The Saints let go of their DT this week. I think his name was Holis Thomas? He had a couple of good seasons as I recall. I think we could still pick somebody up before the preseason if the walkons and free agents don't pan out.
We've got Owens and Evans two deep threats. I just don't know if teams will respect it because i'm still not sold on Edwards deep passing ability. Say what you want about J.P., he could throw a nice deep ball. Edwards is acurate, but not for much more than 15yds. If Trent can't open it up it does'nt matter who we got. Defenses will not respect our passing game and will just man up on our receivers and dare Trent to make an accurate throw.
Yeah, I can't believe they would have this guy rated that high on their board given the talent out there and our positional needs. But look at the the Dolphins taking Pat White, What the f are they thinking? New England and Cincy are having awesome drafts in my opinion.
Yeah they identify them and then let them go as soon as their contract is up so we can keep drafting them high year after year. The list of high pick dbs is disgusting going back to nate odoms. This team needs to resign their players and end this crap. Greer had a great year, so let's let him go. Mcgee is good and his contract is up let's resign him, no let's let him go. As soon as Leodis get's good his contract will be up and we will not resign him.
No TE, No DE, No Tackle, This team is done. There having a fire sale so Ralph can move the team to Toronto, it's over. New England is schooling us, they are brilliant.
I like Unger a little better. I don't know why I just think Unger will be a sure thing also. I don't think we will take him at 28, but maybe in the second.
Brown looks good, but you got to wonder about the level of the competition he's going up against? The left tackles for Wake and Maryland just may not be very good either.
I just don't see that happening. A TE of his caliber will not fall past #20. There are not a lot of offensive weapons in the draft and a lot of teams in need of a TE. If the Bill's took him at 11 I would be a little disappointed. If they traded down to around 18-20 I would feel better.
Exactly, it's a team sport and me and my contract guy's need not apply. He signed the contract now go out and play. If you perform well the Billls will compensate you when the time comes. The Bill's were the team whom gave him a shot and converted him into a "Pro Bowl" caliber player. He stunk last year and was not worthy of a raise. He got what he wanted and the Bill's made out pretty good to get a first, fourth, and another pick for a undrafted FA. Fred Jackson also was a NFL Europe guy whom the Bill's groomed into a starting caliber back. In my opinion Fred should get a raise as he played his tail off last year unlike Jason Peters. I think Fred will get a new contract before opening day and we will have a three headed monster at the tailback position.
