Week 14, Bills v. Rams, PREDICT THE SCORE!
zow2 replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills 33 Rams 20 -
I like the Bills this week, I think they will be dialed in and it should be a friendly crowd with a huge Buffalo following. One of the gambling experts on ESPN this morning thinks the Rams will be much tougher in this game than the public is giving them credit for. I can't get past the fact that Miami's defense made Stafford and that offense look terrible just a few weeks ago in a primetime game.

I don't know, a TV talking head said by analytics...going for the 4th down conversion over a FG for the lead gave Detroit a Lesser chance to win. But watching it, you knew Campbell was going for the sure thing, walk off FG.
-
I saw Liberty already has 8 players to the transfer portal including their starting QB and two Oline starters.
-
I think Campbell is too aggressive but hey, it worked out tonight.
-
How does Detroit NOT get into FG range at the end? Might need a GB forced turnover as the only hope.
-
It feels like GB has not done much on offense yet they have 28 points ?!
-
they are so hard to stop when Goff is throwing pinpoint passes down there.
-
You don’t go for it on 4th down there. You play traditional football that is time tested over decades. The risk reward with a small lead is not worth it.
-
Well if Detroit is as good as everyone thinks they are, the Lions should come down the field and take the lead back right away.

Couple of real nice throws by Love

Love, what r u doing on the little goal line pass?!? yeah that DPI in the end zone was so blatant
-
This Aaron Glenn must be a great Defensive Coordinator. Detroit’s D always looks prepared even though everyone says they are missing great players and should be getting gashed. Maybe GB gets it rolling soon?
-
Based on the push of that Detroit Olinemen, seemed like he flopped
-
Protect the ball Watson!
-
Yeah i picked up Tua off the scrap heap a few weeks ago and i havent looked back since. They got pushed to the brink by a not so great Bears team. They can be beaten, but not often
-
As a Love fantasy football owner this year, he’s been hurt a lot and when he’s played he’s been disappointing. Kinda like Stroud, his reputation is greater than reality right now. They both can get it together but it’s getting late in the season. Green Bay likes to run more than pass and they got away from it on that drive.

Goff has time in the pocket and he’s deadly accurate.

I think the Ravens would crumble without Lamar, even as well as Henry has played. But that just shows how vitally important the QB is. On the other hand, if Saquon and Henry get injured I think the Eagles and Ravens are still good teams. Definitely not AS good, but Lamar and Hurts would still have solid weapons and they would have other RB's step up. If any of the big name QB's get injured, those teams are toast.
-
Saquon's situation will be interesting. 4 of their 5 games left are against the bottom ranked rushing defense teams. and honestly, home games vs Carolina, Dallas and NYG should not be close if Philly continues to play as a top ranked defense. If the Eagles get healthy leads, would they continue to run Saquon and risk injury or use some of the backups? It would be outrageous if he gets injured chasing a record, since his health is paramount to securing a Lombardi trophy for the Eagles. We've seen in a few games this year Allen being pulled very early.. can you imagine the accrued Allen stats being left on the table due to being pulled with 12 minutes to go the other night? The Bills had at least 2 more possessions in that game and if it was a relatively close game they would have moved the rock. I think Josh came out of the game or shut down his passing and running very early, vs Miami (1st game), Jax, Tenn, Sea and SF. It makes sense why last season when the Bills fought to the 11th hour in the final game to get in, Allen had 44 TD's and offensive stats were great, while Lamar only had 29 total TD's and 600 fewer yards passing.

I'll be happy for the Lions and their fans as long as they aren't playing the Bills of course. I think I used up my "I pray they don't win a SB before Buffalo" when the LA Rams came back and beat the Bengals. I do not want the City of Cincinnati to win the Bowl before us, and they haven't yet but came darn close.
-
I would be very surprised on the NFC side if the Super Bowl rep is not Detroit or Philadelphia. I mean Green Bay could win later tonight but in January I'm not a believer in GB, Minn or anyone from the NFC West and South. Obviously we desperately want the Bills to be the AFC rep, but realistically it could be any of KC, Baltimore or even Pittsburgh. I'm saying no way for Houston, LAC and Denver.
-
I agree the homefield is not a lock in the playoffs at all. I do really like the angle of Denver and Payton beating them last season. McDermott is great in those get them back type games. He would use that loss all week as motivation even though it happened last season. Just like I hope we play Houston and Baltimore. I think we have the intangible edge, of being really hard to beat a good team twice in a season. I think KC gets taken out in round 1 and we don't play them.
-
Is Emmanuel Forbes gonna play? He’s the skinniest guy in the NFL but don’t let the legs fool you, he can run like the wind. But i’d like to see him come up in the box and take on Derrick Henry running downhill. That would be entertainment.
-
I wouldn't either. But of the first round matchups I'd take Denver over anyone else. I respect Nix but feel McD and staff are usually pretty good against rookie QB's and in Bufalo it would be nuts. Plus Nix feels like a bit of a gunslinger, some high risk, high reward passes mixed in that could be picked. The Chargers on the other hand just seem boring under Harbaugh BUT every game is close. So you know it would be very difficult to pull away, and Herbert is better than Nix at this moment in their careers. They play good D and if they force a turnover the opponent is in trouble.
