  1. I know a couple of Bears fans. From what some are saying they have the ammo to go up and get CJ if he is still on the board at #3. Grossman is not as hated as some think in Bears nation. They make big time excuses for him and most fans that I know are willing to give him one more full season to see if he can make the jump. Some are saying the Bears may stay put and draft Okoye because Tommie Harris (another Rosenhouse player) will be a FA at the end of the season and the Bears can be pretty cheap with there players. So taking Okoye could be the writing on the wall for Harris even though all Bears fans want him back. Patrick Willis is also a name being thrown around Chicago right now. Its a very good chance he will be gone with the Bears pick. He will not be on the board for Buffalo. So fans better be prepared with that and stop with these Willis posts. Peterson will not be drafted by the Bears. They love Benson and the other Adrian Peterson that is already on there team is a good second option whom plays good special teams.
  2. Nice interview. Confident but no cocky. Very well spoken.
  3. I'm going out on a limb. The Eagles third would be close to a 4th rounder. I'm going with a 3rd round conditional pick.
  4. Its Peterson.........not Petterson. Sorry it has bothered me for the past week now. Its the second time he has posted a thread title with that spelling. Carry on.
  5. Boy you must have missed Willis running his mouth saying that he couldn't wait to get out of Buffalo. Willis wasn't going to play another down with the Bills, Fletcher and Clements got payed WAY more than they are worth. Spikes I may see the point there. But again....it sounds to me that Takeo himself wants to move on since Buffalo GAVE HIM PERMISSION to seek out a trade. I don't see anything wrong with what the Bills are doing. None whatsoever.
  6. I will argue to death with anyone that thinks that LB and especially CB are the most serious needs. I love A-train but besides him we have nothing. We are not going cornerback in the first two rounds. We may have our starting LB unit already on this team whether people like it or not. RB is the main concern on this team. Landing a potential 1500 yard rusher would be huge. Cover 2 LBs do not need to be power house stars.
  7. How much you guys want to bet that we end up taking Ted Ginn Jr. Seriously. With all this talk about Lynch and Willis on the board. Its not going to happen lol. Look at last year. Talks about Bunkley and Ngata. Nope. We passed on both. This years wild card pick by the Bills: Ted Ginn Jr. Its Peterson with one "t" by the way. Just giving you crap.
  8. Can't trade down unless you have a willing partner and not unless the trade benefits both teams. You guys make it sound like trading down is the easiest thing to do. Now I usually don't agree with Kiper all the time but to say that Branch will be a bust because he isn't on Kipers top 25 list is kind of funny lol. I'm not a fan of Branch but I'm not going to call him a bust already when he hasn't even played a down.
  9. Go look up Emmits 40 time...... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/8480589 Not saying that Tony Hunt is Emmitt by any means. But it does show that this combine stuff is not the tell all story of how a football player will perform. Boldin ran a 4.72 and he didn't have problems. It was just his time. .
  10. Again these pro-days and combines don't show me a darn thing. How does the player perform on the football field when they have all these bodies flying round. Anquon Boldin ran a 4.7 I think and dropped big time because of it. Look where he is now? Having a very nice career in Arizona. Workout warriors don't impress me. A big reason why I don't want no part of Chris Henry from Arizona. Give me a football player anyday.
  11. Yep very serious.............. Stephen Jackson: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/492963 Jones-Drew: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/409879 Bush: http://www.nfl.com/players/playerpage/407605 Stats don't tell the whole story but both Drew and Jackson were better players that I saw this year. I only was able to watch a couple Saints games. Bush was alright. He had his moments. But he is still being fed as one of the best backs and he wasn't even the best rookie back this year. So why are you done with this conversation? You really think that Jackson is not as good as Bush? Jackson didn't get crap for respect this year. He may very well be the best back in the NFL not named LT right now.
  12. I just can't stand it when people say things like Bush is the exception, blah blah blah. Stephen Jackson was a machine last year. Maybe Bush will turn out to be as good. But I would take Jones-Drew and Jackson over Reggie anyday. Its all media hype. Lendale has been a big turd so far though. Too pudgy. I heard that Mawaii called him out in the Tennessee papers and told the media that he has to get in shape.
  13. I think Anderson gets a bad rap. By no means is he a great player. But he did make some nice plays last season. Its not like he is getting payed huge dollars. He knows the system and he is cheap. Again DT can be a hard position to get used to in the NFL. Even Kyle Williams struggled at times. Its not like Tim is out starting DT right now.
  14. But to call him the second coming of Willis is far from the truth Dr. Going by what his teamates say Lynch is very selfless. We need more of that on this team. Not saying that Lynch is going to be Thurman but Thomas also played his entire life in warm weather before heading to Buffalo. Thats where all this pre-draft interviews and such all come into play. I trust that Marv and company will get all the info that they need to make the right choice. Whether its Lynch or not I don't know. But I do see RB as a place where I want to see more than 1100 yards out of my rushers.
  15. I like the talk about Amobi but lets all remember one thing. DT is one of the toughest positions to come in and make a difference right away. It can take three years or so. Thats why I think we go else where because we need help right now. That and McCargo may turn out to be a stud.
  16. Well I'm glad there just personal opinions because I love Lynchs attitude. He is a team first guy that is always giving credit to others. Its genuine as well. He is nothing like McGahee. Its also interesting that Thurman came out and said that he thinks Marv ended the Willis Era because Marv and others on the team may have been sick of his attitude. Willis never gave credit when credit was due. To say that Lynch is another warm weathered player that doesn't care is stereotyping if you ask me. I have watched the kid compete ever since he was a freshman and I love the way he handles himself on that football field with his teamates. His teamates always are praising Lynch on that he never talks about himself. But always about the team. Sound like Willis to you? I think not. JP was a warm weathered person as well. I think JP wants to be here. You do know that Irons is not the smartest player and that Lynch actually is a very smart person.
  17. Agreed. Now if the Bills can get more info on this abuse charged that was dropped and get the word on what happened than don't be shocked if Marv does take a flyer on him. The kid is a very good all around back that can do some damage.
  18. I agree I love listening to his press conferences. The kid really wants to be here and is really starting to look like the leader of this team. He exudes confidence if you will.
  19. To me that player is Michael Bush. Why is Lynch the second coming of Willis? Because he talks funny and drove a cart around lol. Because there running styles are nothing alike. But Bush has the same size/style as Willis and has leg problems. To me taking Bush in the 2nd or 3rd is the bigger risk.
  20. Not saying that Marv will. I'm just saying that I wouldn't mind it and I like him as a football player.
  21. First...........I also want to say that Stephen Jackson came from the Pac-10 just recently as well. Forget Reggie Bush. Jackson should be the standard. For the record. I like Lynch at #12. Second......people put way too much stock in combine/pro-day results and 40 times. Is Lynch a football player on the field? Heck yes.
  22. I as well. When I was just a wee-lad and Norwood missed that kick I cried myself to sleep that night. It was very heartbreaking. I thought for sure he was going to nail it. I will never forget that game.
  23. Just thinking about it and reading your post brings a HUGE smile to my face. I'm not a drinker or partier anymore but I know one thing is for sure. I would be the happiest man alive and that smile would not leave my face for a long time. Especially going through those Super Bowl years as a young kid. That team just was everything to me. Now that I'm 27 years old I hope those same memories can be passed onto my 8 year old son. Except this time with a victory.
  24. Yeah but he wasn't healthy enough to run at the combine. Reminds me too much of Willis all the way around. Give me a healthy back that is ready to compete right now. Bush is too darn big to be a great back. Thats what were going for here......someone that can be great.
