  1. You're probably "hoping" that this thing was blown out of proportion more than really believe it. My thoughts are that while no charges were filed, the fact that this story has surfaced cannot be good news for Hardy's future. The fact that he was even in this position is very possibly signs of things to come.
  2. For the record, I always wanted Sweed more than Malcolm Kelly, James Hardy or any other WR in the draft. The fact that he was high character (from what we heard) was a bonus. I get the feeling that in a few years, when he's a very good WR for the Steelers, we are all going to wonder why we passed on him for a guy that'll be out of the league and behind bars. I'm hoping that I'm wrong, but my head is telling me that these odds are not in our favor.
  3. I know that there has been alot of "discussion" about our draft going back and forth that has gotten pretty "sporty" shall we say. But, there are some things we should be optimistic about: Chris Ellis, by many accounts, is a bit raw and undisiplined, but could well develop into a good pass rusher, which we all covet, needless to say. Steve Johnson could be a steal. His "measurables" are those of a much higher-rated type of guy. And he was very productive last year. Reggie Corner may develop into a very good nickel corner. He's probably too small to start, but may have what it takes to blanket slot WRs.
  4. Uhhgg, leave it to you to go back to this stuff. We had almost come to a point of agree to disagree, then you go stir the pot yet again.
  5. Yes, nobody but God knows at this point. Unless there is a Nostradamus among us. But, I do know that I'd have felt better without taking a 3rd CB and an RB, while virtually ignoring the OLine, DT and FB.
  6. Oh, you're just not getting it are you? I'm saying that they easily could have selected similarly rated players at positions that they are thinner.
  7. Again, for the umpteenth time, you are missing the point that Lurker made in this thread. The positions of the players selected is the concern. It is unknown, without a crystal ball, to know how the individuals we did select will turn out.
  8. Hey, like you said, our OC said we'd use a traditional FB. Also, Stroud at DT is coming off an injury and is getting up there in age. McCargo appears to be coming on, but that is far from a sure thing. We also haven't seen how Spencer Johnson fits. By no means is DT as settled as RB. Also, I would have been much more at ease if we hadn't waited until the 7th to add another decent WR prospect.
  9. Absolutely. In fact, wouldn't have minded one of our 4ths was spent on another WR.
  10. No, I said DT and FB instead of the Rb and 3rd CB picks.
  11. Actually, I had never heard of the RB we took, as I'm certain most here did not. My main point is that I'd have liked them to select a roughly equal-rated player at a position that we were a little thinner. That goes for the pick that we took a third corner as well. How about DT and FB with those?
  12. For once, we agree on something. Johnson could be a steal. Definitely good value where we got him vs. where pre-draft literature said he'd go.
  13. You agree with 3 CBs despite William James signed as FA and our 1st was spent on one? And another RB despite Lynch, Jackson, Wright already here? What about no other WR until the 7th?
  14. I agree with all your points. Perfect sense on a board where that is severely lacking.
  15. What about your football opinion? Haven't seen anything on this draft class.
  16. "adding to the post count" ?? You must be kidding. Yeah, my goal is really to become a Hall of Famer like you, which shows no existence of an actual life.
  17. You didn't see how this got started last night, so I forgive you.
  18. Oh no, you little tard. I don't need help to take care of your dumbass little comments.
  19. You mean every time you look in a mirror?
  20. Seek professional attention. You seriously need help. I almost feel sorry for you.
  21. Gotta love it. Now the attitude is "Oh, well, it was just a 7th rounder." You are a piece of work.
  22. Yeah, like there wasn't another equally rated player at another position? Get a clue guy. And SEVENTH ROUND? You mean they don't count?
  23. Your optimism is amazing. Are you for real? You like the 3rd CB pick?
  24. Any other position would have been fine. But a 3rd CB? Please.
