  1. Ut Oh. . . the Jets look pretty good tonight. We'll definitely have to play our best to beat them. I'll stick with my prediction that we win, but it'll be close.
  2. Travis McGahee???????? Do you mean Willis McGahee? Mr. Defense, this response, along with your high touting of Travis over Willis on that other ridiculous post makes me believe you don't have a clue. You must be one of a very small minority that says we would be better off with Peerless than Willis. Do you even watch the games? Heck, Lee Evans is going to be better than Peerless by next year. Have you taken a look at Peerless' numbers in Atlanta? They're dreadful. I'm betting they make him take a pay cut soon, or he'll get cut. His production vs. salary is completely out of whack. I'd like to ask the opinions of this board: Who agrees with me? And who agrees with Mr.D. I'm betting 90% of the board agrees with me. Let us know fellow posters.
  3. I have a good gut feeling on this game and those numbers. My gut feelings are usually pretty good (but not always). Let's compare my predictions to the real numbers AFTER the game. Maybe I'll be pretty close.
  4. Yes Peerless is a whiner. But, if you're thinking Travis will be here next year, think again. TH has even commented "10 games to go" in one of his interviews. He is absolutely gone next year, and he knows it. The ONLY way he stays is if Willis has another catastrophic injury before the year ends, and even then it's questionable. At that point, they'd probably trade TH and take a back in rounds 2 or 3.
  5. Okay, here goes. . . The D completely shuts down Emmitt Smith to the tune of about 50 yards. Boldin, Bryant and Fitz have some success, but not a lot. We hold the Cards to 230 total net yards. Willis runs for 100 + yards AND the first rushing TD all year for us and the first given up by Arizona. Travis is truly an afterthought with 4 carries for 13 yards. DB throws only 24 times (14 for 24) for 185 yards with one TD to Moulds and one "tipped ball" interception. Bills win 23-13
  6. Or it could be said he's like The Hulk in that he doesn't really think, and if cornered, he makes a big mess out of everything.
  7. I'm sure those we're great teams, and great times for Buffalo. My point is that I want to witness, with my own two eyes, a championship for the city of Buffalo. Preferably a Super Bowl, but the Stanley Cup would be a decent consolation prize.
  8. I'm not saying JP isn't going to have some growing pains, obviously he is. But, could it really be any worse than what we've been subjected to thus far? Here's a "growing pain" analogy: 1) JP will be like a teenage boy who has hit a growth spurt and his legs hurt. 2) Drew is like a grown man. . . Dr. Bruce Banner. . . who is turning into The Hulk. Which hurts more?
  9. It may have been against scrubs, but he seemed to have full command of the offense, and was very accurate and very elusive as a runner. He had the longest run of the game that night!
  10. The immortal kicker Todd Schlopy. . . who won a 6-3 game at the Ralph against Bill Parcells Giants with an overtime field goal for the scab-Bills in the 1987 strike-ravaged season. Ahhh, the memories. . .
  11. Yeah right. . . and it was part of TD's conspiracy to force Peerless to say out loud that he wanted to go somewhere where he could be the # 1 WR.
  12. I live in the Denver area. . . Looking at your user name I'm guessing you do too, correct? Is there a Denver area Bills Backers bar?
  13. The media has been ripping DB and this team so bad, that I expect them to play with a little bit of fire the next 2 home games. Also, the Jets will be coming off a home Monday Night win vs. the Porpoises. The Jets are a pretty good team, but they are very beatable at home. You guys can rip me good if this prediction isn't correct. But, I want to be able to say I said it first if (when) it happens. My gut feelings are usually pretty good. And oh, by the way, . . . after we get to 3-5 and everyone dares talk about a second half playoff push. . . forget it. We get smoked at New England on a Sunday Night game, which will be Drew's last game as a Buffalo Bills starting QB. . . I feel it in me bones. Let's see how accurate these touts really are.
  14. Maybe true. But, does anyone have preseason stats for JP? We seemed to have a high percentage of scoring drives with him in there. I especially remember watching the Denver game where he was perfect (8 for 8?) before missing a pass. I am usually not optimistic by nature, but the kid gives me the warm fuzzies! Anyone have cumulative preseason stats, including drives he led vs. those ending in scores?
  15. If the Bills lose to Arizona AT HOME, then I give up. That would be the ultimate slap in all Bills fans faces. If it happens, then it is time to clear the bench and see who is worth bringing back next year. That said, I'll say Bills 23 Cards 17
  16. I for one loved the Willis pick. He was a certain #3 overall pick to Houston until his knee went bye-bye. The other pick likely at that point, some will remember, was William Joseph (DT out of Miami, Fla. that is currently struggling for the Giants.) And what about Peerless' horrendous numbers in Atlanta? I thought everone said last year it was because Vick was hurt? What's the excuse now? Peerless is not a top receiver in this league. He has had one good year out of 5 or 6. And now, Willis appears to be the real deal. He is consistently driving for the extra yard. And, Like Edgerrin James, his original burst will come back in time. He has top 3 Heisman candidate talent. Can you imagine how really great this trade will look when Travis is long gone? Peerless Price is simply going to be the answer to a trivia question. . .
  17. Drew Bledsoe. . . in a New England Uniform!!!
  18. You guys must be out of your minds. Last year and this year, Drew has been the single biggest joke in the NFL. He has become so easy for opponenets to defend that it has become a media joke. Tom Jackson of ESPN said before the Pats game, Belicheck with two weeks to prepare for Bledsoe with various blitz packages? I'll take New England to win (laughingly) This team is 2-13 in it's last 15 on the road. They average about 10 pts. per game in that span. Their highest point total this year is 20 pts. The guy is sooooo immobile that he makes a bad O-line look even worse. Remember RJ? He used to have the most sacked/per pass ratio in the league. Then Flutie, behind the same line in the SAME year (sometimes the same game!) had one of the least sacked ratios. I believe that the same kind of thing, to a lesser extent, will happen when JP comes in to play in about 4 weeks.
  19. I mentioned them. I said that they were before I was even born and were in a league that was considered the lesser league as compared to the NFL.
  20. It is a given: God will not allow Buffalo to win the Superbowl. 4 straight losses and Norwood's kick are enought to convince me. The Redsox ended their curse, but I always felt that a city like Boston had a winning tradition behind it's teams. Buffalo? Give me a break. I can't even picture a championship. Neither the Bills or Sabres. They're a combined 0-6 in their last 6 trys for a championship. Sheer odds and law of averages says that at least 1 or 2 of those should have been won by Buffalo. I believe there is something else going on here. And please don't try to bring up the Bills AFL titles in 64 and 65. The AFL was clearly viewed as the lesser league back then, and it was before I was even born. It also was not viewed as the championship, that went to the NFL. I'm talking about the more recent past. And with the sate of the Bills and Sabres, do any of you really see a championship title in the foreseeable future? How about ever? Who else has let the current state of the Buffalo teams get to them like I have? Who agrees and who is still optimistic?
  21. And as many are fond of saying "Drew would be much better if his receivers caught the ball for him once and his O-line protected him better, and if TH blocked for him, and if the gameplan suited him better, and if the play calling was better, and if the fans supported him, and if the running game worked better, and he had a better tight end, and if those darned balls weren't tipped, and if it wasn't so windy at the Ralph, and if the opponents didn't have such gosh darn great defenses, and he's such a stand up family man he should continue as the starter, and the WRs don't make enough plays for him, and he's put up big numbers in the past, and New England made the Superbowl once with him as their starter, and he throws a pretty deep ball, and he was the top pick in the draft, so he must be super duper good, and. . . You guys get the picture? It is comical, when you think about it, how may excuses some fans have made for that hog.
  22. Never have I seen a situation where a durable player is actually a detriment to the team. . . until DB
  23. Yes, when JP is healthy, I agree, start him right away. He needs to get some experience. I just meant in the offseason, cut Bledsoe and make sure everybody knows it's "JP's team" as they say. And actually, Sam is getting outplayed by Ron Edwards lately.
  24. Well, I mentioned move MW to guard and sign 2-3 vet O-lineman. That is pretty much a new O-line.
