  1. Linens and Things is still open. I just checked out their great "deals" the other day.
  2. I hate those things. Merchants never seem to know how to process them and you have to keep track of the exact balance yourself.
  3. Just to clarify this wasn't on the way home from the game, it was the next day. He did attend the game the night before though.
  4. No doubt Pong related.
  5. Is it under warrenty still? Don't try anything or else you'll void it. Those are only short term tricks anyway, your unit is toast.
  6. Parental involvement for one. How did kids learn to play cops and robbers and cowboys and indians before video games? How often did you see kids with realistic toy guns in the 50's through 80's compared to now? I suppose Roy Rodgers had no affect on kids because the bad guy never actually bled. I played with cap guns as a kid, which feels a lot more realistic then and animated one. Not saying it doesn't have some affect on kids, but there is a hell of a lot more behind it then just entertainment media.
  7. True. I can't count the number of turtles I jumped on and mushrooms I ate when I was a kid.
  8. I'm so glad I crossed into apathy years ago.
  9. Don't feed the trolls
  10. The Guardian says she's accepting, other sources needed of course. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2008/nov/1...retary-of-state If true, at least NY can say goodbye to the carpetbagger.
  11. Northerly winds are starting to set up. Don't count on much during the game outside of a stray band.
  12. Having access shouldn't lower your score then which is what I was referring to. I thought plenzmd1 was saying this was dropping his score but I could have read it wrong.
  13. What places are "pinging" your credit score? I thought a company had to advise you when they are going to run a credit check, and provide you with a copy at your request?
  14. Did anyone else misread the title as virgins the first time?
  15. I stopped in a supermarket there just to check out the Spam selection. I was so jealous.
  16. I won't sit here and tell you the real world hasn't started for you because that's BS. Everyone has their own challenges and experiences at different ages. I will tell you though, that when I was 24 I thought I knew everything. When I was 25, I realized what an idiot I was and now thought I knew everything. At 26, 27.......you get the idea. I'm 29 and realized even though I've gone to college on my own dime, worked my way up from crappy jobs to a decent career, gotten married, bought a house, two new cars, deaths in the family, health scares......that I don't know sh--. It's not about intelligence, it's about wisdom and that's just not attainable at a young age. And the sooner you get that mindset, the sooner you'll stop sounding like the coddled little scholar you portray yourself as and the more your opinion will start being respected.
  17. Fire all executives.
  18. I don't think my arms can reach that far. I'm out.
  19. But you'll miss all those exciting shuffles.
  20. I'll save our liberal friends the trouble of typing. You lost, get over it.
  21. Hey NYS Teachers Union. Thanks for all those magazines and ads in my mailbox the past few years telling us to vote Democrat. How ya feeling now? On the plus side, my wife now gets to mock her coworkers instead of being the brunt of the joke. So the obvious place to look is education. Let's keep overlooking the bloated and overpaid state workforce. Thanks NY voters, you elected an ego-maniac and we ended up with Helen Keller as a governor. And I'm afraid that's an insult to Helen.
  22. Is there a way to take away this posters "New Topic" button?
  23. I'd like to be a flute.
