Can someone explain why Obama won't allow the new drilling in Alaska but will allow it in the Gulf and Virginia? I don't mean to rationalize it yourself but can you find Obama's rationale for that? I can't find an explanation. Let's see: Drilling in the Gulf and off VA No closing Gitmo Hasn't pulled back one iota from Afghan or Iraq No open government Way to ignore your campaign promises O.

I won't label you as a hippy but you're wrong. Most--the cast majority--of people who are living of the system's tit ARE lazy. I have met a lot of people working with children in North and West PHilly. When we (Department of Human Services and me) visit the families, the social worker doesn't ask "where" someone works but "if" they've ever worked. The answer is "no, not ever" almost always. And these people do not even look for work, except to jump through hoops necessary to receive more benefits. Able bodied? Check. Can work? Check. WILL work. No check. The entitlement problem runs very deep and is not easily solved. The families I meet have gernational (60-80) years or more of habit of living off government. That doesn't change easily. The people aren't proud of it--it's just a way of life. So I'm sympathetic...but have no illusions about it. Almost all of them don't work because they are lazy. With the exception of some elderly or mentally disabled (not ADHD BS), most people who are on long-term government tit are just plain unmotivated.

I was trying to find this thread at OT this morning. The WSJ had this story. Who knows? I won't leave AT&T if Apple just unlocks the next generation of iPhones. Others can go to Verizon and wherever. I came from Verizon and it was no better for calls. And CDMA is ****. Verizon will beat AT&T to LTE but there won't be LTE phones for a while. AT&T just doesn't have the bandwidth so support all us iPhone surfers.

We go to 3-4 movies a month. Love the theater experience and won't ever get over it. It's expensive but some peopel go to bars, some people drink, some people smoke, some people go out to dinner alot--we go to movies. Not the worst bad habit. 3D worked in Avatar because it was a new immersive universe. I liked it in that movie. It was not necessary in Alice and I can't imagine wanting to see many movies in 3D. For example, I am looking forward to seeing Clash of the Titans and could give a **** about going to the 3D version. Even at a buck or two a seat, I just don't care.

That's not a fact but no one is going to argue that the Bills haven't had a good QB in a long time. Nor should anyone argue that Lee Evans is a stud WR. And nor should anyone think that James Hardy's performances against Purdue in 2007 are in any way a reason to get excited for Hardy in 2010.
