You mean like the way HOF Roger Clemens is doing to the Astros? Not to mention other teams who are courting him?
Favre means little for that team right now. They suck badly and even if he were to play again, that won't guarantee a winning season. Their D has slowly been falling apart for years now.
Yea, I remember how this board was. It's funny. Clements would be harder to re-sign that Walker would for the Vikes. His value is alot higher and is on the verge of making more PB; the same can't be said about Kenyatta.
With the receiving corps we have, I think he ends up being cut or becomes the 3rd stringer. Unless, JP learns how to make reads like a vet quickly, he'll be the backup to Nall. It's just a feeling I have.
I don't live in WNY or a city where the industrial job base disappeared so rapidly but I understand Mr. Wilson's POV and everything PTR has discussed in such a way even a termite would understand.
It's a signal to the sports world, that if your population isn't X number, you wouldn't be able to support a team. Plus, you would have to have a fan base that cares (read: Devil Rays).
To me, these WR signings are for the benefit of JP and Nall. Kelly is the 3rd stringer now. Sure he can makes the reads but alot more is required when everybody is running fly patterns.
I have this feeling that Nall will be the starter come September and he's gonna put up some decent numbers if the line plays well. Willis will make the PB too.
Easy, you must lead the receiving corps in catches, yards, touchdowns and be the first option in the red zone (in a passing situation, of course). At the end of the year, we'll know who this WR is.
