  1. Evans is signed through 2009 and JP is signed through 2008.
  2. What? He's scheduled to make $905K next year.
  3. Come on Seattle, go for it!
  4. I'd also take a 2nd rounder for him.
  5. Luckett actually got that call right. What most don't know is that Bettis originally called the wrong side first then changed it, and Luckett went with what he said first.
  6. The Colts defense is for real, folks. They missed Bob Sanders, who is now back and healthy. So far they've shutdown 2 top RB's and what should have been good passing offenses, and scored more points than Baltimore has given-up on average this year.
  7. I see Marty being gone for sure if they lose. Don't know if he'll go to the Dols though.
  8. Actually let's see if Buffalo wants an NFL team here. Ralph will still make money whether fans show-up or not and by spending LESS on the team BECAUSE fans aren't showing up. Not to mention he will make a TON more by selling the team to the highest bidder, who can then move it anywhere he/she chooses.
  9. Isn't the purpose of a prenup to AVOID having to pay-out as much as Strahan will have to pay-out?
  10. Asking for a SB contender in the first year of a new regime is asking a lot. The Saints are an exception. I'm just saying that fans wanted a team that was winning, and it WAS at that time. Sad, just sad.
  11. I was hoping for Antonio Bryant myself.
  12. I said "at least." I think that it could even be higher, which along with higher parking and concessions really starts to add-up. That's another lame excuse. The Bills were 4-2 and facing the hated Miami Dolphins in a game that had sold-out for the past 20 years, and they couldn't sell-out.
  13. It only gets worse because that defense is aging by the second.
  14. Man Pgh will be a hurting unit for many years. First Cowher, now Whisenhunt. They could also end up losing Russ Grimm and Dick LeBeau if neither are promoted to HC.
  15. That crew blew more than a few calls in that game, before and AFTER that turnover. Whether that was a conspiracy is another debate entirely, but it doesn't take away from the lousy officiating in that game. I agree with this. Good thing that "liquored-up kicker" made it moot.
  16. The Bills were pursuing DT Ryan Pickett last year, and would have still signed Tripplett. That tells me that they wanted more beef/run-stopping ability. The problem is that Pickett chose GB. I think they make a push for an Ian Scott or a Terdell Sands, or draft a DT high. I'm thinking they want to fill DT with a FA and allow themselves to draft Patrick Willis at LB, to be a latter-day Urlacher. And the Bears' defense isn't nearly as dominant without Tommie Harris. It's just that the Seahawks can't catch the ball to save their lives and have a secondary made-up of a rookie, a SS, and a guy who was a loan officer 2 weeks ago.
  17. Never let facts get in the way of a good JSP "woe is me" diatribe. And WHO really wanted Payton as a HC before the season? The same number who wanted Mangini. BTW, the Bills could have had Brees and Colston.
  18. The Bills have the lowest ticket prices in the NFL. As a result, they have a stadium that's larger than the average, since Ralph relies quite heavily (compared to other owners) on ticket sales, parking, and concessions. To reduce seating, the ticket prices would have to go up by about $10 apiece, not to mention parking and concessions. And still blackouts would probably be a concern.
  19. The Saints have soldout for the first time in their history BECAUSE of Katrina AND because of the threat of the team moving. Benson is from San Antonio and they would LOVE to have a pro team, and Benson would love to move them there. Maybe Ralph needs to start scouting-out some places and put the fear of God into the Buffalo "faithful" again.
  20. If the Bills WERE to leave, I'd support them going to Toronto. That being said, I hope they never leave Buffalo.
  21. Actually it was an injury that finished him off. He never recovered from a high ankle sprain.
  22. Why would they want a small market like Buffalo? Doesn't make sense.
  23. From what I've heard, the Bills like Pennington and Fowler (and obviously Peters). They want to bring back Gandy but at a reasonable price. They know they need to upgrade the RG spot and will concentrate on that in FA. I believe this because it makes sense to me. I think that the lack of a bonafide/veteran RG hindered TP a lot. As did him being a raw 7th round rookie. He'll be fine at RT.
  24. I've actually seen a photo of Harris trapping the ball on the ground. I've also seen slo-mo of the ball hitting Frenchy Fuqua first (back then if it hit an offensive player first and wasn't caught, the ball is dead), bouncing-off him and to Harris, where he traps it.
