I never knew how awesome of a game it was until I happened to be in France in 1998 for the World Cup. Count me it, what are we up to, about 12 now?

This is not an isolated phenomenon. I have seen this very thing happen at Panthers games all the time. It will get better for NC fans eventually. Enough of us will move down there that they will see how to really support a team...

I think he means ACC here. And it is big in Charlotte. Charlotte is a HUGE banking city now. Twenty years ago, uptown was a fuggin dump. They have really changed it for the better. Except for all the friggin yankees...

One of the things they are trying to do to make the sport of hockey grow in the south is by making it a family event. That is why so many young children go to the games. Which I think is great. But what people need to do is let the security guards know when someone is being a jackass, don't just get mad, move and not say anything, that allows the problem to grow. I am so bummed to hear about how bad some of the Sabers fans acted. What a shame, now I have to hear about what an uncivilized, redneck town it (and its fans) are for the next 10 years...

No doubt Pooj. Christ 75% of all people in NC now are from up north anyways. For those of you in NC, ask people and you will be hard pressed to find a native NCian.

I used to go to a bunch of Canes games, but before the strike it got to be WAY to expensive. It was literaly over $125 bucks for me and the little woman to go during the season. I went to a Canes playoff the year they went to the finals, I think it was a game they won against the Leafs. The arena is FUGGGIN LOUD. You will NOT be able to hear the chant unless the Sabers have the lead. Take it to the bank, that place really does get off the hook. Too bad no one there really cares until they get into the playoffs. My two buddies are going to the game, but they are NC boys pulling for the Canes. SOBs didn't invite me...

Clearly, it the guest worker plan is needed. And I agree it is a good idea. It's at least a step in the right direction. Congress still has to vote in this plan proposed by Chimp, right? So no, I would not assume that Chimp has the authority to grant amnesty. My earlier statement was ment to suggest that immigrants in Mexico hear the "guest worker program" and will likely stream across the border hoping to get involved in the plan. Which I don't blame them for at all. Without securing the border with either the Berlin Wall or the military (with guns) there is no way this worker program is going to work...

Exactly my point. This is a pandering response by the president. UPHOLD THE LAWS of the USA!!!! If most Americans were ok with giving illegals rights and citizenship, I would be fine with it. Really. That is what a majority rules democracy is all about. But something like 80% of Americans want the laws to be upheld. I think that speaks for itself...

Exactly. I seriously would have been mad if a professional interrogator would have bought that line from Michael. Makes next week MUCH more interesting. Specifically, I am concerned that by having this so called guest worker program without secure borders will cause more people to flood over the borders, as they will see this as a ticket to getting in around the citizenship laws. The guest worker program should only apply to those who are already here. But at the same time, you have to secure the borders. What do I suggest? Build the fuggin Berlin Wall on the border. Put the NG there if you like, but don't neuter them like this token gesture Chimp is talking about. Once you make sure no one can circumvent the LEGAL system, then the worker program may work. Tom, I guess it COULDN'T hurt to have the NG sitting in vans pulling thier pvds, but I hope that people don't think this is the fix to the solution...
