I saw those watch band things last night...those are pretty cool! How do you like the new version of the nano?

How bout those Philadelphia 76'ers!!!!! (sorry, just not often I get to say that...)

That's how I feel. As most of us know, this show used to be a laugh a minute, and some of the humor was really sharp. I'm definitely in Carrell withdrawal. I like the Spader addition, but the show just isn't the same. I would definitely watch a Dwight spinoff to start, but they would have to really be careful about the supporting cast and the writing.

That is so awesome. You're exactly right, this is a perfect example of haters being haters. To to this sort of thing for a CE product that is 6+ years old, far beyond the lifespan of many CE products, is fantastic customer service. And I'm sure that the motivation for it was a liability issue more than anything else, but the way in which they are solving the problem is where the customer service element comes into play. The part that kills me is that even though it clearly says it takes about six weeks for the turnaround, people were complaining because they weren't getting theirs back in four weeks like a few others had. I just don't get it... It's funny cause this week I found out that my company reimburses us for our license renewal fees, and I had no idea they did that. I told the site director how much I appreciated that generosity, because of the several places I've worked since graduating in 2001 with my professional degree, I have NEVER heard of a company doing that. But sure enough, several of my colleagues took a very cynical approach saying the company was trying to lock us in by doing that, or that there was some ulterior motive in the gesture. All of this was unfounded of course, and all it really did was serve to embarrass a few of us who appreciated it from the minute we found out. Oh well...life goes on! I'm glad to hear you got yours back, Corp! Did you get a good color? I heard they were sending out mostly the gray ones, is that what you got?

Which losing Super Bowl team did you want to win?

I love watching NFL films pieces about the early super bowl years...what you just described is a rivalry that I honestly didn't even know existed until a few years ago. That must have really been interesting to see go down! Oddly enough, as I'm typing this there is a preview on HBO for the upcoming documentary, "Namath"...that will be something to see, I'm sure. Agree with all of this. I forgot about the Cardinals v. Pitt. Considering I am more apathetic toward the Cards that probably just about any team in sports, I was jumping up and down like a kid when the went up on Pitt late in the 4th...I still can't believe that Benny hit that pass to Holmes...I give them credit for an amazing play, but DAMMIT I wanted Warner and the guys to pull that one out. I tend to route for underdogs when I have no horse in the race, and that would have been a great win for the Cards. -
Okay, so it's not that you necessarily have objections to Moore in general, you just wouldn't want to use a mid-to-high pick on the kid? And I'm not being critical of you at all, I'm just curious. I haven't seen enough of Boise to really feel strongly one way or the other. It just seems that the more info I've gathered about him, he would be a really attractive pick if it was later in the draft. Osweiler has really become interesting to me as a prospect, as well. I'm glad you mentioned him. I know that Chan and Buddy won't draft a QB early, but some of these other kids present very interesting scenarios after rd 3. Hell, I'd draft Tannehill just to have his girlfriend hanging around the Ralph!

I'm still not over that one, man. I know not everyone disagrees about McNabb's performance at the end of that game, but I still haven't forgiven the guy. As for my SBs, I remember wanting Elway and the Brocos to have beaten the 49s in '89 or whenever that was. That was just complete and utter destruction, man. -
lol...the thing with McShay and Kiper, IMO, is that they just aren't all that sharp. Sure, they know every college player and their mother, where they went to school, and they can put together a mock draft same as a monkey can. But Mayock has quite a bit more going on upstairs. He's a thinker and an analyzer. I also feel he's a very good teacher, because he gets his points across in a very clear and concise manner. I honestly don't even understand how McShay GOT that job. He must have some dirt on the powers that be at ESPN or something. There must be literally hundreds of people more qualified than he is. Hell, there are people here on TBD I would bet could do a better job than Todd. You'll have to just take me word for it that I'm even rolling my eyes at myself as I type this, but do you remember the criticism of Brady when he came out of Michigan? He had a noodle arm. Would you really not take Moore if he were there on day 3 of the draft?

Alright! That's two...very cool I don't know if you guys have been reading through any of the posts on the apple forum (you can link to it from the replacement info), but I cannot BELIEVE how ungrateful some of these people are. I like my little 1G nano, and I even like the looks of it better than then new one...but I will GLADLY take them up on this. The newer one has like 4x the capacity, a touch screen, and they're even giving us a few months of warranty coverage to boot. On top of that, it's apparently a very rare issue, and nobody is forcing them to send their 1G's back...lol

I'm a fan of Mayock, as well. If football knowledge was monster, Todd McShay's monster would run away screaming from Mayock's and shart all over itself in the process.

have you relocated away from buffalo ?
ajzepp replied to drinkTHEkoolaid's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The two places I've heard fit that description are Columbus, OH and Elizabethtown, KY. -
Nice! I figured this wouldn't get a huge response, but if one or two of my fellow TBD'ers qualified for it it was worth the time to share it The new nanos are like $130, so that's pretty generous of Apple IMO. Apparently they've had many more returned than they thought were out there, which is why they are just sending us new ones instead of refurbs. Hopefully we'll both have new nanos in the next morth or two!

These are interesting teams! The two country guys are going to be interesting to watch. A few nice looking young ladies in there, too Those lady FBI agents aren't the best looking chicks on earth, but they can arrest me any time! Not sure what to think about Brenchel...

I'll throw out another vote for Philly. I moved away from there back in '99 and I've missed it ever since. I loved the mid-Atlantic climate, the fantastic public transit (trains), the history, the architecture, the schools (proud Temple U grad), the diversity, the women, the food, and above all, the AMAZING SPORTS CULTURE. As I told Pooj before he moved there, it doesn't even matter if you're a fan of any of the Philly teams. The scene there is just amazing...the fans are intensely loyal, the main sports talk station (WIP 610am, although I think they have an FM spot now) is hugely entertaining, the sports complex in south philly is amazing (and conveniently accessible by the SEPTA trains, might I add!), and there is ALWAYS something to do. If a spot ever opens up with my company to transfer back there, I will do it in a heartbeat. I was born in the opposite corner of PA, but Philly is my second hometown as far as I'm concerned. -
I was told about this the other day on Audio Circle, and surprisingly enough my iPod qualified. If you happen to have a 1st generation nano, Apple is in the process of replacing them at no charge for brand new generation 6 models. Apparently the batteries in the 1Gs become more unstable with time. Here is the link if anyone is interested: http://www.apple.com/support/ipodnano_replacement/

Don't ask questions...just buy it dammit. mmmmmmmMMMMMMMAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

He's staying for senior year.
-
I would draft Kellen Moore. He's the one who fits the criteria from those QB formulas they use, and last year Dalton was the one who fit it...Moore is a gamer. I'd pick him up and see what happens.
-
Sorry Cowgirls, I just felt it was my public duty as a proud mbr of society and TBD to let others know of this.

LOL!!!!! I know things about vaginas I don't WANT to know, brother! I'll never forget the first time I was catheterizing a woman...it was in a long term acute care hospital filled mostly with seniors. The patient was around 70 y.o. and quite heavy. The RN that was precepting me always found me ways to improve my skills, so I took her up on this challenge. She was from somewhere in the Caribbean and very, very firm and direct...sort of a modern day nurse ratchet. Anyway, I created my sterile field, had my supplies ready to go, had two other RNs on the side of the lady helping me to get some, uh, room to work in there. I clean the area and go to insert the catheter, and my preceptor yells out, "THAT'S THE CLIT!!!!!!" Ever since that day I've never forgotten that the urethra is underneath the clitoris Who knew, right?

I'm glad you find this so funny mister!!
