  1. Do you work for the Bills? I was pointing out that Schobel is white and Peters is black and that I am becoming suspect on the Bills dealings with minority players. You obviously need things spelled out don't you. So you DO work for the Bills!
  2. You mean like the history of how the Bills took care of Antoine Winfield, Pat Williams, Nate Clements and now Lee Evans???? What world do you guys live in that you believe in the PR garbage that comes from One Bills Drive? There's a reason the Bills never win anymore. They know that they can pull the wool over the fans eyes and get away with it. That fans will believe anything they tell them. They even got fans to believe that Dick Jauron is the next Marv Levy! Peters is the smartest man in the whole organization. Lee Evans may be the dumbest man for believing the crap that he'll get rewarded by this poorly run franchise which rewards the nobodies and let's their best players hit the road.
  3. It's funny how an entire offseason can make many fans forget how bad Edwards played once the opposing defenses had film on him. Dead issue? Hardly. If Edwards doesn't learn how to burn defenses, this issue WILL come back to the forefront. If Losman was so awful and Edwards was so great, why were their stats nearly identical last year? You guys crack me up.
  4. No wonder this guy does post much. There's no need to be a wise guy when someone puts forth such a well thought out post regarding our much debated QBs.
  5. You mean the same #83 that STILL has no new contract???? Maybe THAT'S why Peters is basically telling them to go screw themselves! It's crazy that they have not renegotiated Evans' contract yet. This team will never be good again because they only care about paying the overrated high motor guys. What a stupid front office. It's starting to rival their coaching staff. This thing WILL get ugly, count on it cheap bastards.
  6. Silence? I'm sorry that I don't have all day to sit and argue and answer every counterpoint there buddy. As for the contrary arguments, you mean the ones that equate the Bills dealings of grade "B" players as opposed to their grade "A" players? It's an interesting trend that I am starting to see, I don't like it and I'd much rather have Evans and Peters than Aaron Schobel any day of the week including of course, Sundays. They could not wait to give Schobel his renegotiated money. Couldn't give it to him fast enough. If the Bills want to quell the eventual comparisons of the dealings of both Bills players, then they need to be as happy to show Peters the big money as they were to Schobel (who by the way is not nearly as good of a talent).
  7. I'm just going on recent history here of their dealings with Bills players. Clements, Evans, Peters vs Schobel. They couldn't give Schobel his money fast enough and he's not nearly as good as those three guys are. May not make you wonder what's going on, but it certainly is something that I'm starting to question. Are they outwardly saying such things behind close doors? I'm thinking no. But it's weird how they play hardball with those first three that I mentioned and how easily Aaron got his money.
  8. Like it really matters. Peters is BY FAR the best player on this team right now. What difference does how he got there make? If only we had 52 other players who became one of the best at their positions! The Bills renegotiated a slightly above average (and very white) defensive end named Aaron Schobel. Why aren't they willing to renegotiate with Peters who happens to be their best player? The guy who is the fourth highest paid lineman on the Bills? This is ridiculous. I'm starting to think it may have something to do with his skin color. Schobel sucks compared to Peters' talent level and he got his money before his contract is up. Where the hell is Evans' and Peters' renegotiated contracts? The Bills are a joke and an argument could be brought that they only take care of the high motor white guys and then stick to their guns when it comes to everyone else. It's sad what's happened to this franchise.
  9. Yes, I'm entitled and I wish I had a different outlook on the man's abilities as a head coach. Just so you know, I will be goofy for Buffalo Bills football come the season opener, hope everything that you say is true and that Dick Jauron makes my statements look awfully foolish. Go Bills!
  10. You mean the same Tony Dungy that lead Tampa to the playoffs in 4 out of 7 years? This is who you are comparing Dick Jauron with? Yes, they are exactly the same head coach if you don't compare how many winning teams and playoff appearances they've both had. You act as if Jauron is the second coming of Dungy, yet Jauron is both older and has been coaching in the league longer than Tony and had only one lucky charmed winning season out of seven. In terms of head coaching, Dungy left Jauron in a cloud of dust long ago. It's over for Jauron. How in the world can you compare the two and act as if Jauron can still have the same success of Tony Dungy when nothing in his history indicates that this ever going to happen? It's unfortunate that the Bills are going to have to change the staff yet again after another disappointing season in '08 but that is what I am fully expecting. You can hope and wish for better coordinators all you want, but if the head guy can't ever get his team over the hump then it's time to own up to the big mistake of thinking Jauron is the next great coach of the Bills. He may be a good guy, but Jauron is and always will be a loser head coach.
  11. If Jauron has yet ANOTHER year of a pathetically predictable, conservative low scoring offense which is the cause of this team not making the playoffs for the ninth straight season then THAT is on him. Throwing your hands in the air and saying "I don't know offense" is not an excuse anymore when every team except one of the seven season's he's been a head coach has ranked near the bottom of the league in offense. Why there's such a tight unwavering bond with Bills fans and this loser I will never know. So you're going to have confidence he'll get it right in his NINTH season as a head coach in '09 as long as someone smarter than him chooses to take over the OC hiring duties???? That's an amazing leap of faith. He's an ok NFL defensive coordinator, he's NOT head coaching material, period.
  12. The key problem in your post is that head coaching an NFL football team is nothing like being the leader of a corporation as you suggested. It parallels a military chain of command not the business world. Maybe that's why the Bills have been so freaking pathetic! Your right in the sense that being a CEO is exactly how Jauron approaches his job. He hires the subordinates then just oversees the disaster all the while avoiding blame at all costs. Doesn't get his hands dirty. Well maybe THAT'S why he sucks so bad as a head coach. ALL of the great head coaches were great "Generals" who were great tacticians during "battle". Knowing how best to plan the attack of the opposition and how to adjust "on the fly" so to speak. Thank you for finally pointing out the main reason why Dick Jauron has been a complete failure as an NFL head coach.
  13. Then WTF is he a head coach for if he's not responsible for the offense too? This is too much. I can't believe the absolution of Jauron's lack of head coaching abilities around here. When you're a head coach you're responsible for the ENTIRE team's performance!
  14. Of which there are exactly 0 members. It's a sign of stupidity when a fan like yourself just starts making sh_t up. Thinking that Losman will end up being the better of the two QBs does not equate to rooting for him against the Bills. I know that's a big 'ol concept to wrap your tiny brain around so you may not want to attempt it.
  15. If you've been a head coach in the NFL for 7 years and STILL do not know anything about offense then you are NOT cut out to be an NFL head coach. You should go back to being a defensive coordinator. One of the jobs of being a head coach is to make CHANGES when things are clearly not working whether it's special teams, defense or OFFENSE. He was either grossly negligent in his duties last year, he was on board with what Fairchild was doing and/or had a hand in the pathetically predictable offense. None of these three scenarios are good if you're a Bills fan. Do you really support a head coach who just shrugs his shoulders and says, "Hey, I don't know anything about offense. What do you want me to do?". This guy is a moron if he STILL doesn't know anything about offense and how to best use his offensive players on Sunday. I can not believe the pass this guy gets with the press and the fans. It's unbelievable.
  16. Our line were pretty good blockers last year in the passing game. Do you even watch the games? Marshawn missed about two blitzes all year, and so to you that equates to he has trouble stopping blitzing cheerleaders. I've now come to expect this stuff coming from the biggest coaching apologist here. Let me clue you in... 1. Marshawn should have been running routes and NOT pass blocking. Trent has a quick release and dumping the ball off to Marshawn should have been a staple play in our offense. It wasn't one because our coaching was moronic. 2. The defenses KNEW what plays the Bills were going to run prior to the ball being snapped. National commentators were correctly calling plays before the ball was snapped. This is because every time Trent made a fake audible with arm movements the Bills would of course run the ball. The Bills consistently ran the ball on first and second downs. This offense was the most predictable offense that I've ever seen. Do you know what kind of pressure that puts the offensive line under? Do you? When they actually KNOW if it will be a run or pass? 3. It is pathetic coaching when pee wee football teams have an audible system yet the NFL football team Buffalo Bills did not. That's an outrage, that's moronic coaching that does not trust in their players. Yet you will continue to blame the players because the 6 of 7 season loser head coach Dick Jauron has just had the sh_ttiest luck when it came to talent. It couldn't possibly be that he's a horrible head coach. I'm sorry, but every time I see you try to skew reality and knock the players, I'll be there to set the record straight. Your buddy Jaroun's departure from the Bills can not come soon enough for me.
  17. He should be fired. As for the replacement, I'd go after the Giants DC, Steve Spagnuolo. The guy who made the 18-0 Tom Brady look like Marsha Brady in the Superbowl. It's a realistic hire and not of the "let's hire Bill Cower" variety. To those that will cry about a rookie head coach, I say you can NOT bring another retread lovable loser like Dick Jauron to town. The right call is to go young and get a guy who's ready to make a mark on the league. Not a guy who wants to run an offense like it's the freaking 1940's.
  18. Yes, because the Bills surely didn't need them the twenty or so times the Bills went touchdownless in the redzone. Worst in the league. I think if you're worst in the league and a trick play has worked for you, you might want to try it again at least one more freaking time. But this is Jauron's calling card. Hit one jackpot, leave the casino and never go back again. I feel sorry for any player that's had to play on offense with this guy as their head coach. Count Dickula, he'll suck the life out of any NFL offense under his command as a head coach.
  19. Sorry, but that pass had very little zip to it. It was heaved into the air and looked more like a punt than a pass. If we were playing anyone but the Dolphins it would have been defended. Edwards simply doesn't have very good arm strength when it comes to the deep passes. He excels at the short to medium range passing game and does have an excellent quick release, but you can't start telling us he has very good arm strength because of that deep lollipop pass against the fins. Arm strength is there when the ball is thrown deep with some zip to it.
  20. Just so you know, "back to that play" does not equate to "running it once a week". It worked like a charm and should have been run a couple, if not three more times during the season. If you disagree, that's fine with me. There are a lot of posters here that are wrong on many issues. We should be using ALL of Marshawn Lynch's skills...running, catching AND passing. The guy's a freak who has the unfortunate circumstance of being saddled with an ultraconservative unchanging loser of a head coach.
  21. The west coast offense invokes using the pass to set up the running game which is about a 180 degrees difference from the run run pass punt offense that Jauron seems to be so mesmerized with. I would definitely like to see more passing in '08. I'd also like to see Marshawn play a big part in the passing game. The guy's got great ball catching skills. He's not that bad at tossing the rock either, 1 pass 1 touchdown. Did they ever go back to that play? Of course not. It was the one and only out of the box play in '07. I wouldn't get your hopes up as long as Jauron is calling the shots.
  22. Yes, because as we all know, us Bills fans banged the door down at One Bills Drive and forced them to hire the likes of Greg Williams, Mike Malarkey and Dick Jauron. Dude, you have got to stop with these embarrassing and desperate posts regarding Dick Jauron's hard luck. BTW, the league as a whole is no where's near of the same quality of that Dallas era. I give you Rothlesberger's Steeler's and Eli's Giants as prime examples of how far the league has fallen in quality since those times. The Bills SHOULDN'T NEED three HOFers like those guys to achieve their goal of winning the Superbowl. I've come to the conclusion that you just don't understand NFL football very much.
  23. Thank you for providing the very definition of the "Dick Jauron Myth". I am amazed at how many fans like you are still buying into it. Unfortunately you are in for major heartbreak in '08. This guy lacks the guts and gile to ever be a winning head coach. This is a game that demands it's head coaches be smarter and more unpredictable than the other head coach. Dick is a dumb head coach, unchanging and someone who basically hands opposing coaches his game plans if for the simple fact that they are so predictable.
  24. You obviously didn't understand me, I was talking about Simpson's previous season when he was completely healthy. The season he had a respectable 76 tackles, 50 solo and 2 interceptions. Wilson only started 9 games and still came away with 37 tackles, 30 solo and 2 interceptions. I'll call it even-steven performances, but I do think that Wilson has a much better nose for the ball. That's a key for free safety. No doubt???? That's one position that should definitely be up for grabs. Since when did Ko Simpson become a freaking all-pro? Him AND Whitner need to step up their games in '08. Unless you're ok with veteran players not making a bigger impact on the field. Secondly, your wrong on Jauron's say in player decisions. It's well known he has a huge say in who they target and bring onto the roster. FYI...Jauron, as of now, has shown no signs of being a "GOOD" head coach. Unless you think that "good" means "mediocre". This is my feeling on all matters of the Buffalo Bills....if you're mediocre don't let the door hit ya in the ass on the way out. Perhaps you have different aspirations for the Bills. Look, Dick Jauron now has a loooooong record as an NFL head coach and he's done run out of the tired and lame excuses you all like to expound upon. Sorry, but I've given up on this close-to-the-vest play-not-to-lose loser. If he does indeed make me eat my words I'll be happy as a clam to do so. Don't see it happening though.
