  1. Someone mentioned it a couple days ago. Don't know if he would be an upgrade over any of our so called QB's. He's third on their depth chart behind Volek and Rivers. Don't know much about his career or college record. Would he be worth a third or should we draft Skelton, Pike, or Lefevour in the third?
  2. " he does not exhibit the strength or size to play ......" That would cover about 75% of our roster.
  3. I watch the Bills, so I guess no I don't watch football.
  4. If we could pick some other teams later first say around #15-20 and a second round #15-20, I would do it. We need alot of players, so getting as many picks as possible would be nice ala Jimmy Johnson's draft technique.
  5. Ouch, yeah Sammy Morris. Forgot about him. Another player the Bills let go that went on to have a nice NFL career.
  6. I would like to see if McCargo can get his career going under Gailey's leadership. He has the size and body type needed to play the NT position. He seems to be the only NT sized player we have on the roster right now. I'm hoping some how the light turns on and he can become the player we drafted him to be. If he could turn into the starting NT, Maybin into a stud OLB, and Brohm into the next Drew Brees it would be a dream.
  7. This my biggest beef with this team. We let players walk and they go on to have fine NFL careers else where. Justin Bannan is a fine example. We let him go after his contract then we go out and sign a Stroud. I would rather have Bannan as he is younger and is every bit as good. I remeber we were deperate for a DT. We need to keep players and fill other spots. We draft all pro's, let them walk, then we need to draft again. Clements and Winfield, Pat Williams and Justin Bannan. LondonFletcher and TKO Spikes, Jim Leonhard and Pierson Prioleau.
  8. Could Gailey use Roscoe in Reed's slot? I hope Roscoe can find his way into the lineup in Reed's old position. Now more than ever he has the chance to gain the slot position. Evans, Hardy, and Parrish in the slot sounds nice.
  9. No Pats are waiting for Roscoe Parrish to be released. They will turn him into the next Wes Welker.
  10. Who is Tyler Thigpen? Was'nt he a receiver for the Steelers? How is going to play QB?
  11. Gotta agree. Dansby is a good player, but they overpaid. That's what usually happens in free agency. Teams get into a frenzy that they have to sign a big name just to make a move and end up over paying. See Washington Redskins/Haynsworth. Every year the Redskins go out and win the free agency race, but every year they still suck.
  12. I like, but keep Evans. He's still young and is productive unlike Lynch. I hope Lynch was just in a slump last year because we need 2 backs.
  13. Not to mention were in a very tough division with teams that are serious contenders. These teams put winning a priority over profitability. If you put a winner on the field the team will be profitable Ralph. Signing some big name like TO to put fans in the seats is the wrong way to go about it. It's going to take a couple of seasons of despare to get going in the right direction. I don't see Belichek, Ryan or Saprono going anywhere for a long time. We can either lay down and take a beating or get off our ass and do some kicking.
  14. The Jets traded for Cromartie. Now they have 2 shut down corners. If Sanchez has another decent season the Jets should be right back into the playoffs. The Dolphins had a wicked hard schedule last season and are sure to have a better record this year. The Pats, well Tom Brady, Bill Belicheat. Enough said. We are in the toughest division in the NFL. Teams in our division are getting even better. We need to be patient and trust Nix and Gailey to build this thing right. It's going to take a few years and maybe the other teams slide a bit. I'm willing to be patient and build through the draft. I just hope Ralph has winning in the best interest of the team and trying to be a cheap skate by putting profit ahead of wins out of his mind.
  15. Could be a couple second tier free agents for depth. Lord knows the way we get injured we could use some depth.
  16. You thought Jake was crying alot today. No way anybody in their sane mind would come to play behind our so called offensive line. Were stuck with what we got and draft until the line is rebuilt.
  17. No free agents this year. Strickly a draft year for us 3-5 year building plan. Draft for a couple years then add some free agents.
  18. Why do you want a veteran QB. It's not like were going to the superbowl next year. We need to draft a QB in the 3rd or 4th (Pike or Lefevour or Skelton) and let them ride the pine and learn the NFL while Brohm, Edwards, or Fitz get sacked to death. We are in for a 3-5 year building mess here. No vet QB in their right mind would want to come here to play behind a line that does'nt even a tackle on the roster.
  19. Now you want Lions cast offs. We have really gone to the crapper.
  20. I've heard the Dolphins are absolutly in love with him and will take in first definetly in second.
  21. Even though we drafted 2 guards last year, we could spend draft picks on another guard to replace Wood if he moves to center of has'nt recovered, and two Tackles. We should spend every draft pick on the OL and DL. We have so many holes to fill it's going to take a few years to fill them all. Forget QB until the OL line is worked out, not to mention we don't have any DL men to play the 3-4. WR is another mess, no TO, no Reed, and Evens is at best a #2 reciever.
  22. Ellison played rather well last year, and is much better suited to the 3-4 olb position. Maybin, Mitchell, Poz, and Ellison are our backers opening day. I hope they draft some more and I hope Nic Harris can get in there and Brian Scott is an option as depth at OLB an safety. Lb's, secondary, and kickers are the only positions that we are possibly o.k. at. We could use some depth. but this team has way too many other holes to fill.
  23. Yeah, I don't see what Clausen has other than being the QB of ND. Would much rather take Pike or Lefevour in the third or fourth as they seem to have much more upside. I think in a couple of years and a few lbs. and Pike is going to be awesome. Pike and Lefevour just have that "it" quality you can't coach into a qb. Bradford=no thanks also.
  24. Too small and too tall. You ideally want 350+ lbs and between 6' and 6'4". Stroud does'nt seem to play with a low enough center of gravity. Would be better suited for the 4-3 or maybe DE. All this talk of moving DT to DE and DE to LB is rubish. If a player is not natural at that given postion, you have potential disaster on your hands, which is what the Bills are headed for this year.
  25. Oh god please no. He's a dinosuar and moves like one too. Watched him some last year and looked so slow coming out of his stance.
