  1. Anybody playing against New England. . .
  2. I'd say give JP first crack at it, but come on. We need some insurance. JP will basically be a rookie NEXT year! Look at Eli Manning's tribulations. We need a vet in the bull pen in case. I don't think we risk all of next year on just JP. We're not too far off, I'd hate lack of a veteran back up QB to be the reason we don't get in next year.
  3. Exactly correct. I just want a veteran QB aboard, in case JP plays like Eli Manning has.
  4. I'm not yet sold that JP is the answer. . . however, it is a fact that Drew is not. Give him more playmakers? Sheesh. . . ridiculous comment. DB has got to be held accountable at this point. Excuses no longer can be tolerated.
  5. Okay, they were able to win for a while and mask DB's shortcomings. BUT, the bigger the game, the worse Drew plays. DB is average at best, when he has a running game going, a good defense to back stop him, and special teams scoring in bunches. However, when we need to lean on him at all, he does the old El Foldo. He saves his worst for when we need him most. He chokes like a Mama and Papa's singer having a ham sandwich. If we go into next year with him as our starting QB, I will not be getting my hopes up just to have him crush them again. The guy is a joke if there is any pressure involved in a particular game. If we make the playoffs next year and DB is our QB, we will not be going anywhere. He'll choke. JP is likely not going to be ready for next year. With that in mind, I suggest we get rid of DB and his salary, and look at viable veteran alternatives with his salary cap space.
  6. In addition, I'd take McGee and Vincent (at safety) rather than Winfield and whoever we would have had to play at safety if Antoine stayed.
  7. Apologize accepted
  8. Remember Antoine wanting out this past off season because he wanted to "play for a winner"? Nice choice Mr. Stone Hands. The Vikings would have choked their way out of the playoffs if it wasn't for the fact that in the NFC anybody with a pulse has a shot. We would rip the Vikings in Buffalo, and they'd find a way to lose to the Bills in the Metrodome if the game meant anything of importance to them. Also, long-term, I like our team much better than those classic underachievers. Last week, coach Mike Tice said that a loss is a loss, his dog Lucy still licks his face when he goes home, win or lose. . . Tice actually said that to the media! Hell-freakin-larious. So, Antoine, enjoy your time with that "winning" organization. The only ring you'll ever get there is maybe ring around the collar. . .
  9. Yes, but the Vikings have got to be the ultimate choke artists ever. They're doing it again this year. Only the ridiculously weak NFC is keeping them alive. They're going to back into the playoffs despite themselves. It'll be one and out for that imploding team.
  10. Still, I am rooting like the dickens for the Rams to beat Philly so that they'll be alive when they play the Jets. I think that scenario (St.Louis in a do or die vs. the Jets) is our best chance.
  11. Yes. After seeing what Freeney did to Jonathan Ogden last week, I think he'd sack Bledsoe about 5-6 times on that fast track carpet.
  12. I live in the Denver area, and the local media is so giddy today with the Jags loss that I'm getting queasy. They're already expecting a Bronco win against the "1/2 Colts". It is disgusting. Just last week they were ripping Jake and the boys, saying how they didn't deserve to go to the post season. Now they're talking mess about a rematch against the Colts. The smarter reporters are, however, hoping for a Jets loss so that the Donkeys play at San Diego. What gets me is that Buffalo gets nary a mention out here. They seem to think the Indy game is a foregone conclusion as a win, thus no need to mention Buffalo.
  13. I'd MUCH rather play at San Diego than Indy. There is no way Manning lets them lose in round one at home. Remember what they did to Denver last year? They came out smoking and never let off the gas pedal. They'll come out and score 40 against whoever they play in round one. They're going to New England in round 2, no question. San Diego is a nice team, but we'd have a 50/50 shot against them if we brought our A game.
  14. Did you see the sideline interview with that old man? He looks like my grandpappy! Maybe even my great grandpappy! Age spots up the wazoo. Marv Levy looks very youthful and vibrant in comparison.
  15. Well then go Colts AND Rams. I'd MUCH rather play at San Diego than at Indy. Indy aint losing in round one at home. Period.
  16. Anyone? This is true isn't it?
  17. Huh? The Patriots have a first round bye. We will play Indy or San Diego if we make it, and in all likelihood at Pittsburgh in the second round as Indy would play at New England (if Indy wins as expected in round 1).
  18. There is a chance that we win AND BOTH Jets and Broncos lose. If so, wouldn't we get the #5 seed? This may punch a hole in the theory that "Indy gets to pick" who they play in the first round.
  19. Not true. If we win, and the Broncos and Jets lose. . . we get the # 5 seed and play at San Diego!!
  20. Yes, I will. But, I was operating on the premise that Denver would beat Tennessee. Also, I think the odds are better for the Jets to lose their two games than people think. We may not get the loss from Jax that we need, but the Jets could lose both, and I'm expecting Balt. to lose at Pittsburgh. . . leaving Denver as a possible party crasher.
  21. It's a wonderful life for Tom Brady. . . he gets to throw the game losing interception from his arse, and the media quickly forgets it. If that had been DB around here, sheesh, I shudder to even think about it. . .
  22. I'll start. . . It's a wonderful life for Drew Bledsoe, he goes out, throws for about 180 yards, then relies on Willis and that defense to win games.
  23. Your right. I thought S.D. was 10-4, but I see where they are 11-3. What about the possibility of Indy catching New England for the 2nd seed? It would take a N.E. loss this week and at home to San Fran in week 17, though. I wish that N.E.-S.F. game was at 4 PM eastern in week 17! At least Indy would still keep playing that way.
  24. I hope you win your bet, but San Diego needs to win that game, not just cover the spread.
