Everyone defending the pick keeps mentioning how much they throw the ball in today's NFL and you need to stop the pass.
My problem with that line of thought? The Bills themselves have no one other than Stevie to throw it to. There was a potentially elite WR sitting there and we passed. I really think IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO WIN THIS YEAR AND NOT CONTINUING THE NEVER-ENDING REBUILD that wide receiver was a much bigger need. We have talent at CB. Sure its aging talent, but its more than at WR. But I'm just whining right? We will get someone from UB in the 7th that will solve all of our WR issues.
I refer you to the "must have" receivers everyone was dying to get in the first round in 08 and how we were doomed when we didn't get them- Limas Swede, Devin Thomas. Oh but everyone was stoked when we got James Hardy in the 2nd!
We do NOT have good consistent talent at CB- McGee plays 3 games a year, Florence gets burned consistently and McKelvin is on his way out the door due to being terrible.
Basic fan knowledge on this site has devolved tremendously the past couple of years. The number of "I don't know him, so I'm mad" posts are asinine.

My top two picks if they Fall are Fleener and Hill, if Fleener is there in the 2nd for the Bills I do not see how you can pass on him.

This pick was telegraphed by Nix for a while now. Yesterday a reporter asked him if he took into consideration that WRs generally don't make an impact as rookies and take a year to develop in the NFL and really come in year 2 and he said "we're looking for an impact player." He said he believes Hairston can start for us. So no Reiff or Floyd. I think it came down to Kuechly, Barron and Gilmore for us

Yeah, but you were loving Whitner too. And JP, and every other stupid selection the Bills have ever made. But cope the way you choose. It's OK. Wave pom poms with Promo. Ultimately, being happy is a better state mind than accepting reality I suppose.

McKelvin is terrible. McGee is made of glass. Florence isn't that good. We NEEDED a good CB and we got a guy who was arguably the best CB in the draft. WR is deep, we can get one in rd 2 or even 3.

I'm now convinced it's Barron, just because I never know what the hell Buddy's doing and I never thought drafting him until the reports last night.
On one hand, I understand drafting a replacement to an aged starter. On the other hand: why draft Searcy if you're not going to kick his tires more?

I don't understand why we take Barron? George Wilson was playing lights out last year and Byrd is excellent. Safety is not exactly a rotational position. I'm confused.

Correct Maddog. He's done doing mocks. He also stated in the past that he didn't spend a ton of time analyzing film and that most of the info he got was from talking directly to personnel from various teams. Which of course, meant his mocks were based on reality and not some Mel Kiper fantasy projection. I'm bummed he's not doing them anymore.

You know what, I like it. This is how you shake things up. Punter, Long Snapper, Kicker rds 1-3 and we would have one of the most dominant kicking departments in the greater western NY area.

Show me where I mentioned Floyd in this thread? How am I a bandwagon fan? I've met Floyd, does that put me on a bandwagon? Or would it be the fact that I actually went to the same school as he did? Yes, I can see I'm really late jumping on the Floyd bandwagon. I struggle to find you making a single logical or coherent point on this board.
Here's the strained thread of your logic.
1- We need an LT
2- We will draft DeCastro or Reiff. DeCastro is a Guard and Reiff is a RT.
3- Your point having being excoriated, you proceed to attack other people.
