  1. Holy Crap - terrible news. He was once married to a girl I went to high school with. Probably like 20 years ago now I had beers with him one night - we talked for a while about the crappy Bills teams of the 80's (he said Ken Baby Johnson was one of his favorites)... I will also always remember when we drafted him - I had this random San Diego State T-shirt from Champion that I always used to wear in HS - so I thought it was cool we drafted a QB from there

    RIP

  2. Granted, Jauron has had the same style his whole career - but at this point he has to be acutely aware of the extremely strong criticisms being waged against him. What is the possibility he was told explicitly (or at least recognizes himself?) that he should change/improve certain aspects of his coaching - and would he be willing/capable?

Tom Coughlin got to a point where he understood he needed to make changes in order to be successful (and survive) - in his case it was to be less of a taskmaster and more of a 'player's coach'. Is it possible for Jauron to successfully go the other way - become more of a hard ass, be tougher, make players more accountable, practice outside - instill more toughness etc.? Is game day management something he can study and work to make himself better at?

I just can't believe he could think he can keep the same modus operandi at this point(?) - he must think he needs to make some changes, right? Could he do it if he wanted to?

  3. Our needs by priority:

    1. A big run-stuffing MLB so we can move Poz outside. Poz is a good blitzer and needs room to roam. Would make a huge difference. I don't think Crowell would be the answer, but I would still resign him as he is a good player and somewhat of a playmaker. I was a big supporter of Ellison, but after a somewhat stellar rookie season, he has has shown virtually nothing.

I personally don't get why so many people think going outside is magically going to make (what I see as) Poz's deficiencies magically go away - running as if in wet cement, getting pushed 15 yds out of plays by linemen, initially reading the play poorly and being out of position, and sometimes seeming like he just doesn't want to finish or even be involved in a play.

I think what he needs more is a healthy dose of film study and MLB 101, work on his agility/speed and fundamentals like leverage and shedding blocks, and maybe even a more 'killer' attitude out on the field...

  4. NE, being a very savvy organization will probably trade Brady as soon as he can pass a physical.

He's damaged goods, will likely never return to prior form and will bring a boatload of picks.

Not sure how likely it is that they will part with Brady next year - but as far as scenarios go, what could be sweeter than if they cast off Brady at some point in the next couple years to some crappy team and Tommy Boy's carrer ends in craptacular fashion with him getting the crap kicked out of him regularly, losing on a regular basis, and serious discussion ensues that maybe he really wasn't that special and any success 'earlier in his career' was a result of the "system"/cheating

  5. What about the Bee-yotch he was with - first swearing at the officers, then swinging and striking one in the back of the head (who was trying to pick up her cell phone), then trying to kick out the window of the patrol car... Just the kind of nice girl you want to bring home to Mom :wallbash:

  6. I don't have Sunday Ticket and I pretty much have seen every game for years. Just go to any bar/restaurant with the ticket to watch the games...

Note also - I see the internet streaming sites becoming more prevalent as time goes on as well - they will continue to pop up faster than anyone can shut them down. I've started more and more to watch hockey games etc. on them

I'm a loyal guy. I also like to think I am a reasonable person. But I need to not feel like an idiot for supporting this team. Maybe it's just time to support the hometown Titans. The owner is an idiot but at least he knows how to run his football business.

    Aiy, so sad.

Good to see Ed asking those important hard-hitting questions which are the absolute foremost priority of all Bills fans at this time - "How are you doing?"

  8. This pisses me off even more than the front office - all these underperforming/POS players like Kelsay, Preston and yes Poz going on all all year "Our coach is great - it's up to us - we need to wake up" - then wake the F up and stop talking about it and Fugging do it!!!!!. Honestly this team of players full of excuse makers and whiners and pussies ("I'd rather play in Toronto than be cold in Buffalo!") pisses me off more than Ralph and Jauron and the front office.

  9. There's some weird/interesting comments in Ralph's statement - he says specifically "It is well known that I share many of the fans’ dissatisfaction with our offensive game management" and doesn't mention any other source of dissatisfaction

Then among the things he "looks forward to" is "more assertive veteran leadership" - as if they discussed and have some specific players in mind?

From a PR perspective all I can think is that to attempt to strike a balance and create interest they are planning some blockbuster FA moves or trades or something (a la Bledsoe). Of course the irony is, if ST sales go down but they still sell out they actually make more $$ - if the team wins the people will come back and games will sell out, regardless of the ST base.

  10. AND the Jests didn't make it - best possible scenario. Throw in the Cowboys (and goes w/o saying throw out the Bills) and a pretty satisfying day. Now just want to see "the punk" Cutler and his self-proclained "> John Elway" arm get smashed a few times <_<

  11. And the offensive genius that is Dan Henning  Does anyone see a *glimpse* of the creativity in the Miami ofense and what he did here? <_<

BTW - this is a quote from his Wiki page

He then returned to the NFL as an offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills (1997–1998). After Hall of Fame coach Marv Levy retired partially due to his refusal to fire Henning, he left Buffalo.

With titles like this these guys have an obviously elevated sense of themselves - they need to go

When the hell has she ever been a difference maker - really? It all starts in the mail room..
