  1. I could see Allen, Carpenter, and D'Brick not panning out.
  2. I live in Virginia, and none of these hockey game on TV except for on Sunday. I've had to go to a bar to watch two of the games so far, but do you think now that it is the 2nd round it will actually be televised?
  3. Yubotu gives us more freedom in handling Nate nexy year in terms of keeping him or not. We should have alot of cap room next year too.
  4. Is there any other site that has the videos?? I don't get the program Yahoo uses for its videos on my computer.
  5. Kyle Williams will probably make the team too.
  6. Why does everyone always talk about how great McNally is at coaching offensive lineman?? From what I've seen the Bills line has been terrible the whole time he has been here.
  7. I really do like the draft at the end of the day. Whittner and Simpson give us a young fast safety combo that Buffalo has been lacking for a very long time. If you look at all the top teams they have very good safety's and I think these two players will complement eachother very well if not this year then next. Whittner was seen as a middle first round guy and Simpson was rated as a late first early second round guy. Yubuto was rated as a mid to late first, and McCargo was rated as an early 2nd round guy that was moving up draft boards. If you look at it like this and see how we filled our needs with players that fit our scheme perfectly you have to be somewhat happy about the draft. The only problem is the fact that our offensive line didn't get any help through this draft. But I guess the Bills are thinking they have upgraded enough for this year. They got a starter on a playoff Carolina team in Reyes to play LG and they got a starter on a 9-7 team in Flower to play Center. Peters gets a full training camp to work at RT so you'de have to think that he can improve termendously, and Chris V. coming back to play RG. That leaves Mike Gandy to play LT again. Not exactly thrilled with that, but I guess LT will have to wait another offseason.
  8. No, because he isn't a safety. If they wanted a FS they would have just picked Ko Simpson.
  9. OG Max Gean Jiles OT Jonathon Scott OT Ryan O'Callaghan DT Orien Harris DT Gabe Watson LB A.J. Nicholson S Ko Simpson S Darnell Bing Not in any order or anything, just throwing some guys out there that haven't been picked yet.
  10. The Saints biggest need is OLB so this trade makes tons of sense to them. They get a proven Pro Bowler reciever, they get A.J. Hawk and they get an early 3rd.
  11. Clayton just said on ESPN that he doesn't think a Bills-Eagles trade will happen since the Eagles aren't willing to give up enough.
  12. Trade that was reported on Milwaukee Radio but is not yet finalized. Saints Recieve: Javon Walker #5 pick 3rd rounder from GB Packers Recieve: #2 pick
  13. If Justice isn't available I think the Bills might be looking at Donte Whitner.
  14. We don't need a corner, we need lineman and a safety
  15. I wonder who we want at 14? Ngata probably will be gone, but there is a chance Justice will be there. M. Williams Bush Lienert Young D. Ferguson A. Hawk V. Davis M. Huff J. Cutler B. Bunkley Those players will all be gone by the 14th pick so that leaves a 50/50 chance that either Justice or Ngata will be there at 14th.
  16. Jumping back into the 1st round would be extremely unrealistic. There is no way the Bills will give up next years first considering we probably won't be very good.
  17. Yah, I'm thinking Titans are going to take Lienert too.
  18. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/ins...&CMP=ILC-INHEAD According to a source, the Jets are far more interested in USC quarterback Matt Leinart than they are leading people to believe. They have attempted to play it cool recently, but the organization came to a near consensus that Leinart is the top quarterback prospect after working out all three of the top prospects (Leinart plus Texas' Vince Young and Vanderbilt's Jay Cutler) during a six-day span more than a week ago. US PRESSWIRE/Ben Chen The Jets likely will take Matt Leinart -- if he's still on the board at No. 4. The Jets' trip to Eugene, Ore., to visit privately with QB Kellen Clemens was not a smoke screen, but it did help draw attention away from their interest in Leinart. If Leinart comes off the board in the first three picks, New York likely will take Virginia offensive tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson at No. 4 and address the need for a young quarterback with Clemens in the second round (pick No. 35). The Jets own seven of the first 117 overall picks in this draft, and general manager Mike Tannenbaum and new head coach Mike Mangini subscribe to the Parcells/Belichick "more is better" theory -- particularly with a draft class so deep in talent. With that in mind, do not expect New York to part ways with picks to move ahead of the Titans, who are rumored to be undecided about whether to pick Leinart or Young at No. 3. However, the Jets apparently will pull for Leinart to slip to them at No. 4. Although New York is hoping for the best with starting QB Chad Pennington, there is a strong feeling around team offices that Pennington will not be ready for the start of next season and can't be trusted to hold up for the entire season. Patrick Ramsey is a decent backup, but the team realizes his limitations. That's why, despite contrary reports, we've been told the Jets will gladly select Leinart over Ferguson if faced with that decision at pick No. 4. • The 49ers are flat-out committed to Maryland tight end Vernon Davis at No. 6. One of the reasons we know this is because they turned down a proposal from the Broncos, who wanted to trade up to the sixth pick. Instead of making that deal, which would have allowed Denver to land Davis, the 49ers traded one pick each in the second and third rounds to gain an additional first-round pick (No. 22). The Niners are now able to use their first pick on Davis, then address one of their several defensive needs 16 selections later. The team could use the 22nd pick on one of many defensive backs projected to be available or on Manny Lawson, who would fit an even bigger need at outside linebacker in the 49ers' 3-4 scheme. There has been some speculation that the Packers are considering Davis with the fifth pick. If that becomes the case, Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk would be San Francisco's choice, but only after it attempted to move out of the sixth pick. • Baltimore is willing to trade out of the 13th pick for the right deal. So far, there seems to be an awfully big market, mainly because teams interested in USC offensive tackle Winston Justice know they need to move ahead of the Eagles (No. 14) to secure him. The Cowboys (No. 18) and the Buccaneers (No. 23) are two of the teams interested in Justice. There is also a rumor floating around that the Patriots (No. 21) have interest in moving up to the Ravens' spot. One report has New England doing so for Florida receiver Chad Jackson, but that's not coach Bill Belichick's style. If the team does move up, it's more likely to be in pursuit of linebackers Kamerion Wimbley (Florida State), Ernie Sims (Florida State) or Chad Greenway (Iowa). According to a source, the Eagles would take Jackson if Justice is off the board. Although Jackson is a better fit for the Eagles because of his size, speed and overall upside, the Broncos prefer Ohio State receiver Santonio Holmes over Jackson. The Broncos need to use their 15th pick on a player who can help right away, and Holmes is clearly the more polished route runner and more proven commodity at this point. There is concern among the Denver brass that Holmes could be gone by the 15th selection, but the Broncos don't like Holmes enough to package picks to move up for him. If Holmes is gone, the Broncos will first entertain trade-down offers, then, if they can't find an appropriate suitor, will make a tough decision between Minnesota running back Laurence Maroney and NC State's Lawson. As a side note, one of the reasons the Broncos value Maroney over Memphis' DeAngelo Williams is because of Maroney's experience in a similar zone-blocking offensive scheme at Minnesota. • The Dolphins have time to develop a receiver behind Chris Chambers and Marty Booker, which explains why they value Jackson over Holmes. If Jackson is gone, the Dolphins will aggressively look to trade down in an attempt to gain back a pick in the second round. If Miami gets stuck, Virginia Tech defensive back Jimmy Williams is rumored to be the team's preference. Although some teams have Lawson graded out in the middle of the first round, I'm told the Dolphins consider that a reach. • There also is some trade buzz regarding the Rams with the 11th overall selection. According to a source close to the situation, the Rams would consider moving back for the right deal, but only if quarterback Cutler is off the board. That obviously begs the question of how interested new head coach Scott Linehan truly is in Cutler. If the answer is very interested, the Rams might also be in the market to trade up a couple of spots to snatch Cutler ahead of the Cardinals, who are leaning toward Cutler at No. 10. As far as a trade-down partner is concerned for the Rams, I've been told Miami is one of the interested teams. • The Lions evidently are crossing their fingers that Texas defensive back Michael Huff falls to them at No. 9. If Huff is off the board, Detroit currently rates Florida State's Sims ahead of Justice on its pecking order of prospects who fit positions of need. • The Browns' dream scenario would be for Oregon nose tackle Haloti Ngata to fall to them at No. 12. The 338-pounder could help spell Ted Washington as a rookie and eventually replace the aging veteran as the anchor in the middle of Cleveland's three-man front. However, the Browns are correct to assume that Ngata will be gone by the time they go on the clock. So, Plan B becomes Wimbley, who would make an ideal fit as an outside linebacker in coach Romeo Crennel's 3-4 defensive scheme. • It's no secret that Auburn offensive tackle Marcus McNeill has a back condition (spinal stenosis). What is difficult to gauge, however, is how much of an effect it will have on his draft status. McNeill has been considered a late first-round prospect for much of the draft process and has been in competition with Miami's Eric Winston to be the third offensive tackle taken in this year's class -- behind Ferguson and Justice. As the draft nears, it's safe to say McNeill's back condition will become tougher to overlook. At this point, it wouldn't be surprising to see Winston come off the board ahead of McNeill and see McNeill slip to the early stages of the second round. • Western Michigan receiver Greg Jennings continues to skyrocket up many teams' draft boards. Jennings lacks elite size (5-11½), but he is a polished route runner with reliable hands and better-than-average top-end speed (4.46). In what is widely regarded as one of the weakest wide receiver classes in the past decade, Jennings could come off the board early in the second round. From this article this is what the first 6 picks should look like: Texans: According to J. Glazer and Kiper the Texans will take Bush and the Williams thing is just a smokescreen. Saints: Saints moved Jamal Brown to LT a couple weeks ago, and Kiper seems to think they'll go for something on the defensive side of the ball. The pick here would be Mario Williams Titans: This is the big wild card, but I'm going to assume they go with V. Young. Jets: If Titans take Young and Lienert falls into their laps they'll take him. If the Titans take Lienert then i think this pick would be Ferguson. Packers: Kiper was on the Mike and Mike show this morning and was saying how the Packers would almost definitley go for a pick on the defensive side of the ball even if Ferguson is available. The pick here would obviously be A.J. Hawk. 49ers: From this article it looks like the 49ers are set on taking V. Davis. Raiders: I have no idea who they are looking at, but i'de assume Huff would be up there. I don't think they would take Ferguson considering they just took Gallery #2 overall 2 years ago, but who knows. Bills: Could Ferguson really fall this far??? Could he really fall right into the laps of the Bills like that?
  19. Does anyone know what time the draft starts and what time you think the Bills will be picking? I coach little basketball players and we have a practice at 1:00 p.m. and I won't be back untill 2:30. Do you think I'de miss the Bills pick??
  20. Bunkley isn't just a workout warrior, the guy had 9 and a half sacks at FSU. That is against some of the best competition in the nation. As far as McCargo dropping into the 4th, I couldn't believe Kiper would say this. I'de be happy if we grabbed him in the 2nd.
  21. Bunkley is a freak of nature and would be perfect for our team. Ngata would just clog up space and do exactly what S. Adams did. I would personally be thrilled if we got Bunkley.
  22. The Bold article below is Mel Kiper's latest 4 round mock draft that he did on April 12th. I like some of the picks he made for the Bills, but I thought I would change a few things, but only change players that Kiper has being picked after we pick. Here is my mock: 1st round (8): DT Brodrick Bunkley (Kiper has him going 8th to us) 2nd round (42): OT Marcus McNeill (Kiper has him going 49th to Dallas) 3rd round (70): OG Charles Spencer (Kiper has him going 78th to Cleveland) 3rd round (73): S Darnell Bing (Kiper has him going 89th to Carolina) 4th round (105): DT John McCargo (Kiper has him going 123rd to Cincinati) If this happened I would die in happiness!!!!! http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draft06/ins..._mel&id=2405172 With the NFL draft two weeks away, the one hot spot in the first round remains with the New Orleans Saints and second overall pick. While I still have North Carolina State defensive end Mario Williams going to New Orleans, the outlook of the first round could change significantly if the Saints trade the pick. My first-round projections remain nearly the same, with the one newcomer being NC State defensive end Manny Lawson. Overshadowed by Williams at NC State, Lawson had a very good senior season then performed exceptionally well at the NFL scouting combine. Right now I am projecting the Jets will use their second first-round pick on Lawson, where he will be used as a pass-rushing defensive end/outside linebacker. New this week are my projections for the second, third and fourth rounds. You will be surprised to see some players initially projected as first-round picks have slipped to the second round in recent weeks. 1st Round | 2nd Round | 3rd Round | 4th Round First-Round Projections 1. 23. I'm sorry, but this is the stupidest comment I have ever heard. So you don't think he is worth the #8 pick, but you think he's worth our 2nd round pick? Bunkley won't go any lower than #13. I wouldn't mind us taking Justice or Bunkley with the #8 pick. With our 2nd pick I would love to get McCargo, the DT from N.C. State. R. Wright has problems with effort, and is all potential. I don't really want players who didn't perform that well in college but their names are known because they have "potential".
