  1. I get that, but that doesn't square with the high bidding war to put him on the PS. If he was worth paying $500K on the practice squad, there was definitely room on the active roster to drop another scrub, especially for a team like NYJ
  2. Light skinned Hispanics.
  3. Casino video should provide more clues.
  4. Check the other link within the article
  5. Why didn't anyone claim him on waivers? Bizarre
  6. The storm could be the silver lining in providing Fed reconstruction funds, which would not have come otherwise.
  7. How much of Kaepernick's stupidity is due to his girlfriend?
  8. But it's also another glaring example of a socio-economic battle that would be framed on 100% racial lines. That's why we are saying there are a lot more factors involved than simply the color of the skin. When you take time to get to the root causes, it's not as simple as cops having a target on black lives. It's why I agree with Jim Brown's work a lot more than I do with Kaepernick's
  9. Then why hasn't Zimbabwe printed its way into prosperity. Your example works only if there's a productive economy utilizing the liquidity that the central bank is creating. The central bank doesn't create wealth. It provides liquidity to the banks to lend. But, if there's no wealth being created in the private economy, the incentive for the private banks to lend disappears because there's nothing new to lend against and all that central bank liquidity is just paper sloshing around.
  10. In this case, like in the thread, you're focused on the outcome, not the cause of the riots. You know very well that the main reason for the Irish rioting was the fear that free blacks would take their jobs at the bottom economic rung.
  11. Again it's more about the socio economic strata than along racial lines. If you look at the history of racial strife, it's almost always been about economic competition, with the Draft Riots being a particularly dark stain. As for the improved relations regarding the three groups I mentioned, do you think their ascension to acceptance was due to skin color or a complete assimilation into society across all economic strata? If skin color is the determinant, why aren't East Indians included?
  12. Rural America is proving this theory
  13. Would you include the Jews, Italians & Irish in that lucky subset over a thousand years?
  14. But as others asked - Why do you automatically assume that they need your help?
  15. Van Gogh lives!
  16. Somewhere in Texas, Imus is laughing
  17. Hah. State invests $10 million into a facility nobody will use, but block fracking rights on top of the biggest gas reserves in the country.
  18. It's also why Jim Brown goes right into the heart of the problem - the gangs. As long as the gangs perpetuate the disproportionate share of gun-related crimes, the police will continue to profile along the color lines.
  19. Why did he name a guy who's retiring this week as a captain?
  20. Colts finishing first in the draft order would be a great scenario for Buffalo
  21. There was a 20% reduction in gas refining capacity. What do you think will happen to prices?
  22. Don't know why I bother with my crew, but 3 regular please.
  23. Yes, but Bobby was claiming Bills could release him injured outright
