  1. When do we get Avon Barksdale? Our OL needs to be ruthless. Dude could put on some weight though.
  2. If Grantland did one of their trade value rankings, he'd have to be up or near the top.
  3. I know this is risky, because injuries can happen in the NFL, but I would give up 200 with 100 guaranteed plus 3 #1s and a couple #2s for Luck.
  4. And there you have it: the worst rationale for cruelty. Look, kids need some failure in their lives, they need something to "kick their ass" sometimes - figuratively. They probably need to learn that if they strike someone out there in the world, that they can expect to be struck back. But I am not sure what abusing them to the point that they bleed in their private parts is teaching them, other than that this is a way to treat people much smaller and weaker than you. The "I turned out OK" excuse is a way to refuse to come to terms with abuse, but it's not a way to actually confront it.
  5. I think it would have to be centered around Dareus and another young and talented player plus picks. You are talking about a playoff caliber performer at the most important position in the league. It would have to be a trade that hurts.
  6. I guess I am reading your posts as very much siding with AP over the Vikings. I think both parties have acted stupidly, but I feel that Peterson's actions are more reprehensible, and the Vikes' are borne of incompetence and a bit of greed during a PR fiasco.
  7. The sympathy for AP is hilarious and it comes from most of the usual contrarians aboard the good ship TBD. The fact is, his agent can suck it - he negotiated the contract with the Vikings and if he doesn't like it, he should fire himself. AP is personally responsible for what he did to one of his 7 kids, and if he doesn't like how it's played out, maybe he shouldn't have done it in the first place. The Vikings and the NFL may have acted stupidly, but they hold all the cards here as the employer of someone in the public eye who at best committed an act of misconduct, if he didn't break the law. This "act first, play the victim later" stuff is a complete joke, and right now this is the product of the slimiest kind of agent. Fans hate Eugene Parker but Ben Dogra is making him look like a saint.
  8. This seems so unlikely, but I would basically move heaven and earth to get him if he were available. Wouldn't trade Sammy but whom else would you not make available?
  9. This thread has been amazing, if for nothing other than all the RG3 images.
  10. That could well be, and it also could be that the two are not mutually exclusive. RGIII's relationship with Snyder is not conducive to a positive player-coach dynamic.
  11. Chris Williams only if we get some other people who can play guard. Otherwise I don't really see the incentive in cutting him before camp cuts. Nicely done.
  12. He was excellent. He can no longer rely on his athleticism, though, he's a major injury risk, his mechanics are garbage, and he's becoming a coach-killer. Sorry if it's not obvious to the rest of us to bet on that.
  13. Agreed. As I said, a big ask. It's make-or-break at this point. Either he settles into becoming a adequate NFL backup or he takes the next step.
  14. That said, EJ can sell the play action really well, which could work well with an attack of Shady, Fred and Boobie, and Harvin as a running threat too. If he can just complete 3-4 more passes per game - a big ask - it could pay dividends all around the offense.
