  1. 1st rounder: ILB Patrick Willis http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...rickwillis.html 2nd rounder: DE: Charles Johnson http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...lesjohnson.html 3rd rounder:G/T Tony Ugoh http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...t/tonyugoh.html A couple day two picks: WR: Dallas Baker http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...allasbaker.html RB: Lorenzo Booker http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...enzobooker.html I've watched a few Georgia games including the bowl game vs. V-Tech and Charles Johnson was jumping out at me nearly every play. His teamate Quintin Moses gets more hype for some reason, but Johnson looks like he'll be the better pro. Only being 6-2 will hurt him, but he is 270 and is explosive coming off the line. I haven't seen much of Ugoh but Kiper likes him alot and his climbing up draft boards. I've seen Willis play and he has been known for a couple years as one of the top LB's in the nation. I remember in last years bowl game against Memphis it seemed like he was in on almost every tackle. Lorenzo Booker to me would be the perfect back for this team. We need a guy to come in and take 6-10 carries along with some screen passes. This guy is a threat to take it the distance every time he touches the ball. He would be a perfect change of pace back to McGahee and a nice 3rd down back. I watched some Florida games this year and I'll be surprised if Baker lasts untill day 2, but right now that is where he is projected. It seems like he is bigger and faster then everyone else, and after the combine I'm thinking he'll climb up draft boards. In FA if we could get either L. Davis or Steinbech and the DT from Oakland and Nick Harper from the Colts (assuming we let Clements walk) I think we'll be in good shape. Now, after saying all that, I'de be surprised if one of those things actually happens, but I feel better after now. Depth Chart: QB: Losman RB: Mcgahee, L. Booker® WR: L. Evans, P. Price, R. Parrish, J. Reed, D. Baker TE: D. Graham(FA) R. Royal LT: J. Peters LG: L. Davis(FA) C: M. Flower RG: T. Ugoh® RT: T. Pennington DE: A. Schobel, C. Kelsay(Resign) DT: Terdell Sands(FA), Kyle Williams DT: Larry Tripplet, John McCargo DE: Charles Johnson®, Ryan Denney OLB: Angello Crowell MLB: Patrick Willis® OLB: Takeo Spikes CB: Terrence McGee CB: Nick Harper(FA) FS: Ko Simpson SS: Donte Whitner
  2. I agree that he looks like he's going to be a stud, but we have huge holes to fill on both the offensive and defensive lines. Lynch looks like the sexy pick, but we will never win untill the lines are fixed. This is why Donahoe never had any success. You can't always make the "sexy" pick and try to fill the lines with average players.
  3. Kind of surprised he doesn't have the LB Willis up there.
  4. The Jets defense has always been bad, that is the only reason he's able to do good against them. The Jets are just a product of an incredibly easy schedule. Next year I look for them to have a top 5 pick again.
  5. If we loose Clements then draft a corner in the 1st we're not getting any better, just worse. D-Lineman make the the secondary better, not the other way around.
  6. It's funny how sports works sometimes. A few years ago everyone in Buffalo was saying how Henry wasn't a good enough RB and Willis McGahee would be a star. A few years later Henry looks like a top 10 back on another team and the Bills look like they'll need to draft another RB in the next 2 years.
  7. Every year we talk about who the Bills are going to pick and every year we're WRONG!! We have no idea what Marv and co. are thinking but I'm sure they have a plan. They're plan could be go go with an electric player like Ginn or Lynch, or go with a big DT. Point is, we have no idea and come draft day I'm sure we'll be in for a surprise, just like Whitner.
  8. Damn another one of these little kid posts. Have you been watching the Bills games the past few years?? We need D-line help, O-line help and a MLB. If our first rounder isn't 1 of those 3 then Levy should be fired of old age.
  9. I don't see Michael Bush anywhere in these mock drafts. Wasn't he a senior before he got injured the 1st game of the season?
  10. This is such a silly conversation to me. Yah Jarret would be that "sexy pick" that everyone would love, but it would be the dumbest thing Levy could do, and there is no way he'll do that. This team need D-Lineman and O-Lineman, and the only way I see them taking another postion is if a stud MLB is there. I have a hunch that Levy will go after DE Gaines Adams or DE Moses if they are there. If they are both gone I would love to go after DT Branch for Michigan. The cover 2 only works when the strength of your defense is your D-Lineman. In the cover 2 we rarely blitz so it's very important to have a pass rush. The best case scenario in my mind is having Levy sign Simeon Rice (expected to be cut) then draft a big DT like Branch if he is there. We would istantly make the D-Line one of our strengths.
  11. I was talking about FOOTBALL players, and Moorman is just a punter. Evans should get the nod over A. Johnson considering he has dropped off big time the last month of the season, and he plays for a terrible team. I think out of Evans, Coles, and Walker, 2 will get in.
  12. Aaron Schobel: leads league with 13 1/2 sacks but the 4 guys behind him are only 1 or 1 1/2 behind him and all are in the AFC. Lee Evans: I believe he is the 4th in the AFC in yards and has 6 touchdowns. I'm starting to think he might get in. Chad Johnson, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne are all locks, so that leaves 2 spots. Nate Clements: Now that the Bills are winning some games I would expect Clements to find a way in. Jason Peters: I know it's a long shot, but you never know. London Fletcher: Every year this guy is deserving but he always gets the same thing. He'll probably end up being an alternate again. Who do you guys think gets in and doesn't get in? I'm thinking 2 out of these 3 will get in. (Evans, Schobel, Clements)
  13. It's funny to see just how dumb people can be. You're blaming the wrong person if you're blaming your cable company. The real problem is the NFL being greedy as usual. Not every household wants to pay extra for the NFL network. It should be up to the consumer on whether or not they want to pay the extra monthly fee to get the sports premium package. If the cable companies give in and allow NFL network to be apart of the basic package then it will raise the price for every consumer. The NFL is hoping that enough people call complaining that the cable companies will have to make it apart of the basic plan. What people should really do is boycott it and not make the complaining calls. If you really want the channel stop being so cheap and pay the extra 2 dollars a month and get the sports premium package.
  14. As much as I was hoping for J.P. to be the guy, i can't see it happening. He doesn't have very good pocket presence and he isn't always accurate. We're 2-5 and it doesn't look like we're going anywhere, so we might as well throw Craig Nall in there and see if he has anything. Who knows, maybe he is the next Hassleback.
  15. If we have any shot at Quinn we better take it. If Quinn isn't there when we pick then we should go for Calvin Johnson or a D-Lineman if there is one worth taking.
  16. It's a short blog today as I'm loaded all morning with ESPN Magazine meetings (read: three-hour lunches on the company's dime). The unit that most impressed me on Sunday was the Bills' defense, in particular its front even and rookie safety tandem of Donte Whitner and Ko Simpson. The Bills might have eclipsed the Dolphins as possessing the most feared pass rush in the AFC East. They took apart New England's line last week and confused Tom Brady with their schemes. If you're confusing Brady, you're blitzing well. The Bills wrecked Daunte Culpepper's home debut, and it was a big debut after several un-clutch moments in the season opening loss to Pittsburgh. Miami had 10 days to prep for this. And yet until the final minutes the Bills were shutting out a Dolphins team that many - thankfully not I - picked at the least a division champ and the most a Super Bowl participant. They did it without vet Troy Vincent (injured reserve) and with five rookies starters. Culpepper's stats during the game looked good - he hit 10 of his first 11 and ended up 23-of-32 - but he was confused all day. DE Ryan Denney sacked Culpepper three times and knocked him down on a pair of other occasions. He also forced Culpepper from the pocket with 56 seconds left in the first half and the Dolphins on the verge of scoring. Culpepper rolled right and threw a dud right into the welcoming arms of linebacker Angelo Crowell, who was replacing star Takeo Spikes. Few teams were better set up to start 0-2 with a pair of blowout losses than the Bills. Road games against the Pats and Dolphins were brutal. But Buffalo could have won in New England had its offense been more capable, and soundly whipped Miami in a game that wasn't as close as its 16-6 score indicated. It earned J.P. Losman his first win since his first start. Not to mention the attention of every team in a suddenly very competitive AFC East.
  17. Lets calm down. We're 1-1 and beat Miami without having any offense. I'm hoping for one, but lets not get carried away.
  18. Start going for wins, i'm getting sick of all this conservative crap. Bills hope for FG's instead of TD's.
  19. These stats by Losman are pretty pathetic though. 4/9 for 26 yards??
  20. Line officials aren't going to miss those calls. At least 3 times it looked like more then half the line was offsides when they really weren't. Fowler snapped the ball and part of the right side was slower to react I think. A couple times it took Losman a while just to get the ball from Fowler.
  21. Learned two things in this game. Losman and the offense are still the same as last year. All the Patriots had to do was bring a little bit of pressure, and the offense folded. As far as the defense goes, not much has changed. Played good in the first half, until the Patriots made a few adjustments and did whatever they wanted. When we were up 17-7 I think most Bills fans knew the Patriots were going to end up winning the game.
  22. This is way too familiar. Bills look like they're doing good, then the other teams turns it on and makes them look bad. Now we really get to see if Losman has grown up at all. TD here is needed!!
  23. i live in indiana of pennsylvania. Does anyone know a way that I could check to see if the game is televised here?
