  1. I'm no where near as high on Wilson as some...The neck injury is one reason, he plays a bit out of control at times, and the Kid has some off-the-field question marks...I'm not saying I would not take him...But definitely not at the top of the 2nd Round...If the Bills pass on a QB at #3 they better take one at #34...And it shocks me that any Bills Fan would choose to pass on Ponder in this scenario knowing our QB situation...No back-up QB (and please don't give me the Levi Brown crap)...Fitz's deal is up after 2011...How can you not take a QB here? You counting on Seneca Wallace or Matt Leinart? Maybe we can bring Todd Collins back?

    I'd go VY.

  2. Why is everyone projecting him as a second rounder as opposed to a top 10 pick?

His production, for one. He had fewer sacks in four years than Von Miller had as a junior. He's also on the older side, more than two years older than Miller.

  3. I thought this was pretty interesting:

    Daniel (NYC)

Are Andrew Luck, Landry Jones and Matt Barkley better than any QBs in this draft?

    KC Joyner

That's a very broad question. Yes is the answer but the more specific answer is a) Luck could be a truly great NFL QB, b) Jones is more of a system QB and c) Barkley may be just as good as Luck.

  4. Where does it say that the people in the exit row were approached?

Based on this one side of the story it wouldn't surprise me if they did not ask. Seems like common sense was lacking on the part of Republic.

It's a small plane. I have a hard time believing that they weren't aware of what was going on when they saw a 6'9 person being escorted off the plane. They don't necessarily need to be asked - they can volunteer, too.

  5. Check your post. 1 team drafted their RT in the 1st round of the teams you mentioned.

Just totally spit balling but I say the average draft position of the RT would be around #50-60 range, which is a late second rounder.

So to go back to your original post.

No I wouldn't trade Jarvis Jenkins and Brewer for Carimi or Sherrod, It'd be a bad move.

Yeah, not sure what any of it has to do with anything, though. We need a starting RT more than we need a 4th DE. That is, if the goal is winning football games.

  6. For fun, why don't you find all the starting RT in the NFL and check out where they were drafted. Consider yourself shocked with the results.

    :flirt:

Sorry, can't say I'm shocked. I haven't gone through all the teams yet, but of the final four, GB's was in the first, Pit's was in the second, the Jets' was in the third, and the Bears' was in the seventh.

Patriots, Eagles and Ravens also got theirs in the second. Colts got their in the fourth.

I'm not going to check every team, but if you would like to tell me where to look to be surprised, I would appreciate it.

  7. The difference in on the field performance you get from a RT taken at #32 to #99 is going to be surprisingly minimal. It just has to do with risk. The #99 in theory is going to have more risk to actually earn the PT.

From what I've read about Carpenter Brewer and Hall, they look like quality RT prospects. A great use of a 4th round pick.

Not to mention unless you have a left handed QB how is taking a RT with your first round pick going to make a huge impact on your team?

My point is why use a 1st on a RT? Let alone why trade a talent like Jarvis and a talent like Brewer for a RT?

I'd be more than surprised if there is no difference in on-field performance. I'd be shocked, and I have no idea what you are basing that on.

A RT helps in the run game and from the pass rush coming from that side. Just because a QB is righthanded doesn't mean he never gets sacked from the RT side.

  8. Yeah because a player's potential is pre-determined and at #65 the team just takes the 65th best person, I don't even know why they bother drafting, they should just deal all the players out like cards.

    0:)

No, but I think that's closer to reality than just equating the worth of a 1st and 4th round pick.

  9. Would not do that even for a second.

Sherrod and Carimi are not locks to play LT and Brewer is probably going to be a solid RT.

You're buying a brand name with that trade and not really getting anything in return over Brewer

Didn't realize I was buying a brand name.

I want Sherrod (at least at first) and Carimi to play RT, which I think is the biggest hole on the team right now. And there has to be something in the over Brewer if they're gone in the first and he's around in the late fourth. Same applies to every player at every position.

  10. Locker is a late round project imo, not a 2nd or 3rd round pick. If the Bills FO or anyone saw him play last year he wouldn't even be under consideration. His accuracy is putrid and he looks to run all the time. If the Bills just look at stop watch results and combine scores than they could be suckered into picking him too early. If they actually watched him play football, they wouldn't touch him.

I'm guessing the Bills have seen him play.
