Where will Drew Bledsoe play in 2007???
JimBob2232 replied to WVUFootball29's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This one is easy. Somewhere where they draft a rookie quarterback in round 1, Drew starts the season, and gets replaced after week six. Guesses: Oakland or Detroit. -
Could the Bills get the Jets 1st rounder
JimBob2232 replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dont know. 1) Willis seems to be the kind of player who "gets up" for certain games (i.e. the Jets). If we trade him, my guess is he shows up for games against us. 2) The Jets werent wiling to part with a 2nd rounder last year for Edge or Alexander... 3) I think id only do it if Peterson was available at #12, thus allowing us to take peterson and then someone else further down the board. -
Its only dumb if you also have a whalers logo tatooed on your lower back

Am I the only one who does not see a contradiction here?

Wow, what a thread. First of all, I dont think ANYONE here is saying Cal Jr. doesnt belong in the Hall. Some speculate without the streak, he wouldnt be in the hall, but the streak exists, and thus everyone here seems to be in agreement. On the Unanimous thing. You have to understand the guys voting for the hall. Or better yet, understand that you cant understand them. Baseball is a sport of tradition if nothing else. Some voters feel that if Ted Williams, Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Ty Cobb cant be a unanimous HOFer, certainally someone much more marginal (Ripken/Gwynn), shouldnt be either. And thus they choose not to vote ANY player in the first try. Others submitted blank ballots as a protest to the steroid era. Still others voted for Bobby Bonilla, Tony Fernandez and Jay Buhner...go figure. So, there is little to be angry about here (except for the 6 fools who voted for canseco). Ripken and Gwynn are both HOFers. Neither is worthy of being the first player unanimously selected. I think all is well today in the baseball world

Pete Carrol Interviewing for FISH Coach
JimBob2232 replied to bobgonzo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If he is going to leave, dont you think Arizona (especially with Linert) is the place he is going? -
We're in a decent position right now. I think we can take the best player available, whether that player is a DT, LB, OL, CB, TE, WR or even possibly DE or RB (if peterson falls). The only positions completely silly to think about addressing in the first round, IMO, are QB, FB, C, FS, SS, P & PK. Best player available. Even if it is Peterson. Lets see what FA brings.

OT: Steve Kragthorpe likely new Louisville coach
JimBob2232 replied to merlin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
AHHH thats who he was. I knew that name was familiar, then i heard tulsa and was confused how i knew him. Congrats Steve. -
Hmm... you guys hear willis had an illigitame child? Too bad the end zone isnt protected by a Goalie. Willis might actually be able to slip one in there.
-
Ugh...just saw the other thread...Believe it or not, I did a search for "willis" "mcgahee" "baby" and "paternity"..... Sorry all!
-
Third paternity suit in 2 years. http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/news/...ts/16401750.htm Side note: McGahee is the father of Willis McGahee IV, born Jan. 6, 2006....not sure how he could not be the father with that name!

I recall watching an athletic skills competition on NFLN last summer. Moorman competed against other NFL guys (like Chad Johnson, Dwight Freeney, I cant remember the guys, but they were all freaks of nature). Anyway, in the obstacle course, Moorman knew he wasnt strong enough to push the sled, so he just sprinted by it and took the mandated penalty, and won the competition. However, they decided to change the rules on the spot and he was disqualified for not completing all events. But it goes to show the kind of athlete he is. It was amazing.

Perhaps the correct answer here is that ALL DBs, regardless of how good you are, get beat, and somewhat regularly.
-
Yeah, i kept replaying that tryin to figure out what else parcells said in that moment. Coulndt make out all of it, but there was also something about "you do that again and.....?" and "you hear me?" Course, i couldnt make out the best part...
-
Yeah, with a stretch, he might not have scored, but picking up the first down was a reasonable goal (and would have had about the same result as a TD). Romo blew this game good. I bet Drew is smiling right now
-
a) Edgarrin James and Shawn Alexander couldnt fetch a 2nd round pick. Neither will Willis. b) Willis is crazy to hold out. He had a miserable season, and would not be negotiating from a position of strength. c) With Fred Taylor, Ahman Green and Warrick Dunn all potentially available this offseason, any indication willis intends to play hardball should be followed shortly thereafter with a public phone call to all 3 of their agents.

How bout this guy for to add some size to our WR corps?
JimBob2232 replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Josh Reed came out of LSU But as someone else said, he is looking like a first rounder right now. Its too early to project quite yet ...but I dont see him falling to us in the 2nd round at this point. -
Branch not in class, expected to enter the draft
JimBob2232 replied to JuanGuzman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Will probably be gone well before we pick, but the more of these guys that come out, the better the selection will be at #12 -
Men being told to sit down to urinate...
JimBob2232 replied to Tux of Borg's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I remember reading a study somewhere (probably goverment funded,....) regarding the toilet seat issue. The conclusion was that, to minimize the amount of times both sexes need to "touch" the toilet seat the best policy was to leave the toilet seat in the position it was in when you used it. If you put it up, leave it up. If you put it down, leave it down. Seemed to make sense... -
San Diego has a ZERO chance at making the bowl....
JimBob2232 replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not a math major (though I am an engineer), but it seems to me that any team who beats out 18 other teams to make the playoffs has SOME chance to win it all....now the bills on the other hand...THEY have a zero chance at making the bowl. -
eh, its business. And I have a feeling he wasnt fired by his uncle. Chances are he was fired by the owner. Or it was a "fire him or you're fired" situation. Look at it this way. a) you fire him and keep your job b) you dont fire him, and you both get fired by the owner. I think all will understand
