Somehow I don't find them very intimidating. The Bills need to NOT go away from the run just because WM is out. Look at Carolina, they're on their what, 4th RB?? And Goings is doing pretty damn good. Same think in Minn. They ended up with 3 good RB's due to injury. Shaud may not be a game breaker, but he is a decent back and the line is playing well. We still need to get 25 carries out of this game.

Even if Willis is physically able to play, they should put him at 3rd string anyway. Let Shaud play his hand against the pathetic 4'ers and let Willis heal. IF we aren't able to build a lead, bring in Willis to get us moving. BTW, the offense only has to play mistake free ball. Our defense is not going to give anything to San Fran. This should be a Cleveland type game for the defense.

At first glance I thought the GB game was the one the Jags had to lose, and thought they would win out after that. Now I'm not so sure. Houston is up and down, but when they are up, they can take the Jags out. Oakland should be an easier game, but again, they have been playing better ball lately. It is by no means a given that the Jags will beat them, especially in Oakland. While it may be to good to happen, it is certainly possible that all 3 teams lose this week giving Buffalo a chance to control their own destiny.

Before yesterday there was "no way" Jacksonville could beat Green Bay, IN Green Bay, with freezing weather. "No Way" just doesn't happen anymore. Speaking of which, there IS a way that the Bills lose next week in San Fran. I hope they come out playing hard again.

Good, not great. Last year he was a force on that team. This year, they are not able to rely on him to get first downs. While he has played good defense, he has also had the pleasure of playing the Browns.

I disagree on defense. Rudi Johnson is proving himself to be a one year wonder. Decent back, but nothing special. Buffalo's fron 7 should have no problem containing him. I do not think they should put 8 in the box. Leave the safeties in the backfield to help out the corners. If they are free to roam around back there, they should be able to get the picks. Also, I don't think it's a good idea to get tricky and try to "confuse" Kitna. This is not some young punk coming in for his first start. He is a veteran in this league. We would have had bettter luck trying to trick Palmer. I think we only use LB blitzes for most of the game. Sure, throw in a safety or CB blitz a couple of times to change things up, but more or less just play straight up defense. It's very simple, our D is better than their O. Play the game, don't get tricky, and let our guys take care of things.

The point is, Nugent isn't just an upgrade, he is a damn good kicker. He would be one of the best in the league. I"m not saying he would make a 50 plus yard kick every time he tries, but he would get many of them.
