with what's happened.
7. Notice I'm asking a question and not including my own opinion. Don't want to get my head ripped off around here . . .
8. I wouldn't exactly call Whitner a stud yet. I've been disappointed by his impact vs. what impact you'd hope for from the # 8 pick in the draft.
9. A good secondary will help the pass rush? You've got that backwards. A good pass rush will help the secondary.
10. Youbouty needs a replacement? If our most pressing needs were that we needed to replace our 4th-5th corner, I'd be a happy man. Our offense has almost been completely ignored this offseason.
11. I NEVER said that corners weren't important. I was just telling you what the people who were trying to downplay Clements leaving were saying. However, two corners this high, with William James signed, seems like a bit of overkill. What about some O-Line depth? a TE? a FB?
12. What about our other needs? I think you'll find yourself in the vast minority if you liked that last pick.
13. Trey Wingo on ESPN just said when referring to the Reggie Corner pick, "Boy, Buffalo really likes to draft corners and safties" with a bit of a sarcastic tone. Then I think Cris Carter said "They sure do" . Wow, if even these talking heads are noticing this troubling trend, it must really be obvious.
14. Huh? Brady goes down? Drafting another CB? Brady lost to the Giants because of their tremendous pressure on him. Not because the Giants had the best secondary.
15. I too am mystified by this pick. For a team running a cover-2, and for all the talk that letting Clements go was okay because the cover-2 protects CBs or "you don't need corners with the cover-2", we sure as heck are now spending alot of resources on corners: McKelvin, R.Corner, and William James too. Not to mention, Greer did pretty well last year. I don't get this, really. Dick is obsessed with the secondary is all I can think. Bad news for us fans, I believe, as the lines are where the game of football is really won.
16. Sounds like you do not really like the McKelvin pick. Do you?
17. Did you catch that Mort said he asked Teflon Tom's opinion on draft picks? He's butt buddies with Teflon Tom, and is angry that his friend got his ass canned by us.
18. I thought Greer was a pleasant surprise too. He'll be a very solid nickel corner this year.
19. Yes. His hands are like Winfield's, the scouts say. Even Jauron addressed it saying that if McKelvin actually caught the ball, "it would be a bonus".
20. I'm hoping he is one of our 3rd down DEs on the field THIS year. Anyone think he'll be that? Maybe by mid-season? We need the pass rush out of DEs and he may help this year with that.
21. I agree. But, McKelvin is widely considered much better in coverage than Winfield. Winfield is only slightly above average in that category. Anyone notice Minnesota's pass D last year? Wasn't it last or 31st?
22. I really like this pick too. See, I don't dislike every pick, like you wrote earlier. Two reasons I like it: Pass-rushing ability . . . and he's not white!!!
23. Yes, this is what I'm afraid of. Anyone remember McGee last year against Denver on opening day drop what would have been the game-winning interception?
24. Yes, I noticed that. Almost lost my lunch there for a minute.
