  1. Watching Titan game, first drive got to the 50, brought in Ryan Stonehouse to punt. making me think Bret Kern is gonna get cut and as a vested vet will not be on waivers and he can pick his team. Pretty sure he will be the new punter as he is from Grand Island, NY. Plus he has 15 years of holding experience. Last point, Titans save $1,500,000 in cap space by cutting him
  2. You must be kidding, I’m a person who does not take drastic action based on an accusation, however if any validity to this accusation I don’t want this guy on my roster. Character matters, if you dont believe that go take your thoughts to a teams message board like Cleveland or Miami where slime and criminal behavior is endorsed and encouraged.
  3. Yes, and Tennessee would add about $1,500,000 to their available cap by going with back-up punter
  4. Reviewed spotrac - Brett Kern has $2,750,000 salary, dead cap is $550,000, Titans are $6,640,000 under the cap, other punter has no dead cap and $708,000 salary. Kern will be available in my opinion
  5. It’s McDaniel and the offensive line is a mess, Armstead is barely practicing, they stupidly moved G Connor Williams to C where it’s proven to be a failure so far as he can’t make a center snap. Liam Eichenberg is a hot mess at LG, and Austin Jackson though slimmer still has the same issues as in the past. No ability to run the ball at all and it looks like the thing they need is continuity and this missed practice opportunity and the possibility of the game being canceled realky could set them back
  6. It is being reported that todays scheduled joint practice between the Eagles and Dolphins is cancelled due to severe stomach flu going through the Dolphins. As I check on all AFC East teams the Dolphins are the team that has not been able to put their projected starting roster on the field in any practice, joint practice or pre-season game. With the holes on the roster and lack of depth and with a new coach and many new players this in my opinion is a serious blow to them. Thoughts?
  7. Gesecki dosent block, runs poor routes, limited YAC, Big WR in TE body, FA at the end of the year and has a 9 million plus contract
  8. If the Bills restructure let’s say Tredavious’s deal at add another 6.5 million in cap space do you think it’s money for next year, an extension for Edmunds or Poyer or to bring in another higher priced player in a trade.
  9. Why would we take on a ridiculous contract for a player at a position of depth on our roster?
  10. No dead cap on a trade, sorry to point out your lack of knowledge as to how the cap works. Any other brilliant thoughts to share?
  11. Wondering what depth area the Bills are going to address for the next Beane trade for a draft pick?
  12. I believe Aaron Kromer and his skills as an offensive line coach improved him to the point of making him a trade commidity
  13. This is the game for the players fighting for the few roster spots and for the practice squad. i expect to see Blackshear and Duke Johnson, Hodgkins, Kummerow, Austin, Gentry and the BYU kid, Sweeney and Morris at TE, and all back-up offensive line. On D, all the reserved line, guys like Braylan Spector, Andre Smith and Jo Giles Harris at LB and I do expect to see the two rookie corners getting snaps
  14. I don’t feel the Bills can afford to take the cap hit by cutting Howard
  15. I think Blackshear may be next years Singletary replacement
  16. After yesterdays great performance I can the the complexity of putting together the 53 man initial roster, in this thread I am assuming Tre White is not put on pup and Ike Bottinger is Here we go QB - 2 Allen Keenam RB - 5 Singletary Cook Moss Blackshear Jones - ST WR - 7 Diggs Davis Mckenzie Shakir Crowder Hodgkins Kummerow - ST TE - 3 Knox Howard Gilliam - FB/TE/ST OL - 9 Dawkins Bates Morse Saffold Brown Quesenbery Doyle Mancz Ford Specialists - 3 Ferguson Bass Ariza DL - 9 Miller Oliver Jones Rousseau Basham Epinesa Lawson Settle Phillips LB - 5 Edmunds Milano Dodson Bernard Matekevich - ST CB - 6 White Jackson Johnson Elam Benford Neal - ST S - 4 Hype Poyer Johnson Hamlim Your thoughts
  17. I thought you all might like to read this post from the Jacksonville Message Board: This is for you and any other delusional Bill's fan that want the truth. I'm not even going to predict a score for this week as I was dead wrong last week. I still saw yesterdays game and I know that the Jags had more opportunities to win that game than the Tacks. Yesterday's game was a war, make no mistake about that. The simple fact that there were so many injuries on the lineman of both teams goes to show you that the battle was in the trenches and the tacks won. All credit given to the Tacks for playing the better game. However, I refuse to allow a Bill's fan to come on our board and use his last Sunday's contact high to demean or undermine our squad. Listen up Bill's fans, WE ARE GOING TO MURDER YOUR TEAM! Any hopes you may have had about the Clots, the Bolts or the Pats giving you a easy path through the playoffs will be shattered this Sunday. This is not smack talk. your rag tag group of rookies and sophomores won't stand a chance against our men Sunday. You can post all of the Jaguars' weaknesses and turn around and prop em up because your scared to go all out, only moments later say that the Bills have the edge in every category. You can also try to downplay our coaches and running backs. Just know that after Sunday's game you won't be as high on your international team as you are today. Also, don't forget the 2003 season when you came out beating us and the SB winning Pats in week 1 and 2 and you went on to go 6-10. Point is-the Bills choke. The Bills are incapable of of coming into Jax and playing smash mouth with even our replacements or backups. Bills lose. Its what they do best. Murder-There will be blood.
  18. Yes, he will be available next off-season, however by trading a conditional pick, you can secure his services, give him a good evaluation and then sign while you have him under contract. I do believe their is a market for Losman and he will garner interest. No matter what other posters think, Pennington would be a good fit in Buffalo in a controlled passing offense.
  19. If Chad Pennington does come available the Bills should move quickly to sign him as our back-up QB. His skill set fits the type of offense we will be running and has the cerebal game that is perfect for a back-up QB. In addition he could come in and give the Bills quality starts in the event of an injury to Edwards. The biggest upside with Chad is arm strength and the defenses ability to shorten the field as he has triuble with out routes and deep routes. His strength is accuracy and ability to read and dissect a defense and with ourline, running game and receivers could thrive in our offense. Plus he would be like an assistant QB coach to help Edwards thru tough times. JP Loseman would then be available to trade. If the Bills find a trade partner, (Falcons, Bears, Lios, Vikings, Chiefs and Panthers all come to mind) a conditional draft pick for 2009 could be negotiated. As much as I like JP and feel he does have upside as a starting QB in the future, he will file for free agency at the end of the season and the Bills will get NOTHING in return. This could be the best case scenario for both the Bills and JP.
  20. I know that I will probably get hammered for this post but here goes. If I was the Bills front office I would look at signing Chad Pennington when he is released by the Jets. Even though arm strength is below average, he is an excellent game manager and would make a great back-up for Trent Edwards. His experience and cerebral approach to the game would make him a perfect fit for Dick Jauron also. With Pennington in the fold as the back-up, we could then move on to finding a trade partneer for JP Loseman. I like JP and think he does have upside in this league. However, point of fact is that he will be leaving at the end of the season and we probably will get nothing more then a 6th of 7th round compensatory pick at the best case. Maybe a teams like the Bears, Lions or Vikings who have major QB issues would be interested and we might be able to fashion a deal with a conditional pick in 2009. This is my suggestion and you folks are welcome to provide your input and advise what you might do.
  21. Now that we are starting to see some of manuevering take place here is my updated 1st round: 1. Miami - Jake Long - Signed 2. St. Louis - Glenn Dorsey - DT LSU 3. Baltimore - Matt Ryan - QB - BC (Trade with Falcons) 4. Oakland - Chris Long - DE - Virginia 5. Kansas City - Vernon Gohlstene - DE - Ohio State 6. New York Jets - Darrin McFaddin - RB - Arkansas 7. New England - Keith Rivers - LB - USC 8. Atlanta - Sedrick Ellis - DT - USC 9. Cincinnati - Brandon Albert - OT/OG - Virginia 10. New Orleans - Leodis McKelvin - CB - Troy The Bills are on the clock, do: A. Make the pick at 11 B. Trade Down If A - Please state whom you'll pick If B - State the team we will trade down with and who we will pick
  22. Youn bring up a good point, however if Derrick Harvey is available at 11, you make him the pick as he may very well be a Dwight Freeney type of DE. To take a WR at 11 would be a shame as no WR really merits a pick above 17th. Plus we are trying to be better next season and a "top" WR will not really be ready to contribute until 2009. Then we have a tougher schedule and may not be able to take advantage of this year's "soft schedule" Corner's, Defensive ends, russ linebackers and RB's provide the greatest difference making capability as history proves. In my opinion Jordy Nelson provides the best potential to make a valuable contribution in 2008.
  23. I have read many posts on the Bills needs in this draft for a receiver and while I do agree that the need is their, I disagree on what type of receiver is needed. The 1st priority is to sign Lee Evans to a new long term contract. This will mean that once completed, we will need a quality #2 and one with the ability to be a possession receiver and an end zone mismatch for shorter corners. Assuming that is the need, then why pursue receivers like Sweed or Devin Thomas with our 1st round pick as they both are potential #1 WR's and would be a waste of talent where you could easily select a Jordy Nelson in round 2 who really would be a great complimentary receiver for the Bills. He has size, good but not great speed (4.51), can jump and has that magical quality of being open seemingly "all the time". Plus he has production history in college and is said to be of very high character. This to me is a quality pick in round 2 at the 41st pick. We can now focus on Round 1, at pick 11 we will have many options. I think any one of four players of interest and need will be available, they are: Dominique Rogers Cromartie Derrick Harvey Brandon Albert Keith Rivers I assume 3 of the 4 will be gone as Cromartie could be selected by the Patriots, Ravens or Saints, Harvey could be selected by New England or New Orleans, Albert could go as high as 5 to Kansas City and Rivers has been mentioned as a potential landing spot for New England, Cincinnati or New Orleans. We know that Jake Long, Chris Long, Glenn Dorsey, Vernon Gohlstein, Sedrick Ellis, Darrin McFaddin and Matt Ryan are going to be gone within the 10 1st picks. Leodis McKelvin should be gone by the 10th pick, leaving the four players I listed with one or maybe two still available when we pick at 11. If this scenario plays out, which way would you go. Take the player, trade down and with whom and which position would you select if WR and TE are addressed in rounds 2 and 3. Look forward to reading your thoughts on this.
