  1. Its even more hilarous for the rest of his post that makes absolutely no sense.
  2. I agree about a budget. I'm just saying lets not jump the gun that Turner is going to break the bank lol. Its crazy to think that. He could end up with a contract equal to the #12 overall pick and maybe even less. We do not know.
  3. To be fair the last time A-train grabbed that 1,000 season is when he was a starter. So one could say that A-train could be a 1,000 yard back again if he was a starter.
  4. He lasted last season and really played well.
  5. Chances are ESPN wouldn't endorse the move. ESPN rides the big cities jock straps. Buffalo usually doesn't get the respect. You and I both know that. Do I care? No. But to assume that ESPN would love this move is just guessing at this point. Lynch or Peterson would probably be more appealing to fans that don't know much. Draft picks can do that to the casual fan.
  6. I'm all for keeping the cap number down and all. But if Marv doesn't want Turner because he could get a back cheaper in the draft than thats just stupid. If you like a player, you grab him up and pay him what you think is fair. You don't go another route just because its cheaper. Keeping the cap in check is fine and dandy but if Marv thinks that Turner can put this team into the playoffs with Lee and JP than you go and get him. Especially if he can be had for one of Baltimores third round picks that we received. We still don't even know if Turner will command a 30 mill contract. For all we know the contract numbers would end up being similar to a #12 overall pick. Lets not jump the gun here with how much he would cost.
  7. I love Turner but if Marv grabs him I don't see Turner as a flashy pickup that will put butts in the seats. Your average fan has never probably heard of him. I think its a move that tremendously helps your ball club and aids in JP and Lees careers. Flashy would be trying to grab AP by moving up with the draft board.
  8. Agreed. Man people just like to pull crap from there butts sometimes. Half the people that don't want Turner haven't even seen him play. I'm not talking video clips on the net either. I mean actually watch the guy play and see what energy he brings when he comes into a game.
  9. So running for 500 yards and averaging over 6 yards per carry behind LT is unproven? Some of those yards coming off of games against the Ravens and Steelers. Not in my humbled opinion. Those are results when being called upon.
  10. Dumbest post I have ever read. What guy in the draft has starter experience in the NFL? Turner was a starter and one of the best in college football. To me Turner edges them out because he has played in the NFl. He has shown production when he has come in. NOT AGAINST BACKUP PLAYERS EITHER. Three, he has played behind the best back in the NFL and still produced over 500 yards rushing and some scores.
  11. I never got one. I graduated in '97 and they always looked stupid and 80ish to me. To each is own. The only ring I wear is my wedding ring. The Varsity jacket comment above got a nice chuckle out of me. How true is that with some people.
  12. I disagree. Reed would be grabbed up pretty fast. He really played well for us last year. People need to forget about Reeds past years where he had the case of the dropsies. He was rock solid and snagged some big third down grabs last year. To me he is a perfect slot receiver. Not too mention he probably is the best person on the team as far as breaking tackles is concerned.
  13. I agree. But rarely do WRs make a huge impact there first year. But for the future Meachem would be a nice addition. The Colstons and Mosses are few that can come in and run routes like the best of them. It takes time to adjust. I like Meachem because his positives are that he is fast and has decent size. The biggest thing is that he takes good position with his body to bring in passes in traffic and he grabs balls with his hands, not his body. He really reminds me of a young Moulds.
  14. Maybe but I dunno. I think Poz and Willis are just like Bunkley and Ngata last year. Willis would fit the cover 2 backer mold but I don't think he will be there. Poz is not a cover 2 backer IMO. He needs to be fast and I'm not sure if Poz will fit the bill. The work ethic is there but he Marv may see him as another injury prone Spikes. But you could be right.
  15. If they want Meachem they better take him at 12. Because he won't be there if you trade back to far. Trading back doesn't happen often. YOu need to have partners that are willing. Why not just stay put and take the player that you really want? All this trading back talk is crazy. Its easier said than done.
  16. Actually he may be on to something. Marv really likes Robert Meachem and the Bills have had some private meetings with him. Meachem is sloted to go anywhere from #8-#15 as the second wideout off the board. To me either Ginn or Meachem will be the Bills dark horse pick.
  17. Not balls ya moron!!!! Brady is going to have two more kids with two different women!!! Man lol.
  18. Right now we do not know that at all. They have some serious QB issues right now. They know what they have with the kid from ASU. CJ is a possibility but drafting Russell is the favorite right now. Even though I don't agree with it.
  19. Yes that is a good amount of the reason why they let Travis walk. But what doesn't make sense is that Turner is going to command more than what Travis was going to be due. I think it was an 8 million dollar bonus for Henry if he was on the roster this year. Not sure to be exact. Its not just interest being drawn up by AJ either. KFFL and others have reported that Turner was in Tennessee yesterday for a visit.
  20. Bush? Yep lets take anothe flyer on a back with leg problems. The fascination with Bush has to stop. Jerome Bettis was a big boy too that ran hard but there are not too many big backs that are major players in this league. TJ Duckett was a darn good big back in school as well. But he is nothing but a short yardage back. Bush can't even run right now because of the second surgery he just had. I just wish people would stop spitting out names just because they have heard of him. NO WAY!
  21. Thats great and all. But how does he play on the field. Were not recruiting track stars here. The combine is not the tell all of how a player is going to play on the field. Kevin Everett has pretty good speed as well. But has had a hard time grasping the offense and the NFL game. Size and speed are nothing without the ability to play football on the field.
  22. I was thinking that he would really fit in well there with Al Davis and the love of the deep ball. BUT..........if the Raiders plan on taking Jamarcus Russell I don't think Drew will want to be there either. Remember Drew wanted to the cowboys to release him not the other way around. Drew really wants a shot at a starting gig somewhere. I just don't see any suitors really that have a huge need for starter right away. I said Cleveland earlier but Frye still could be an option there and they could take Brady Quinn. I think Drew just needs to face the facts. An older QB like him with limited mobility are just not a hot commodity right now. He has the arm. But the head and feet just are not there anymore.
  23. I'm not a big Jones fan and I wouldn't want to trade for him. BUT and I mean BUT, his lack of TDs does not mean he can not score or have a nose for the endzone. Marion Barber was there inside the 20 back. When Julius or Romor put the team down in the redzone. Jones came out. So unless Jones scored from outside the 20 he rarely received any scores near the goaline.
