That's 1/227 of what he paid Shawn Merriman.

I know it's tempting to think this, but we do this every year. Remember New England last year? Or Dallas in 2007? This team always plays hard, always out-efforts more talented teams, and always finds a new and imaginative way to come up short.
-
I'm wondering how many people would take that deal? Obviously Luck is the wild card (no pun intended, ?), but Vick clearly can run an NFL offense. And if Chan can make Slash, Slash, one can only wonder what he could do with Vick.
A little OT, but what's the big deal with Slash? He kind of sucked. He has a 70.7 career rating and seven more INTs than TDs for his career.
And the one year he didn't suck was 2001 - when he had Mike Mularkey as his offensive coordinator and Tom Clements as his QB coach.
-
Any word on when it will be back up?

You need a passport to go to Canada
Exactly.

Wow, that's not much of a difference.

I've been saying all along that the Chargers should go to L.A. The Chargers started in L.A. back when the AFL was formed! Charger fans can drive 90 minutes to go to games. Call them the SoCal Chargers. Make them a regional team ala New England. And if SD fans have their feelings get hurt, too frickin' bad. Go to the beach or where ever SD'ers go when the flaunt how great their city is. You can still follow your team if you are such great fans.

How is this different than Toronto?

Pretty impressive. Even Jesus only rose from the dead once.

The Problem is both articles have the same source. Chris Mortenson says it won't effect the 2011 draft even though the first line of teh article says that Roger Godell says that 2011 would be the first draft that would possibly be effected. I've seen the Mort Report's info before, and usually he's good but this is a little bit bigger than asking agents and inside sources what they think. This is a negotiation that is in process.
I still don't see what has changed since the Mort report.
And Goodell doesn't contradict him.

That article is almost a year old. There's no way the 2011 rookies sign contracts with no CBA in place. plain and simple. And, if they dont sign until a new CBA is in place, then they'll be under a rookie wage scale that will be implemented with the new CBA.
The second article is less than a month old. And what, specifically, has changed since those articles were written?
-
There will not be another HUGE rookie contract. The CBA is voided after this season and the next draft class will fall under the new CBA which will contain a rookie wage scale with salaries getting completely out of hand. I'm thinking the limit will be set @ about $20-$25 million guaranteed for #1 overall selections. It's still alot of money, but not the $50 million Bradford got.
This is a question I'd need a link for. Not calling you a liar but I've discussed this multiple times and never found out the exact answer...

Remember that the top pick goes to the team with the easiest schedule, not the hardest. Go Dallas, Go Carolina!
Yup, and go their opponents!
-
And Nate Clements.
And Willis McGahee, with the Ravens.
But what were you saying?
-
Buffalo: 74-55
Carolina: 74-56
Dallas: 73-57
These records include all opponents on the schedule, not just the ones played so far.
Point is, one Bills win will not necessarily cost the team a shot at the top pick, even if Carolina loses out.
-
Whitner can void the final year of his contract.
-
Do you really care?
truly another point of view
-
Buddy has already gone on record as saying that he really likes Luck.
No he hasn't. No GM would ever talk about a college player, let alone an underclassman, during the season.
-
The only thing that worries me is Carolina outdoing us in losing football games and snagging him (they wouldn't right, not with Jimmy Claussen being taken in the 2nd just last year?) I know there's still a lot to be determined, but I've got my fingers crossed for good Luck.
My biggest worry in the scenario. I don't think they win another game this year.

Mort and Schefter were the two who picked the Bills over the Fish.

Now I don’t doubt Jauron wanting Maybin at all, but I do doubt the notion that Modrak was against selecting Maybin. Modrak may have had Cushing as BPA, but I bet he had Maybin as 2nd best BPA – a pick the staff has tried desperately to distance themselves from. There is no way that the scouting staff was trumped completely for the opinion of a coach everyone knew wouldn’t last another year or 2, Jauron defiantly had some backing from eh scouting staff in that draft room.
I think this is more-or-less true, but I don't see that fitting either answer of your poll question.

1995 wildcard round: Buffalo 37, Miami 22.

So how did Gailey not see this initially? I still don't understand that.

I keep hearing this from people....when exactly are you projecting these bad days to be? He has not lost a game battle yet this year and just took one of the best pass rushers in the league out of this game.....Suggs is a BEAST and he didn't get anywhere near Fitz all day.
I could live with this kind of play if this is as good as he got....if he gets better then he should be in the pro bowl.
I thought he played poorly against GB, but I'm not really disagreeing with you. I think he will continue to get better.
-
3) I was looking forward to this comment the most.....Demetrius Bell played well today. I always thought he got too much slack on this board, but today he played his position quite well. I focused on him specifically on every single play, and he held up. He did his job, and if he can improve (which he will need to), he will give us the opportunity to go QB and RT with early picks, which is how teams win football games. In any event, I have been VERY tough on Bell, and he did a great job today. I will continue to watch.
There will still be bad days ahead, but Bell will continue to improve. He's still very new to this game.

I think it's interesting because this makes him almost a lock to declare for the draft in a year when there probably won't be too many underclassmen coming out. That, and the ESPN bobbleheads have him as the top pass rushing prospect at a position we could definitely use help at. I've never seen him play myself. Anyone want to weigh in on his on-field performance?
Say what you want about Ralph Wilson as a meddling owner
