  1. Urban Meyer WAS on campus here today. Two of the guys in my law school class saw him. Bart, a few of us go to BW's to watch the games on sunday. We're gonna be there for the dolphins game, lemme know if you want to join and you dont have a car, we can pick you up.

  2. ok so its obvious to me that bledsoe will not be beack at the helm next season. People are rightfully down on TH so do you think we should trade him for a 1st rounder and change while we still can and draft o-line next season. I hate to think about this so early on the season, but does anyone really think we can turn it compeltely around and make the playoffs? Even if we were to turn it around I don't see us making the playoffs with the Jets up on us 3 games and the pats obviouly going to win the division. Are there any good o-line candidates for the draft next season?

  3. the pushed out of bounds part was not reviewable, they were just checking to see if he maintained possession when he landed. I agree, you should be able to review the pushed out of bounds calls, he wasn't pushed out. In fact if you look at the replay if anything Takeo was behind him and would have helped him stay in bounds. I think the call based on the rules was ok, but the rules are retarded. There was not, in my opinion a TD. Then again, they screwed up by letting it get that far.

  4. Civil court merely requires a "preponderance of the evidence" in order to convict someone, meaning that you could think "yeah he probably did it" and get a conviction. Of course I guess most people know this, but the fact that the civil case was dropped really does all but shut the door on the civil case. The case everyone is probably remembering at this time is OJ, innocent in criminal court but guilty in civil court. The thing is, once your case has been basically flushed down the toilet by the prosecution as in aborting the criminal case, it leaves very little for the plaintiff to stand on. So, even if there is some kind of case, the defense will merely point to this case. I mean, even with a weak case in the past prosecutors have proceeded just based on physical evidence. I just wanted to throw my two cents in cause Im in law school and I looked up instances where criminal cases were dismissed and the civil cases went on and I couldn't really even find one standard precedent for this type of thing. Oh well, just something for you guys to think about.
