This is a couple years old, but in the spirit of April Fool's, as well as how hot of a topic the QB position has been, here's a prank on Michael Vick that warrants a few laughs... Nephew Tommy Michael Vick Prank

Wonderlic test scores of 2018 NFL Draft QBs leaked
Brand J replied to Mopreme's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is a calculator allowed? I'd like to see what Rudolph scored. Have you guys seen his recall at Mariucci's white board? Very impressive. Mason Rudolph at the whiteboard with Steve Mariucci Interview session starts at 02:30 -

He has the size, yes, but nowhere close to the same processor upstairs.

He didn't run at the combine either. I don't think he wants that aspect of his game to wow the scouts. Also interesting to note: according to Mayock, teams are having trouble reaching him. They want to sit down and get him on the white board, but are having trouble in their efforts to know him. I also remember Lamar's interview where he stated he didn't want to speak after winning the Heisman. Seems like an overly shy guy and I don't think any of this pre-draft stuff appeals to him.

This article didn't do him any favors... Josh Rosen's preference It probably came from his earlier comments. He later came out and refuted that report.

For the sake of the Cleveland Brown's organization, as well as their loyal fanbase, I really, really, really hope they don't take Allen. Let the Jets screw up the pick!

Chris Brown article: Bills had 2 First Round picks before.....
Brand J replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I went back and looked at the 1985 NFL Draft, didn't realize the team was also in dire need of wide receivers. They selected three that year. Rather than drafting CB Derrick Burroughs at 14, I wonder what it was they didn't like about that receiver from Mississippi Valley St who went 16th to the 49ers? Can you imagine if Rice was selected at 14 and Reed was also picked in the 4th round? Wow. But every one of these drafts are filled with epic misses. If only I had a time machine... -
It's funny how people are ready to give up the 12th, 22nd, 53rd, 56th, 65th, and another 2019 first round pick for Josh Rosen, but can't stomach the idea of giving up the 22nd pick alone for a QB who was just named the Superbowl MVP. To be clear, I'm not advocating giving up the 22nd pick for a player who will be a UFA next year, but I also don't want to pay a king's ransom on a QB from this particular draft. I'm just smiling at how tantalizing the unknown seems to be for some of you folks.

Every Prospect that visited the Bills so far...

Would've liked to see the two UGA RBs on that list, specifically Michele. -
To be fair, Stafford played in the toughest football conference - the SEC - and his completion percentage, yards per attempt, and TDs increased every year. He threw for over 60% his final season.
-
I suspect Newton would've looked like a varsity QB playing with and against junior varsity players.
-
Scary schedule right there. You're making excuses for the kid. He played ho hum against lesser competition and like absolute garbage when he faced power 5 teams. I can't tell you for certain if he'll work out in the National Football League, no one can, but history suggests he won't.
-
Did you also watch the numerous times he bailed from a clean pocket? For argument's sake, let's put another QB in Allen's position, under the same circumstances, playing with and against that level of competition. How do you think Aaron Rodgers would fare? Let's go for a player with a closer parallel - how did Carson Wentz fare? "Josh Allen's teammates sucked, so he sucked" is not an argument that holds water with me. The great ones shine like a flashlight in a room full of darkness.
-
You'd never think this was a guy who struggled to throw for 300 yards against that level of competition. Twice in 26 games he accomplished this "feat." Was surprised to see he was 9/19 for 92 yards against those world beaters known as Hawaii. Those are Tyrod Taylor type of numbers. I think he'll be the next Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, Blake Bortles, etc. Guys with all the desired check marks, but players that don't have the brain that makes the game easy.
-
He has all the athletic ability you'd wish for in a QB, but the tape doesn't lie.

Can anyone recall the richest package of draft picks ever exchanged for the right to trade up? It's rumored for the Bills to move to #2, they'd have to give picks #12, #22, #53, #65, AND a 2019 1st round pick. Has any team ever traded THREE first round picks? The 2011 Julio Jones trade was the richest I can remember. ATL received: #6 pick in the draft CLE received: #27 pick in the draft, 2011 2nd round pick, 2011 4th round pick, 2012 1st round pick, 2012 4th round pick Looking back at the Mark Sanchez trade: NYJ received: #5 pick in the draft CLE received: #17 pick in the draft, 2nd round pick (#52), plus three marginal players - DE Kenyon Coleman, QB Brett Ratliff, and DB Abram Elam Just trying to put this potential trade into context...

True, Allen wasn't surrounded by NFL caliber talent, but he also had the luxury of going against DBs that won't even be considered as UDFAs. Playing against the likes of Gardner Webb, Texas State, New Mexico, etc., he should be KILLING those teams. If a player can't dominate in a pool of lesser talent, what does it say about that player? Forget about his stature and arm, his performance left A LOT to be desired. You're asking for someone who isn't innately accurate to star in a league where anticipation and accuracy are valued above all else. Can it be done? Sure, but it's asking a lot, considering no other QB in this modern era has gone on to have success when throwing for less than 60% in college.
-
This isn't an attempt to be snarky, I'm just curious... Why do you value Allen? Against power five teams, he was 48 of 96 for 427 yards, with one touchdown and eight interceptions. He only had two games over 300 yards passing in his entire collegiate career. One of those was against a school named Gardner Webb and the other took three overtimes. His career completion percentage is 56.2, despite having one of the lowest drop rates among this year's QBs. He had 44 TDs in his career, to go with 21 INTs. To put that into perspective, Baker Mayfield had 41 TD passes this year alone. Aside from his prototypical size and cannon arm, what do you see in Allen that makes you believe he'd be a standout QB? I just don't see it.

Jets just traded with Colts for #3 pick in first round
Brand J replied to Hurricane's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would rather wait to see how the draft plays out. Say we grab Jackson at 22, if it's clear none of those three QBs have what it takes to lead the Bills, then I'd sign Foles next year as an UFA. No need to give up draft compensation. I'm also on record for not wanting to mortgage our entire draft for the #2 pick. -

Josh Allen started 26 games at Wyoming. He failed to throw for 300 or more yards in 25 of them (96%). -

I know a lot of you are desperate for a QB, I am too, but unless you have a crystal ball and know for sure Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield are bound for the HOF, you need to chill. It's quite possible another QB in this draft goes on to have a better career than any of those three. Don't give up the farm if the Giants want a King's ransom. No one will die if Darnold, Rosen, and Mayfield are all chosen by teams other than the Bills. -
Who else really wants a first round MLB?
Brand J replied to Bing Bong's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd also love to pair Vita Vea next to Star, but we've only got a couple draft picks in the first and it's likely both will go towards one of "the big three" QBs (and rightfully so). -
You can add Dan Marino to that list as well. But all those guys played in a totally different era.

I noticed Allen likes to bail from a clean pocket too often. We just traded a QB who had the same problem. Aside from his noted struggles against power 5 teams... This is a highlight/lowlight video, his lowlights start at 7:07. Josh Allen Film Study
