Willis would go for two grand in Denver, just like Terrell Davis!

Willis will be better than Tomlinson
BenchBledsoe replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, forgot to mention. . . Willis is bigger and stronger than LT. He'll be an LT with more power. Kind of a cross between LT and Jamal Lewis. Shiftier and more nimble than JL though. -
Next season, when he is another year removed from the knee injury, Willis will be better than LT. He is already close to that level. Anyone notice how Edgerrin (another year removed from his knee injury) has gotten his burst back? The same will happen with Willis. In 2 years, Willis will be the best NFL runningback AND the best fantasy back as MM loves to pound the ball near the goalline. Remember, Willis is a guy that was up for the Heismann and considered a top 3 pick (by Houston) until his knee went backwards. He DOES have the natural ability to be the best RB in football in 2 years. "benchbledsoe" has spoken. . . say, that's kinda fun Mr. blackbear!

Top Free Agent available

Mike Williams, by all accounts is just now starting to play well. I was in favor of drafting Dallas S Roy Williams at the time. The best bet would have been to drop down about 10-15 picks, picked up another 2nd, and taken Ed Reed. I loved Ed at Miami. If anyone saw him play against Nebraska in the Rose Bowl, they knew he was a playmaker in the secondary. Can you imagine our D with Ed Reed at free and Milloy at strong??? Hindsight is 20/20. But I agree to some degree, TD's "foresight" has been questionable. -
Bills should be 7-3.

I agee that we should put JP in. . . but they probably won't until we've lost our 8th game. Hopefully, that time will never come. (I am realistic enough to realize it all but certainly will). -
Is everyone certain JP starts 2005?

I'm not saying Seattle is world beaters. . . clearly they might not even make the playoffs if they were in the AFC. But, you're talking about a Bills team that is frightful on the road. Did we or did we not lose at Oakland? Bills on the West coast, on grass, versus an above .500 team? Drew's more likely to produce that egg at midfield than us win. -
Did You Guys Catch Mike "Fartz"

Be careful what I say? Do you think we're playing them again any time soon? -
Who do you feel is winning tonights game...
BenchBledsoe replied to njsue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Pats will pull it out, like they always do. The Chiefs will come out to play, but . . . the Chiefs will not be able to stop the Pats from going up and down the field all night long. The Chiefs will score quite a bit too. But, if it came down to who could make a big defensive stop late in the game, do you think the Pats or Chiefs defense is more likely to do it? Right, the Pats. . . that's why they'll pull it out. -
Just wondering who saw the Mike Fartz press conf. today on the NFL Network. That clown said it was his first sleepless night in his coaching career at any level. He seemed to have that Jimmy Johnson "They beat the hell out of us today" mind set. The pig did back off his comments yesterday that the Bills were taking intentional cheap shots, after he reviewed the film. Maybe he should have reserved comment yesterday, until after seeing the film. He droned on to say that "there are going to definitely be changes, as we just aren't getting it done. . . some of the young guys around here think they're on scholarship or something. . . " I think owner Georgia Frontiere probably agrees there should be some changes. She'll probably start by lopping off the biggest cancer. . . her head coach. Minutes later, Mike Mularkey was on live. He said that he didn't know why Fartz made those type of comments. He didn't even want to hazard a guess. He even chuckled at them. . . as if to imply they were absurd.

This will all be moot as soon as DB lays an egg in Seattle. And I mean it. Against a good team, on the road, DB is more likely to squat at midfield and produce a shiny white egg than to lead us to a win. -
Agreed. We cannot continue with Lindell next year. His kickoffs that come down at the 15-20 yd line are laughable. The coaching staff's hesitancy to let him attempt longer field goals speaks volumes. Hopefully, we address the kicker postion in the off season as it is clearly a big weakness.

Unfortunately, I think Dallas found their runningback today: Julius Jones. . . he JUST came off a long injury and still carried 30 times for 81 yards AT BALTIMORE with them losing by a ton! Parcells is high on the kid, from all reports. Thusly, I don't think they'll muddy up the situation and will not trade for Travis.

Just a few years ago, our special teams were the worst I had ever seen for any team. Now, I can say that I have NEVER seen so many good returns from one team in the same season. McGee, Freddie, Clements. . . all doing a great job. Can Bobby April really be this good? Even our coverage seems good. I think the poor choices of special team coaches began the slide of GW out of town. Truly, our special teams have gone from worst to first. MM, I think realized much more than GW, how important special teams really are.

Mike Martz takes a shot at Bills
BenchBledsoe replied to WillisMcThrillis's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What is Holt complaining about? Nate tackled him low. Big deal. I live in Denver. Has anybody taken a look at what the Broncos O-line does to people? Give me a break. Martz is gone after his underachieving team either misses the playoffs or backs into them in the crappy NFC and goes one and out. The guy is an idiot. He is the complete opposite of a class act like Vermeil. -
I've heard that Priest Holmes is very doubtful for Monday Night. However, I have yet to see him ruled "OUT". I have Derrick Blaylock, but do not want to start him unless Priest is absolutely out. Can anyone confirm?

I Hate Boston and It's Teams
BenchBledsoe replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
10 years ago and 1999? I can't even bring those things up. He'll have a selective memory about those things. They'd carry about as much weight as if I told him that Joe Ferguson's Bills beat Steve Grogan's Patriots in a big game in 1978. -
I Hate Boston and It's Teams
BenchBledsoe replied to BenchBledsoe's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, I forgot to mention the worst part with my boss. . . he chuckles at the play of the "Trojan Horse" his Pats sent us. What's really gross is that he continually asks, "Don't you guys have anything better?" I just mumble that our 1st rounder has been hurt and close my office door. . . -
I am in a horrid position. My boss at work is an ex-Bostonian. He is a huge sports fan, and always bitches if one little thing goes wrong with the Boston teams. With his teams recent successes, he's getting cocky. He now is "expecting" championships continually. It is getting disgusting. In the last few years I've had to endure: 1) Pats upsetting big favorite Rams in SB 2) His pulling for Ray Borque to win the cup "for ALL the Bruins" with AVs 3) Bruins getting the best of the Sabres 4) Pats beating up on Bills most games 5) Pats beating Panthers in SB 6) Red Sox beating Yankees, then winning World Series. (He was so giddy after this, I got queasy) 7) Pats sweeping Bills this year Heck, even Boston College is doing too well in football for my liking. I will NOT be able to stomach another Patriot Championship. It would be unbearable (3 out of 4 years?) Please, somebody stop it from happening. I beg for Pittsburgh to have home field throughout. If the road to the SB runs through New England again, it's as good as a done deal. I am sold that Philly would lose to NEngland in the SB.

About the only thing EM and TO do have in common is age. You don't see any decline in EM? Look at his average per catch and run after catch numbers. They are clearly down. -
Yep. I see her every time I go to the local mall (big poster in front window of Victoria's Secret Hey what about Anna Kornikova? Also, there is some gorgeous 17 yr old Russian tennis phenom. What is her name again?

I agree with that. . .

I forgot about the Bush girls. Good call. However, I still can't come to realize that Natalie's all grown up. I still remember her at about 12 yrs old in "The Professional." Anyone remember that movie?
