  1. Correct Maddog. He's done doing mocks. He also stated in the past that he didn't spend a ton of time analyzing film and that most of the info he got was from talking directly to personnel from various teams. Which of course, meant his mocks were based on reality and not some Mel Kiper fantasy projection. I'm bummed he's not doing them anymore.

  2. "He ran the 40-yard dash two times with his best attempt clocked at 4.57 seconds.

"They don't expect me to be full speed and I don't expect the same," added Broyles when asked about his 40-yard dash time. "Being competitive, I wish it was in the 4.3 range. That's not the scenario. It just shows that I am working hard. I am getting my lateral movement back as well.""

For a guy his position/size that is pretty slow. How far removed from injury is he?

    5 months

  3.

I guess we'll know what the brass thinks come the 26th. I'm hoping Floyd is gone so I won't be worrying about picking him and we get around to filling a major position of need with a SUPERIOR player.

GO IRISH !!! :worthy: --->

So you admit you're a troll? Stepping through the muck of your idiotic assertions that a player who is widely considered to be a RT will be a day 1 starter over a player who has a year of NFL experience, you finally admit you're just a simpleton who has an agenda against my school. Not a shock. What I am surprised by is that you can string together enough words to form a complete sentence without resorting to text speak. For the record, I like Kuechly and Gilmore at 10.

  4. Still on the Floyd (prima donna) bandwagon Homer ?? Especially since we don't need a LT but we do need a knucklehead when there's 15-20 receivers just like him in the draft :wallbash:

Show me where I mentioned Floyd in this thread? How am I a bandwagon fan? I've met Floyd, does that put me on a bandwagon? Or would it be the fact that I actually went to the same school as he did? Yes, I can see I'm really late jumping on the Floyd bandwagon. I struggle to find you making a single logical or coherent point on this board.

Here's the strained thread of your logic.

    1- We need an LT

2- We will draft DeCastro or Reiff. DeCastro is a Guard and Reiff is a RT.

3- Your point having being excoriated, you proceed to attack other people.

  5. With the loss of Bell I instantly thought of OT.....but then I took a couple of deep breaths.

I DONT want to reach...I really dont.

A couple of things that I truly dont know but are bugging me.....

Is Rief or Martin truly going to be a foundation at the Left Tackle spot

    and

What is the drop off from these guys to the guys who might be available at the 2nd round pick?

Just keep in mind that we got guys like Jonas Jennings in the 2nd round......and Bell and Peters were complete afterthoughts. Another thing I am really wondering is just how high the bills are on Hairston actually being the starting LT.....because if he is the guy....then what we are really looking for is a swing OT to bring along behind him.

Exactly. Is kalil the only plug and play starter? Nix said there are three guys who could start soon, but that doesn't necessarily mean immediately. If you're not getting a day 1 starter at 10 then you start Hairston. Reiff is not a day 1 starter at LEFT tackle.

  6. Both NCAA football players and all NCAA athletes as a whole have higher graduation rates than the general college population. In fact, in 2010 (it was the first article I read when I googled to find a link) 69% of Division I NCAA football graduated.

    http://www.usatoday.com/sports/college/2010-10-27-ncaa-graduation-rates-study_N.htm

All that means is they passed players who couldn't read so they could generate money for the school. Come on Kelly, you're better than that!

  7. Or teams will miss their guy and he will be the last chance to land someone

Kalil is the only plug and play tackle in the draft. I don't see the two things being mutually exclusive. That said, if he is on his nationwide tour looking for the most cash and didn't sign with the latest team to bring him in, it's fair to say that no one has met his asking price. I think Kelly's numbers are spot on. The issue being, that though Bell can make assurances he is a healthy player, he has an injury history that refutes that. My guess, he'll sign somewhere for 2 years in the 4M range per year. Like Kelly, I agree that he's probably looking for 4 years and around 30M.

  8. The guy overvalues himself. If he didn't he would have signed already. Most of those teams need to improve at LT, so I could see them not wanting to overpay. But, not getting signed by the Eagles, whose LT is out for the season, just shows that either teams don't think much of him as a person (comes off as DUMB as a box of rocks if you read his twitter) or more likely, he's pricing himself out of the market. Wonder what team offered him the most?
