Schoebel to the Texans or Saints makes sense. His old DL coach is in Houston and he lives in Texas. Gregg Williams likes DEs like Schoebel. Whitner to the Eagles also makes sense since they have a need and Jauron is the new DB coach. If Philly is stingy on an offer (which they always are), I would keep Whitner. Maybe April would want Parrish in Philly?

If Bradford goes #1 The Bills might try to trade up with Detroit to get Clausen. Buffalo and Detroit have done a little trading the past few years including Ko Simpson, Dockery(botched), Posluszny(draft day). Detroit just traded for a DT and already have last years big paycheck @ #1. We may add a player or two plus #9 and next years #1. I'm not saying I agree, but after hearing Buddy and Chan harp on how much the NFL is a QB driven league, I could see them trying hard to get one this year. Sadly, this is a crappy year to be looking for one in the draft.

I could see Williams going ahead of Bulaga. He is about the same size and ran his 40 in 4.8 sec more or less. Also showed good technique and came from a big time program. Probably has more upside than Bulaga.

Lamonica played in a back-up role for a few years but spent most of his time in Oakland. I never mentioned warm weather or the south. My point was that we are 0 for 3 on our most recent high profile California QBs. If the Bills take Clausen at #9, I sure as heck hope he has what it takes. At least he will have a offensive minded head coach and what I hear is a quality QB coach. Seriously, I'm not sure any QB could have thrived under Dick Jauron and company.

Just finished trolling on the Broncos' site and found this Combine press conference. You just know this guy is going to be an animal at the next level. At 6'5", 330lbs, and with good feet, he could step right in Butler's vacated RT spot and make a heck of a combo with Eric Wood. Maybe trade down a few spots? Charlie Casserly rates this the strongest first round since 1983. You can get a quality player late in the round. If there is a team targeting a player that has dropped a bit to #9 you just may see the bat phone light up. Given our many needs, gathering some mid-round picks makes sense.
