Bills fan response chart to free agency
BuffOrange replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh, so a fan on a message board doesn't effect team performance. Who knew? "If it doesn't improve the team then don't bother posting" - that's a great philosophy, except that then message boards wouldn't exist. Has your ranting about ranting changed anything? I actually agree that the current regime gets less of a benefit of the doubt than say, John Butler did due to the team sucking for so long and maybe that's unfair. But hey that's life. I personally don't think drafting a RB with his first pick and re-signing Chris freaking Kelsay to a big contract is a good start to the Nix/Gailey era, but nobody is stopping them from proving us wrong. I don't know, because they love the Bills? That would seem to be the only rational explanation. Unless you seriously believe people here just enjoy pretending to be fans of the worst franchises in sports (the KC Royals, the LA Clippers, etc)... -

+1. The worst part of these hilarious satirical threads which if I may add have been done before a billions times (sorry, but you're not clever or funny enough to be a writer for the Simpsons) is the gross generalizations. As if on a board of however many thousands of posters, everyone is either an optimist or a pessimist across the board...nobody is capable of offering an objective opinion on each transaction independent of others. I would challenge OP and others that if you have noticed a specific poster(s) blatantly contradict themselves just because they somehow get off on criticizing their favorite team, then go ahead and quote them and call them out. But these "Look at me, I'm smarter than you" tough guy schtick hiding behind a computer is flat out pathetic. -
I don't completely disagree but that is why now is the worst time to trade him. Getting a 4th round pick for a guy coming off his worst season who still has big play ability would be the ultimate 'Sell Low'...no thanks.

Bills interested in OT Tyson Clabo
BuffOrange replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I mean this is fairly standard practice for ESPN. Remember Mortenson backpedaling on "Mike Shannahan to the Chiefs!"? I can only assume most don't given that he still has a job. Tough to trust a blog to be accurate when the worldwide leader makes as many false reports as they do. -

Pretty sure Raiders players don't actually live in Oakland, but great rant nonetheless - I've said the same thing many times not quite as eloquently. We don't have to pretend like WNY is as attractive as South Beach. But this inferiority complex we have is ridiculous. -

The "miserable fans hate life and are never happy" joke/schtick works better when the team hasn't sucked for 11 years. Just FYI. -
They don't. Nobody expects to hear "we're looking to pick up Zack Miller but we're only going to pay him $X which may not be enough to outbid the Chiefs". What is expected from virtually every competitive organization ever however, is a generic blurb like "we'll keep our options open and explore every possible avenue to improve our football team if we can". This was a staple of the Donahoe era which - say what you will about his draft choices and taste in QB's (and there's a lot of negative things to be said there) - at least translated into some impact FA acquisitions. It is a bit disappointing to hear that we're apparently content with what we have. Maybe/hopefully it's just lip service and it's not the end of the world, but for now it's all there is to talk about and it's not an encouraging thing to ear.

Indeed, how could I forget this? Thanks for setting the record straight.

Oh please tell me this is a joke. Andre Reed was hurt for the better part of '95, which made Kelly's primary target Billy freaking Brooks in his "AFC OPY candidate" year. But his decline in '96 was the fault of a rookie WR who obviously was never supposed to start after they signed Quinn Early in FA? That's brilliant.

Seriously. The guy put up with putrid QB & OL play with the utmost class for the better part of a decade. But oh no I'll never forgive him for that crucial '05 Miami game - we could've won 7 whole games that year if not for that meltdown!

NFL Players are the real problem here
BuffOrange replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Huh? -
I'll tell you what will happen with the OL. It will be average or maybe a little worse. Some games it will suck and be justifiably criticized. Some games it will be average but receive praise because the QB plays well. And some games it will be average and be ripped to shreds because the QB does not play well. For further details read last year's threads.

Right, I'm sure this is why the sponsors pulled out - because they disagree with some of his opinions. Not because he is a full-fledged mouth-breather whose jersey # exceeds his IQ. And it's not like sponsors haven't pulled out of a billion other deals for less stupid comments. And how has he "lost the right to express opinions"? He wasn't arrested. I guess Bill Maher should've sued the ABC sponsors that got him kicked off the air post 9/11. Lol @ any chance of this pathetic suit holding up. Hope to see this pile of trash flipping burgers soon.

Bills vs Giants in The Meadowlands

Yah no idea what meathead is talking about. Your average Giants fan who goes to the games has been a season tix holder for 25 yrs and despises night games because he's really old. -

1,696 > 32, as long as you don't count the 32's most prized asset. Good point. I'm just going to go ahead & assume (or at least hope) that this is a crayonz-esque level. -
I like it just fine. In years past it was basically full of QQ vs. AK all-in's preflop and watching the board run out. You get a better context of what's going on at the table when 95% of the hands are edited out.

Anybody watching women's world cup?
BuffOrange replied to Cugalabanza's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Congratulations to Japan. Shannon Box and Carlie Lloyd, the co-Least Valuable Players in regular time, cap it off with epic chokejobs on their PK's. How they were still in the game at that point is baffling. Our defense was obviously comically bad in front of our net. Rapinoe otoh was very good again. On the plus side, maybe I have a chance with Alex Morgan now? -
If Poz leaves, will you be upset??

Good to hear from you Mrs. Poz. As a real fan who watches every game, what's it like sitting next to Jaworski in the film room every week breaking down every Saints/Bears/Packers game? -

On another note I think Orchard Park HS would crush the Bills. They're just so much more clutch. -
If you could have exactly five Pro Bowl players . . .

James Harrison... WHAT?!?!?!?!?!

This is the same moron who once said "the only reason Obama invited us to the White House is cause we won the SB"... Don't know why anyone is surprised. -

One is good and the other is not. Otherwise good comparison. -

Women's goalkeeping is on the whole awful. Particularly the French one - other than that they were probably the better team. -

When I searched him on youtube a few months ago I just found him recycling the same NYG radio announcer joke 1,100 times (which could've been applied amazingly well to Van Miller as well)... I did enjoy him on Stern though and of course the infamous Joe Buck debacle.
