  1. 1- I don't really care if Marrone is arrogant, delusional or normal- if he gets us 9+ wins I'll be a fan.

2- This is really bottom-feeding reporting by LaCanfora. Poor Rodak is probably softly weeping into his artisan quilt murmuring "I said it first" over and over again.

3- No one will remember this article if we beat the Bears...until we lose a game and then it will immediately become relevant again.

  2. Each time Joe B answers a question in one of his segments on WGR, I cringe.

For those saying he has a bright future nationally, I strongly disagree.

He has a very difficult time explaining his observations. His analysis is usually limited to good or bad, rarely why.

Most of the time he will say something along the lines of, "player x is developing well" but he absolutely NEVER goes into why or how that is.

The people who post in here that believe Joe B has a strong work ethic have heard that "fact" spoken on air or notice his suit and tie, but I bet few could cite actually situations where he seemed to have a real unique take or observation on a player.

I formed that opinion from several interviews. The interview that comes to mind presently would be his analysis on the Chris Williams signing. I thought he did a good job of explaining his opinions. He also seems to be one of the only guys around who comes off as engaged and putting forth an effort to be something other than self-serving or aggressively cynical.

  3. downright embarrassing - any story is broken nationally before the local guy has a clue. Guaghan and Sal are sensible and know football, Joe B is laughable- his ratings, to his eyes, what football experience knowledge does Joe B have? Seems like his opinion or "professional" eyes are no more professional than any of us.

What in your eyes would constitute a professional? Do you think the rest of the guys covering the sport have gone to some special "professional" school that entitles them to an opinion? I like Joe B. He backs up his analysis with reasoning (right or wrong) and that's really all you can ask of someone.

If you want to see a realm in which there are very few "professionals" actually doing the reporting on the sport, look at people covering MMA. That sport has so many unqualified people writing about it that it's maddening.

  4. You guys are real insane, You just don't get it.

This is by far the worst sign that the Bills are leaving Buffalo. This new group with out Bonjovi

Will bid over 2 Billion. They are in it to win it.

Tim Graham confirmed that the Ralph's Will does not Say they can't sell to out of town Bidders.

His Will says they have to sell to the highest bidder. This has been confirmed.

The lease that Ralph signed with Erie County says They can't move until 2022 with a 400 million Dollar buy out.

You guys just don't get it, as Canada's only NFL

Team they stand to make Billions.

They will just pony up the 400 Million and break the lease it's that simple. They will not spend

6 years waiting with empty stands at the Ralph.

They want this team and now that the Bon Jovi

financial handcuffs are off there bid watch out.

Terry Pegula better be prepared to pay over 2 Billion if he wants the Bills. The Canada groups

Face has been rubbed and dragged through

The mud and now there ready to blow all bidders

    Out of the water.

I hate to say this but I got a bad feeling.

My stomach is churning and I'm upset.

I do not want my Bills leaving buffalo

It's like this group from Canada has 9 lives

We need to put a silver bullet through there heart

You are real incorrect, Randy Jackson

Your hero Tim Graham sold you out. He says your nemesis group is imploding and will not remain viable.

There's an opt out clause you missed, not 2022.

THEIR group will not purchase the team and proceed to flush 400M down the toilet to move them before the lease expired. You just don't get it.

You don't particularly need a silver bullet to kill a cat. That comment makes me concerned for small pets and any woodland creatures around you.

  5. Hey guys Matthew Coller, this morning, mentions a trade that Whaley made. He say it makes Whaley look pretty good?

What is the trade? Coller and Cich actually never mention it and I couldn't find it here.

The mention is at ~19 minute mark

    http://audio.wgr550....cich-hour-3.htm

Sheppard for Hughes. Hughes had a great season with double digit sacks and Shep just got cut.

  6. It's been reported EJ was Buddy's pick, his sort of swan song in that he wanted to get the BILLS a QB before he stepped down...I'm wondering now if Whaley truly feels saddled with this guy and essentially went all in on EJ hoping to manufacture confidence in the kid so he would perform better and now, feeling like the house of cards is falling down, he's panicking a bit and knows that EJ will make or break this season for the entire team...just a thought

Nix stayed through that draft, precisely so they COULD blame it all on Nix if the pick failed. The dumb move on their part was doubling down on him by trading next year's 1 to get Watkins. That effectively nullified all the rudimentary smoke and mirrors they tried using last year by showing Whaley thinks we can win with EJ.

  7. really looking forward when he's asked about it at today's press conference:

wawrow: coach, it looked like you and doug whaley and russ brandon had a heated conversation on the sidelines this afternoon.

    marrone: excuse me?

wawrow: the media could hear you and doug whaley and russ --

marrone: -- oh yeah, we had a great conversation.

    (marrone looks away)

chris brown: coach marrone, the upgrade in the back-up quarterback position today indicates that this is a team that is relentless in its pursuit of excellence. as a coach, it must be invigorating to be captaining a ship that may know no bounds, a team that some consider to be on the cusp of greatness.

    marrone: yeah, thanks.

tim graham: doug, back to the confrontation on the sidelines --

marrone: -- look, obviously what we do and say in the privacy of a public setting is private.

tim graham: it sounded like voices were raised, particularly when you directed something at doug and russ.

marrone: no, it wasn't directed at them.

tim graham: well, it appeared that you looked right at them when you said it.

marrone: no, it was directed at the team in general.

wawrow: but the team was located 20 yards behind you.

marrone: then it was directed at the world in general. look, obviously, it's the same thing i told the jerry hughes last week. russ and doug are like the jerry hughes of team president-ing and general managing. i wish everyone on the team could president and general manage like them. they're just really special people and true professionals. jerry hughes is a great player with a great attitude -- that much should be clear.

chris brown: coach marrone, a lot of people are saying that this team is going through the inevitable growing pains associated with becoming a legendary squad, maybe even even approaching the greatness of lombardi's packers. couldn't the argument be made not making the playoffs this year could actually be a good -- and maybe even preferable -- outcome?

    marrone: thanks, guys.

(marrone exits. locks himself in office. turns off all lights. weeps.)

(chris brown takes shower, scrubbing himself endlessy, after which he feels no cleaner.)

(tim graham settles in for a long night of trolling on twitter.)

(wawrow gets in car, selects "pleased to meet me" from his iphone, cranks it up, slips on sunglasses, drives into sunset.)

    the end.

    Vote up

  8. Seems like Goodwin has tried to apologize. He is young man, if you are fan of the team forgive him, move on, and root for him to win.

I fail to see how being a fan means you need to forgive him at all. Completely false logic. I can be a Bills fan and dislike the kid. I don't particularly dislike him, but don't qualify other people's fandom for them.
