  1. I just want to compliment you on your post...I don't agree with it, I just like that you are willing to approach the season with an open mind.

Yep, the season tickets are paid in full. I'd better have an open mind! Like everyone else, I'm hoping upon hope that he IS the guy. This could be the most important couple years in team history. The Bills competiveness drives late season attendance and TV ratings and success on those fronts will increase their viability to stay put. A lot of it hinders on the play of the QB.

  2. I'm on the fence about EJ but leaning towards the "he's not the guy" side. I can't get past the Pittsburgh and Tampa games which were just dreadful. People point to the Carolina game but i can't shake the 4th Qtr INT and strip sack that luckily the D bailed him out on. Yes he dinked and dunked downfield and Stevie drew a big PI penalty to help win it. I'm OK with giving him year 2 because we'll never know unless he gets this year. Right now i see basically a poor man's Jason Campbell not the next great franchise QB.

  3. After reading this thread it's obvious many of you know very little about Mr. Bon Jovi. Ever see him interviewed? He's a very bright, articulate and impressive guy. Not saying he should be the one or that he even has a great chance at becoming the next owner, but he should be taken seriously.

If Bon Jovi buys the Bills and relocates them, he would be a wanted man here "Dead or Alive". This is a fact! In all seriousness though, NFL teams just don't come available on the market like this too often. Even if Mr. Bon Jovi goes through the process and doesn't get it, he may simply benefit down the road from being involved and invested in this. I still think there are enough billionaires with desires to keep the team in WNY that we are safe.

This sounds like a positive thing. It means they're not gonna wait around 3-5 years before deciding on what needs to be done with infrastructure to keep the team viable here. Obviously Brandon has planned for this moment well in advance to announce this today.

In the meantime, let's hope the deep-pocketed friends of the Bills are working on their financing groups or finalizing their already existing plans to make a proposal to buy the team....(whenever the "for sale" sign is officially hung).

  5. Not surprising at all. It's standard practice among Buffalo's "two-percent" class that Cleveland or New York are where you go for cancer treatment.

I think what he might have meant was surprised Jim didn't go to Roswell the first time around. I believe he went to ECMC for the surgery...but maybe he conferred with other experts in WNY. Who knows..

  6. I have a loved one who has been dealing with cancer for over 2 years now. Started near the scalp. Chemo and radiation has held it at bay so far. They were worried about it getting into the brain or other vital organs but so far she's beating it. Hopefully Jimbo can beat his cancer. He's still relatively young in the grand scheme of things and that should help.

  7. Thank you Ralph! when you think of his longevity it's amazing. My parents weren't even married when Ralph's Buffalo Bills suited up for their first game. We celebrated my folks 50th wedding anniversary a couple yrs ago. just crazy.

  8. Note the announcement says only boneless wings (aka tenders) will be sold to the regular folks. Bone-in wings will only be sold in the clubs. Obviously the mess caused by folks throwing chicken bones around RWS is a concern.

Just the thought of angry Bills fans throwing already chewed chicken bones at opposing players and refs is hilarious.

  9. Yeah it's a lock they will make more money on New England and Green Bay, and they will have to cut prices for Minny and San Diego. I think it's a good strategy to sell out games here. Now they won't piss off season ticket holders by holding fire sales on late season ticket inventory.

Still the cheapest NFL season tickets you can find anywhere and I'm happy to pay for them and the extra home game.

  10. If he were to fall to #9, I would take Mack in a heartbeat. It's not even a question that he will be a productive NFL player..it's just a matter if he will be "great"? or very good?

In some ridiculous logic, I kinda' hope he gets drafted before the Bills pick. That way there's no chance of the Bills passing on Mack (which would impact my fandom of the Bills organization very negatively).

  11. As a comparison, i also own season tickets for another NFL team and i got that renewal notice on Feb. 4th, and already paid for them. Clearly something is going on since I would normally have the Bills invoice well before now. I'm hoping this Toronto series has been shelved. It's been a failure from every aspect you can measure (except that payment to the Buffalo Bills).

  12. overdorf/littman are the 2 i have been suspecting of real being behind a lot of the disastrous last 14 years. they are the main consistent factor. i mean how can the GM not be in charge of contract negotiations?

I support Marrone and Whaley in all of this. Obviously what the organizations has done in the past hasn't worked. If they want new and modern methods in place then there's a reason. As for Overdorf, I knew him in the past and he can be an arrogant prick sometimes. Doesn't surprise me if he's rubbing the "new guys" the wrong way over there.

  13. I think Mack will be legit in the NFL. You can't avoid LB's in the NFL like you can in college. He will cause havoc rushing the QB and stripping guys from behind, and getting plenty of tackles in between. I'd take Mack if he's there...or a big WR.
