  1. Aside from the obvious rooting interests this week, here is one more: We need San Diego to beat Indy. (unlikely, I know. . . it's in Indy) Why? 1) We need Indy to have to play at "full strength" at Denver in week 17. Denver can still knock us out if they win out. . . If Indy loses to San Diego in week 16, they'll still be battling in week 17 for the 3rd vs. 4th seed against the Chargers. The S.D.-K.C. game will be going on at the same time as the Indy-Denver game (4 PM eastern) in week 17, so the Colts would need to win and hope for a Charger loss to get the third seed. 2) If we get in the playoffs (as the 6th seed) we'd rather play at #3 seed San Diego rather than #3 seed Indy!! Go Chargers. We'd have a real shot at San Diego, at Indy? Forget it. Indy is NOT going to lose in the first round at home!
  2. What are the 3 way tiebreakers? 4 way? Who goes if this happens?: Buffalo 10-6, Jets 10-6, Baltimore 10-6, Denver 10-6, Jax 10-6. Also, what possible 3 or 4 way combinations get our red-hot, dangerous asses in the post season?
  3. Houston already beat Jax once. Can they sweep them? In Jax, it isn't likely. . . but it isn't like Houston is Cleveland, they do have a shot. Boy oh boy, if that opening day, last play of the game loss to Jax is what keeps us out of the playoffs, I'm going to go bonkers. . . yes, bonkers. Also, AT Oakland is no guarantee for Jax, although the Raidas might be running for the buses that day. It could be nail biting time come the afternoon games of week 17.
  4. I could not agree more. Favre throws as many ridiculous picks as any QB I have ever seen.
  5. Brett Favre is laying an egg today, just in time to hurt our playoff bid. I've always thought the media-Green Bay lovefest was out of hand. . . now I know it is. That (with Minnesota) has GOT to be the most inconsistent team in the league. I'd love to have our destiny in our own hands come the Steeler game. . . but having to root for the likes of Green Bay is disgusting. I hate having our season's final outcome determined by pigs like those.
  6. Yeah, yeah I did. I think post counts (i.e. time spent on this site) are tangible. The monetary thing is hypothetical. Nuff said.
  7. Yeah, right. . . marginal fan, sure. Whatever. I guess marginal fans actually take the time to post on a teams website. I'll bet I know more about the Bills than you ever will. I see where you've only made 60 posts since May. . . now that's a marginal fan.
  8. Way to egg them on, genius. I forgot how friggin cliquish this board is. Why don't you just tell them when and how to post?
  9. Excuse me, but $5,000 is a decent amount of money. I never said I'd need to live on it for a year. Let's get real folks. This is only a football team that we root for. $5,000 is real money.
  10. Not really what I meant, but your optimism is inspiring. . .
  11. Do you remember Eddie Murphy's classic "My Girl Wants to Party All the Time"? Or better yet, Don Johnson's immortal, "Heart Beat" It went like this (over and over and over) "I'm lookin' for a heart beat. . . heart beat. . . lookin' for a heart beat. . . heart beat" Remember that epic song? Nuff said.
  12. At $9,000 wouldn't you have some mixed feelings? It would be strange rooting AGAINST them, but. . .
  13. I love the Bills. However, in the real world would I take a million dollars to see them lose a Superbowl? YES. Heck, I had to sit through 4 of those and didn't get a red cent for my misery. I'd take a million and hope they won it the next year.
  14. That cannot be true. Say hypothetically, that Bill Gates was going to pay you a certain amount IF the Bills lost the Superbowl. There MUST be a point where you would root against them? A million dollars? Hell, I'd take the million, then hope they got back to the Superbowl the following year. Everyone MUST have a breaking point. You're talking a million dollars (or whatever) vs. a team that you undoubtedly love. . . but are just a fan.
  15. Along the lines of my recent post where I bet $100 on Cincy to win this week. . . so that my pain could be eased if they lose. . . Here's an interesting hypothetical situation: AT WHAT POINT (MONETARILY) WOULD YOU START ROOTING AGAINST THE BILLS? I'll start: 1)This game: $400 (But, I'm more than willing to give up my $100 this week) 2)Playoffs: $1,500 3)AFC Championship: 2,000 and Superbowl. . . hmmm I don't think I could start actually rooting AGAINST them in a Superbowl whole- heartedly until the amount reached $5,000 Try to answer this as honestly as you can (of course, your individual finances will no doubt influence your answers)
  16. I'm willing to pay money later in the season too, to see them beat Pittsburgh. But, the Pittsburgh game will be MOOT if they lose to Cincy. Make no mistake, this IS the game of the year, and will for all real purposes end our season if we lose. To that end, I want them to win so bad that I'm willing to pay $100 to see it!
  17. I'm such a big fan, and this is such a big game. . . that if they do lose (god forbid) that I need $100 to stomach it. I said to myself that IF they are going to lose, I'm at least going to monetarily profit from it . . . yep.
  18. I just bet $100 on the Bengals to WIN the game against the Bills this week. I'd be glad to lose the money to see a Bills victory. However, if we do lose, I needed something to ease the pain. That said, I do not have a good feeling about the Bills chances in this one. They are so due for a loss, and remember. . . it is on the road. Just a few weeks ago the road was definately a sure loss for us. I'm hoping the bad weather slows Chad Johnson and TJ Housitanyway. Those two have been ridiculous lately. Oh, and I did also lay down $50 on Denver. I think they'll win, seeing as how we need them to lose so badly.
  19. Did you guys just hear John Madden's comments? WOW! We we're almost the Miami franchise in the AFL. And Ralphie has some Silver and Black in his blood (part owner in the early days of Oaktown)!!!!!!!!
  20. He certainly won't win it, but isn't MM going to get some consideration and a few votes for the Coach of The Year Award? If they finish 10-6 or 9-7 I think he should finish about 3rd or 4th in the balloting. MM's shown the team resiliency, if nothing else. Compare MM to Tom Coughlin, who some on this board were clamoring for earlier this year! Glad we didn't hire that guy. He loses his teams quickly with his drill sergeant approach. The future is indeed bright for the Bills with MM, me thinks.
  21. This really ISN'T Ice. . . I'll admit that right now, we have to play DB, as long as we're still in the playoff picture. He does not agree with that.
  22. Oh, nope never sported a mullet. They were before my time. How old are you gramps, and what kind of comb over are you sporting these days?
  23. Oh, I'll keep trying and trying. . . gee, thanks for your input. Thanks for even acknowledging me at all, since I'm just a rookie. Maybe some day I too can be a Hall of Famer on this all important board. Nuance. . . say I like that. I'll try and grasp that concept. By the way, tonight wasn't an isolated incident. I've always thought your posts were very prick-ish. There. . . smiley = nuance. Got it.
  24. Hey, really good comeback there guy. . . you're too smart and witty for little ole' me to tangle with. I'd better not exchange barbs with you. You might even top the previous one. . . I wish I was important around here as you are. I'll make that my goal.
  25. This Alaskan clown does nothing but go to posts and put smart ass comments. I've looked at his posts tonight. They're all of the smart ass variety. Hey dude, If you're running for "Jerk of The Board" you can stop campaigning, you've already won in a landslide. . .
