  1. The thing about gathering extra picks is that there comes a tipping point when there are only so many roster spots on a team with a lot of young players already. I get the feeling that the Patriots will trade up for one of the following players...Miller, Quinn, Jordan or Watt.
  2. What does this say about their ability to scout LBs?... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/12/07/bill-polian-admits-making-a-mistake-drafting-jerry-hughes/ I should just accept the fact that that they're probably going to blow this pick.
  3. I was trying to be the squeaky wheel in the face of about about 40-50% of the board being hugely supportive of the Bills picking Miller. Not only that, all the experts love him too. So I had to add a little bit of bluster to get some attention. I feel that I've done about as much as I can do promoting Quinn's abilities. I guess I've got it out of my system now. If the Bills do take Miller then I'll be hoping that not only is he as good as, but that he's an even better player than Matthews. Even I think that there's a chance (won't get into how much) that this could be the case. Hey man, you and I both agree that the proposed trade with the Redskins (getting next year's #1) would be a no brainer.
  4. This country needs someone to come in with a chainsaw and start hacking away. The thing that I like about Trump mixing it up (regardless of whether he's serious or not) is that he could care less about being politically correct. It's refreshing. I think that's what's driving his poll numbers. People are fed up with politicians who put feelings above straight talk. People are hurting economically in this country. This is why Chris Christie became so popular here in New Jersey (his election win was the beginning of the end of the Obama era), he just was as blunt as you could be and the people who don't get payed by the taxpayers absolutely loved it.
  5. Thanks man. This is a passionate pick for us fans. I get that. I hope that my style of debating doesn't come across as meanness towards my fellow Bills fans. I'm going to relax on the LOLs for a while, I think that's been annoying some. For me it's like an "are you kidding me?" in an argument. Whoever they pick, some fans will be happy, some will be upset, and all fans will hope they made the right choice.
  6. "I'm not going to post a Miller video because I'm afraid 1billsfan will fun of him." Guys, nothing I or anyone of you say, will have any bearing on who the Bills will pick. If the last 10 years don't remind you of that fact then nothing will. This is all supposed to be for fun. I'm sorry if I've been too harsh. If the Bills pick Miller I will cheer him on and hope that he's the next Clay Matthews, maybe even better. I do think there's a chance of that happening. But for that to happen he will have to be physical at the next level. That's where my hang up is with him, but geez don't take this so seriously. Let's enjoy these two weeks, we deserve it right?…
  7. Now that's a copout! I understand why you balked though, since no such video exists showing Miller as having the physicalness which would translate to him being worthy of a #3 overall NFL OLB pick. Quinn had neither a good nor a bad FSU game. You even admitted that they game planned it that way. FSU did screen them to death. Quinn's good but sorry he's not 10 feet tall so as to swat away those screen passes. BTW, that kind of game plan would never work in the NFL. We ARE talking about what they'll do in the NFL after all, not in college where you have these wacky catch and chuck college QB friendly systems. If the Bills are in 3rd and long, I want a monster like Quinn in there, not a glorified strong safety who simply does not posses enough size or power to disengage blockers on a regular enough basis. C'mon man, show me the video!
  8. I gave you the very real impression of what FSU did to make sure that Quinn was not a factor. Are you disputing that there were not a ton of screen passes? A few double teams? One triple team? Rolls outs only to the right away from Quinn? C'mon yourself. He wasn't a factor in that FSU's game plan ensured that he wouldn't be a factor...LOL Go ahead and pick a Miller video and we'll see how objective I can be with it. Seriously, select any one that you wish to pick.
  9. Exactly how does Quinn look bad on that Ponder video????...LOL This was my impression...screen pass, screen pass, double team, roll right, hold, screen pass, double team, screen pass, triple team (6:05 mark), roll right, screen pass. I didn't mark it, but the second time they let Ponder throw the ball over 10 yards, the OT literally had Quinn in a choke hold. Ponder would have been one with the turf if he wasn't held on that play. That Ponder video shows me that FSU was keenly aware of Quinn's ability to blow up a play and did a great job in not allowing him to be a factor. Wow, it amazes me how two people can see entirely different events. It's no wonder there's so much arguing after a Bills game.
  10. I know you're joking, but there's some truth to the Pats and Ravens making a big move. Not at #2, but starting at pick #5. Only the Pats have enough picks to move up to the 2nd pick but it's HIGHLY doubtful they'd do that since there will be a highly sought after rush linebacker left even if the Bills do select one of the two. I definitely could see the Pats (and maybe the Ravens if Quinn is there) go after Miller or Quinn at Arizona's pick.
  11. He looks like a man among boys in this video and he's only a sophmore. What I like is that he's got the Bruce Smith-like unreal lean when rushing the QB. I'm amazed that both Dareus and Miller are rated higher than him. My hope is that the lack of Quinn to the Bills talk means that he's the one they like the most.
  12. I know this will excite the Dareus people... http://www.milehighreport.com/2011/4/12/2107285/denver-broncos-allegedly-shopping-2nd-overall-pick I still like Quinn over anybody in this draft, even Dareus. I get the feeling that Dareus won't be as great as experts say he'll be. There's such a low hit rate on top 10 big defensive linemen. It may not be fair, but he strikes me as a guy who could be the defensive version of big Mike Williams. There's an interview of him laughing at the reporter's suggestion whether he'd been working out since championship win (which they won a month earlier). After he laughs he says that he's never considered himself a workout warrior...yikes, not good! But get excited Dareus people, he may be on the board after all.
  13. LOL...beauty as they say, is in the eye of the beholder. BTW, that's a sophmore. He's going to be a freak at the next level.
  14. I'm hoping the Panthers take Newton because I really don't want the Bills to have to take that kind of a gamble. I'm speaking in general that I don't think those two players are as good at they're being advertised.
  15. I did break it down before, but you obviously forgot that part...LOL Here you are again... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqJrjwjf55c 00:12 great use of hands (yes, this is physical) to keep Costanzo's hands off him and swoop in for the kill shot. 02:21 bull rushes Costanzo (who couldn't handle him) and is at the QB in 3 seconds flat, great "physical" rush 03:21 splits a double team OG/OT , forces a bad throw, interception to the 1 yr. line., great "physical" rush Also, take a look at that Virginia game I posted. I'm amazed that the year off has knocked his stock as far down as it has, from what I've seen, the guy is a physical freak. He reminds me of the way Lawrence Taylor played. BTW, if Taylor was playing now he'd be the same size as Quinn. People like saying that Taylor played at Miller's weight, however that was when lineman were easily 20-30 lbs lighter.
  16. I do speak in absolute terms when it comes to Gabbert and Miller. I feel that these two guys in particular are being misrepresented by the "experts". We all know how often these guys get it wrong and this is an extremely important (and subsequently emotional pick) for us fans. So just like every year, battle lines are drawn. I grow tired of using the IMO all the time, but in the end that's merely what it is. Just another opinion. So please don't get crazy over just another guy's opinion. Why are these guys being pushed so hard? Obviously they showed talent in college, but I think a lot has to do with them both fitting the perfect "schoolboy" types which the NFL wants more than ever to be the face of the the league. I just don't want "image" being the determining factor. I'd rather have a superstar with a few warts than a perfect angel who's just an ok player.
  17. You act as if all these Miller supporters were watching Texas A&M games this past college season. Oh yeah!! TONS of Bills fans here were watching Texas A&M!!...LOL Face it, they didn't and if they tell you they did they're probably lying. As long as the video on youtube isn't doctored (is it?...LOL), then I feel more than confident in giving an opinion on these two players. I'm still waiting on the video showing Miller's physical style of play. I've already posted a few of Quinn showing this ability. BTW, if you have time to watch college football every saturday then you're either not married or you don't have a girlfriend...LOL
  18. Not when that Qb will never be as good as what we have now in Fitzpatrick. No way the Bills pick Gabbert, it's either Newton or defense. Gabbert's 16 TDs in a spread offense tells us that we have nothing to worry about in terms of future regret in passing over him.
  19. Explain this then (1/8/11)... http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2011matt_1.php I'm not hating, just trying to keep it real and get away from the expert's hype machine.
  20. Dude, that's complete BS and you know it. Miller wasn't even considered top 10 in January of THIS year!...LOL Miller = finesse player Quinn = physical player I don't want a four cylinder when I need and can have an eight. The experts are wrong on Miller, just like they're wrong on Gabbert. Miller will be an ok player, Quinn will be the superstar. Mark it down, lock it in, the Bills will be making a huge mistake if they select Miller.
  21. Check out this video of Quinn v Virginia... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CNoYxbvKxXE That's the difference between these two players. One can take on blocks and still make a play because of his size, the other one can only run around blockers to make a play. Can Miller change his game and play bigger fending off blocks? That's a huge question mark now don't you think since we've yet to see it on video? Let me ask you something, if the experts were all saying that Quinn was the best, not Miller, would you still be so high on Miller?
  22. I seriously don't get why "Team A" would think that working out a QB would scare "Team B" into trading into "Team A's" slot so that they could select the QB that "Team A" liked in the first place. I hope it pisses off Sanchez and creates a serious divide between him and the coaches. I love the fact that all these mid-round talented mediocre QBs are being so highly sought after. It only pushes more valuable players to our picks in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds. Bills should just load up on defense this year. For all those wishing the Bills pick one of these mediocre types, just remember how the Panthers blew a valuable pick in selecting Claussen. If Newton doesn't go to the Bills then the Bills should NOT think of drafting a QB until the later rounds. Better to wait and see how Fitzpatrick does, and if he does lousy then the Bills will probably be in a prime position to draft a great QB prospect next year. Maybe even Luck or Barkley.
  23. You should be worried. Whenever I get close to feeling that Von Miller might be a good pick, i just go back and watch the video on him. Whoever picks Miller will be making a huge mistake because the video just doesn't match the insane hype this guy has been getting. Go watch the Texas game, the Nebraska game. I see a blitzing strong safety, not an NFL outside linebacker. Just like a strong safety he runs AROUND people. Seriously, that's all he does. To be fair, I'll say he's a 2 trick pony since he does cover well. But what else would you expect from a safety? Miller will be EASILY neutralized at the next level. Are you kidding me? You don't think that Belichick and Ryan will know how to handle Von Miller? Here's a clue, just have someone, ANYONE, block him. OL, TE, RB, they'll all be able to handle him. I'll be very disappointed if they draft Miller. Give me Quinn, Peterson, Green, Jordan or Watt…do not draft Miller. For the guys that say he's bigger now, who cares? He didn't play that kind of game in college. We didn't see him use size as a way to get to the ball carrier. So you'll be drafting a guy based on thinking but not showing he can do it? Wow, either way it goes, this is going to be one crazy board after that first pick.
  24. Unless the Panthers and Broncos both pass on Newton, I just don't see anyway the Bills are able to trade the pick. Who would be willing to trade away their 1st and 2nd round pick for the an unproven and highly questionable franchise QB in Gabbert? I just don't see that happening. I think he goes to the 49ers. Gabbert reminds me a lot of Jim Harbaugh. Very similar personalities. Plus, Harbaugh just gave Alex Smith a huge vote of confidence!!!! Lock it in, Gabbert's a 49er...LOL
  25. If Gabbert was such a hot prospect, why is Cam Newton (a guy with character concerns) an almost certain to go #1 to the Panthers? If Gabbert was such a hot prospect, why did he last all the way down to Washington's 10th pick in GBN's fan vote in mock draft poll? Gabbert being considered a franchise QB was a sham from the start foisted upon us by the "experts" who were desperately looking for a "great white" star QB to talk up. I love hearing Mayock's latest squimish attempts to tell us why he's a franchise QB. He sounds like a politician trying to sell tax increases...LOL Oh, some team like the 49ers will bite, but that will only prove how desperate NFL teams have become in their QB search. Gabbert should really be grouped in with the other QBs being talked about at the end of rd 1 or early rd 2.
